As dawn broke, the entire DR-5 planet was shrouded in a heavy silence.
The chaos continued, seemingly unending. Many places lay in ruins, as if a disaster had just struck. The usual lively atmosphere was gone; although the sun still shone brightly, an oppressive feeling began to spread.
This morning, the entire DR-5 planet seemed to have quieted down. Even conversations were hushed compared to the usual loudness. In Starlight City, beneath the Starlight Platform, many citizens stood silently below, while on stage were the Star Master of DR-5, the Star Empress, the Lord of Starlight City, and various high-ranking leaders of the planet.
"Last night, we experienced the most chaotic situation in DR-5's history. While we were still asleep in our beds, we were awakened by the noise and commotion outside. Confused, we later witnessed our Mechanical Soldiers and Mechanical Guards, along with unknown Mechanical Legions, wreaking havoc across our beautiful home. Many areas of our planet have been reduced to ruins, and there are numerous casualties," Aitak paused before continuing, "We still do not know what caused these Mechanical Soldiers to revolt, but I believe we will soon understand everything. Now let us hear from our Chief of Security, Jessica."
Jessica stepped onto the stage with a serious expression and stated firmly, "I believe that the events occurring on our planet may have been orchestrated by someone with ill intentions. After intervening in the incident, we discovered that many Mechanical Guard Squads had been tampered with."
"Wow..." As soon as Jessica spoke those words, many people widened their eyes and began to murmur among themselves. They could not comprehend why anyone would commit such acts in this peaceful era.
"Ahem." Jessica cleared her throat twice and continued, "We suspect that certain individuals wish to recreate that period of chaos in our Star History (from Year 9 to Year 5), and who knows what else they might be planning..." Before she could finish, a heavy groan came from behind her, prompting her to quickly amend her statement: "Of course, these are merely my personal speculations. We will conduct a thorough investigation into the specifics of this matter and will inform the public at the earliest opportunity. That concludes my remarks."
After Jessica stepped down, Selma took her place on stage. "Dear citizens, we will dispatch security teams to all affected locations and provide compensation for those who have lost their homes or suffered injuries. Now that you are all informed about the situation, you may return home. Those facing difficulties can stay behind; our guards will assist you. We assure you that this matter will be resolved swiftly so that we can restore our vibrant and beautiful planet."
Once everything concluded, Aitak, Selma, and others gathered in the Council Hall above Starlight City.
"Jessica, what about Nai's situation?" Aitak asked.
Jessica nodded and stood up. "Nai has been missing since before last night's riot began. We have yet to find any information regarding him. Nai Hall now only has some ordinary Mechanical Guards left; all others have vanished as well. Additionally, beneath Nai Hall, we discovered a vast space where a palace resembling one from Earth has been constructed. There we also found numerous documents related to the New Empire."
"What?"
"What is Nai up to?"
"Is he trying to get himself killed?"
"Hmph, he certainly is bold."
After Jessica finished speaking, the lords of various main cities and regional leaders began to discuss Nai's actions fervently.
“Hmm.” Aitak tapped his finger on his forehead, looking at Selma and asking, “Selma, what do you think about this matter?”
“If that’s the case, then Nai must have ambitions to establish a New Empire. Markett the Sage and the others are right.”
“Hmm. What do you all think about this?” Aitak inquired.
“We should find Nai immediately.”
“We need to root out Nai’s underground forces right away.”
……
Aitak waved his hand, signaling for silence, and the room quieted down. “So according to your opinions, finding Nai is the key?”
“Yes.”
“Indeed.”
“We agree as well.”
……
“Selma, what’s your suggestion?”
Selma looked at Aitak, unsure of his meaning, but replied, “My suggestion is also to find Nai immediately while searching for Nai’s hidden forces.”
“Alright, let’s proceed with that.” Aitak glanced around the room and stood up. “Jessica.”
“Yes, Star Master.”
“You will be responsible for tracking down Nai’s whereabouts. Make sure to be quick.”
"Yes."
"Lalbin."
"Here, Star Master." A sturdy middle-aged man stood up.
"The hidden forces regarding Nai will be your responsibility. Remember to handle it well."
"Understood, Star Master."
"Chief of Security."
"Here, Star Master."
"You are in charge of the riots in various cities and regions, and you need to strengthen security measures."
"Loki."
"Here, Star Master."
"You are responsible for the interstellar routes; we are now under emergency lockdown."
"Yes."
"Alright, as for the other matters, let's assess the situation first. Each city and region, please report your status." As soon as Aitak finished speaking, someone stood up. However, once he did, the communication devices of all the city lords and Regional Leaders rang out simultaneously. The city lords and Regional Leaders all turned to look at Aitak and Selma, who merely nodded without speaking, given the current special circumstances and the urgent indicator lights that had just gone off.
After receiving consent from Aitak and Selma, they quickly opened the messages. But when they saw the contents, their expressions changed drastically. Soon after, Aitak and the others heard a loud rumbling from outside.
"What’s going on?" Aitak rushed out immediately, followed closely by the others.
What Aitak saw first was the ruins on the ground, thick smoke, and flooding. At the same time, he also spotted the rampaging Mechanical Soldiers.
"Quick, Chief of Security, hurry up. And you too, Jessica, Lalbin, go!" Aitak commanded.
"Yes." The Chief of Security and the others quickly left, and Aitak returned to the Council Hall. Just as he sat down, he saw Selma enter with most of the Lords and the Regional Leader. However, they seemed to be centered around Selma.
Aitak looked at Selma and asked curiously, "Selma, what's going on?"
"Are you asking me?" Selma laughed.
"Of course."
"No, you shouldn't ask me; you should ask them." Selma pointed to the Lords and the Regional Leader behind her.
"Them?"
"Yes." Selma nodded and said to the Lords and the Regional Leader, "You explain it yourselves."
An older Lord stepped forward and pointed at Aitak. "You have been secretly instructing your Mechanical Legion to incite riots in various cities and regions to fulfill your desire to establish a New Empire. However..." The Lord smiled cunningly, "We dispatched a large number of reconnaissance machines during the riots and later received shocking news."
"And that is that these riots were all orchestrated by our beloved Star Master Aitak," another Lord stepped forward.
