"Wow..." Just as Nai was speaking, a sudden voice interrupted from the side. Everyone turned to see Aitak crying and pounding the ground.
"This..." Everyone was stunned. How could it be that the esteemed Star Master Aitak was crying?
Aitak got up from the ground, stumbled a couple of steps, and walked over to Nai. Nai watched Aitak in confusion, still trying to figure out what was happening when Aitak suddenly pushed him aside, nearly causing him to fall.
"Damn it! Ruining my father's image! Once I catch that fake me, I'm going to teach him a good lesson," Adela said with a look of anger.
"I'll join you in teaching him a lesson," Betis chimed in.
"Sister, Brother, what about you two?" Adela asked, looking at Aigasha and Aida with curiosity.
Aigasha and Aida exchanged glances. Aigasha shook his head with a smile, declining. Aida, however, seemed more excited and immediately agreed.
"Oh, you guys!" Kathy said, shaking her head and smiling helplessly at the children.
Meanwhile, Sima Chuan and Luo Mengqi were hiding with the real Aitak off to the side.
Aitak curiously asked Sima Chuan, "Noel, why can't I go out now and expose their scheme?"
"Wouldn't the great Star Master know?" Luo Mengqi teased from the side.
"Uh, heh heh, I really got confused for a moment there."
"Just watch closely. Enjoy their performance; soon enough, they'll embarrass themselves. We need to strike them hard," Sima Chuan said with a smile.
"This can't be real," Jessica, Lalbin, Mechanical Guard Captain, and Loki all thought at the same time.
On stage, Aitak began his confession: "I stand here to repent for the crimes I have committed against the people of this planet. When I was planning this, I anticipated that it would come to this, yet I couldn't hold back. I never expected it to happen so quickly. At first, I was proud that my plan was about to be realized; I could rule the entire planet. From the beginning, I believed Selma was unnecessary, which led me to devise a way to eliminate them all and initiate a revolution. Everything I desired could become reality. If it weren't for Selma, Nai, and the various city lords and Regional Leaders, I might have continued with this mad plan indefinitely.
"Now, I, Aitak, make a promise to the people of this planet: I will step down from the position of Star Master and address my issues according to the dr-5 Planet Law." After finishing his statement, Aitak dejectedly stepped down.
"Let's cheer for our former Star Master Aitak; he has finally come to his senses. Now, we will take Aitak back with us. After the first trial is completed, we will resolve the challenges before us as soon as possible," Selma said as she prepared to leave with everyone. However, at that moment, a sudden voice interrupted: "What a splendid performance!"
Although Sima Chuan's voice was not loud, everyone heard it clearly. They turned in the direction of the voice and saw Sima Chuan and Luo Mengqi approaching the platform with someone cloaked in a robe.
"Now comes the real show," Betis remarked with a smile.
"It should be quite splendid!"
"Do we need to go out?" Aigasha asked.
Markett thought for a moment and replied, "Let's go out; they might need us soon."
"What are you doing here?" Selma asked warily as she looked at Sima Chuan and his companions.
"Of course, I'm here to expose your lies," Sima Chuan shrugged and replied.
"What lies? You're just spouting nonsense. Mechanical Guard Squad, these three are with Aitak!" Selma shouted.
“Selma, are you getting angry?” Luo Mengqi mocked.
“Mechanical Guard Squad,” Selma shouted again, but no Mechanical Guards appeared. “What’s going on?”
At that moment, the Mechanical Guard Captain stepped in front of Selma. “Please forgive my rudeness; we need the real truth.”
“What do you mean? Do you think so many of us would fabricate the truth? Especially when Aitak himself admitted it.”
“No, Star Master Aitak never admitted to anything,” Sima Chuan waved his hand and laughed.
“Noel, what do you mean? Don’t think just because you’re Markett the Sage’s grandson, you can do whatever you want. Am I supposed to create a fake Aitak?” Selma shouted at Sima Chuan.
Some people visibly reacted with surprise at the mention of Markett’s name, looking at Sima Chuan differently.
“Of course you would,” a familiar voice echoed. It was the cloaked figure that others had overlooked. He pulled off his cloak, revealing a face identical to Aitak's. Selma and Nai were momentarily stunned by the sight but quickly regained their composure. Selma looked at Nai with a questioning gaze, and Nai shrugged innocently, indicating he didn’t know either.
“What’s going on?” Those unaware of the truth glanced between Sima Chuan and Aitak, then back at the Aitak on stage. The two looked exactly alike; it was impossible to tell which was which.
Aitak walked up to the platform and stood beside the other “Aitak.” “I believe everyone wants to know why there are two Aitaks. The truth has two sides: one is the Star Empress Selma’s version, and the other is that Selma wants to rule the entire planet while Nai aims to transform it into a technological empire. So they created a copy of Aitak and imprisoned the real Star Master Aitak to achieve their goal of framing him. That’s why there are two of me.”
“Oh, that’s insane.”
“Is this really true?”
"Which one should we believe?"
...
"Why? I'm confessing my sins, why are you disturbing me, you impostor?" Aitak shouted, pointing at Aitak.
"No, it should be you, impostor. I think your performance is really quite good, very moving," Aitak replied mockingly.
"Damn it, you impostor!" Aitak swung a punch at Aitak, who quickly dodged. Seeing the fake Aitak act this way, Sima Chuan guessed what Selma and the others were up to. Just as he was about to intervene, he was stopped by a city lord who smiled and asked, "Noel, why are you slandering our esteemed Star Empress like this? Also, do you have any evidence for your claims?"
"Get out of the way," Sima Chuan pushed the city lord aside. However, at that moment, the two Aitaks were fighting each other, making it impossible to tell which one was real and which one was fake.
The city lord, feeling humiliated by Sima Chuan's shove, became furious. "Noel, I see you have some sort of scheme. You want to take advantage of this situation to eliminate the Star Master and the Star Empress so you can control our entire planet. Is that right?"
"Haha..." Sima Chuan laughed, and Luo Mengqi joined in. Sima Chuan pointed at the city lord and said loudly, "You are just a city lord replaced by Nai's Mechanical Legion, a Regional Leader at best. What qualifications do you have to speak here?"
Not long ago, Sima Chuan had the Noel Battleship scan all the city lords and Regional Leaders on Selma's side; most had been replaced by the Mechanical Legion. The list provided by the Noel Battleship confirmed this for Sima Chuan.
As soon as Sima Chuan spoke these words, the situation became even more chaotic.
