Markett the Sage had just returned from the Mechanical Recycling facility when he saw four figures rushing towards him. Startled, he looked at the four figures warily, preparing to flee, when he heard several familiar voices.
“Grandpa, where has Sima Chuan gone?”
“Sage, what is Sima Chuan up to?”
“Sage, what about Qiong?”
The four voices belonged to Luo Mengqi, Adela, Betis, and Yiling. Seeing these four women eased Markett's tension. He maintained a calm expression and replied, “Isn't Sima Chuan and Qiong looking for Nai somewhere else?”
“That’s impossible! Even if they went somewhere, we should be able to contact them,” Luo Mengqi said anxiously.
“Yeah, Sage, it’s been so long; he should have returned by now,” Adela added with concern.
“Old man Markett, don’t think that just because you’re Sima Chuan’s grandfather we can’t do anything to you,” Betis glared at Markett menacingly.
“Sage, I want to know about Qiong’s whereabouts.”
Looking at the anxious faces of the four women, Markett felt a twinge of guilt. Did they know something? That shouldn’t be possible. He had used a decoy to disguise himself as them and fly off to another location. Shaking off those unrealistic thoughts, Markett laughed heartily. “You all are just worrying too much. They might have gone somewhere far away, which is why they haven’t returned yet. Look at the others; they haven’t come back either.”
“Really?” the four women asked in unison.
“Of course it’s true,” Markett assured them confidently. The four tried to read something from Markett's face but found nothing and eventually gave up, returning to their rooms one by one. After entering her room, Luo Mengqi did nothing but stare blankly and muttered to herself, “Sima Chuan, where are you? Are you in trouble? Why do I feel so uneasy?”
Gradually rising from her seat, Luo Mengqi walked to the window and gazed at the starry sky outside. Unconsciously, images of Sima Chuan and his smiling face filled her mind. Memories began to unfold bit by bit: from their initial misunderstanding to later competitions, that night of heartfelt conversation and guidance, then destroying the Mechanical Manufacturing Plant together when danger first appeared; finally, Sima Chuan's perilous fall into the river. They met again in Fucheng where Sima Chuan had lost his memory; she competed with Shang Qiong for Sima Chuan's attention during that battle before leaving Earth; playing together in the primitive jungles of Blue Ocean Star while teasing Sima Chuan; later competing with Mina for Sima Chuan's affection and encouraging Mina; ultimately building a clan with Sima Chuan before leaving Blue Ocean Star. Then there were all the experiences on planet dr-5… Luo Mengqi smiled knowingly.
That night as she slept, Luo Mengqi dreamed of living freely and happily with Sima Chuan, her lips gradually curling into a smile.
Although Adela had heard Markett mention Sima Chuan directly, she still felt uneasy. After all, Markett had hesitated noticeably when answering their questions. Moreover, even if Sima Chuan had gone elsewhere in this vast universe filled with dangers lurking everywhere, one misstep could lead to disaster. As Adela pondered this, she seemed to make a firm decision and nodded affirmatively to herself, saying, “I’ll do just that.”
In contrast, Betis appeared more relaxed. Initially worried after hearing Luo Mengqi and the others talk about it, she was generally cheerful and lively. Upon hearing that Markett confirmed Sima Chuan was safe, her heart finally settled down.
Yiling was still a bit worried, silently pondering something, and eventually, without realizing it, she left.
The next morning, Adela skipped breakfast and went straight to Aitak. "Father, I want to find Sima Chuan."
"What?" Aitak frowned and asked.
"Yes, Father, I'm afraid Sima Chuan might be in danger," Adela said with a worried expression.
After hearing Adela's reasoning, Aitak chuckled. "Don't worry, Sima Chuan won't easily encounter danger. Don't forget he has a team, and they are all elites."
"But what if he runs into Nai's Shadow Legion?" Adela questioned.
"This?" Aitak hesitated because he had never compared the Shadow Legion with Sima Chuan's group and didn't know who was stronger.
"Father, if the two sides clash, what are Sima Chuan's chances of winning?" Adela pressed on.
"Well, this...," Aitak felt a bit awkward.
"Then I must go find Sima Chuan." Adela turned around and walked away.
"Ai!" Aitak could only sigh helplessly as he watched Adela's departing figure.
Yiling approached Luo Mengqi and said, "Elder sister, I want to find Qiong."
"Why?" Luo Mengqi looked at Yiling in surprise.
"I'm worried..." Yiling couldn't finish her sentence.
"Alright, I'll go with you. I want to see if Sima Chuan is trying to woo any girls," Luo Mengqi said after thinking for a moment.
"Okay, elder sister, let's go find Grandpa now."
"Wow, how come you called Grandpa so quickly?" Luo Mengqi teased deliberately.
Yiling replied nonchalantly, "Aren't you the same, big sister?"
"You little brat, how dare you tease me!" Luo Mengqi said as she reached out to poke Yiling's forehead, but Yiling dodged. "Big sister, let's go find Grandpa."
"Alright." Luo Mengqi stood up and walked out of the room.
Markett was having breakfast when he saw Luo Mengqi and Yiling arrive. He greeted them warmly, "Mengqi, Yiling, you're here! Come sit down for breakfast."
However, Luo Mengqi and Yiling did not sit down. They exchanged glances and said, "Grandpa, we want to go find Sima Chuan and Qiong."
Upon hearing their words, Markett paused his actions and looked at them, asking, "What's going on?"
"I'm worried that Qiong might be in danger," Yiling spoke first.
"I'm worried too," Luo Mengqi nodded in agreement.
"I'll go with you," a voice came from behind them. They turned to see Adela approaching from outside.
"It seems we're all thinking the same thing," Luo Mengqi said as she walked up to Adela with a smile.
"Yes," Adela nodded and then turned to Markett. "Grandpa, please allow us to go."
"Well, this..." Markett hesitated.
"Then we'll just take it as your silent approval, Grandpa," Luo Mengqi said playfully with a grin.
"Oh dear!" Markett finally sighed.
"What’s going on? What are you all up to?" Betis had just come out of the room.
"We're discussing going to find Sima Chuan and Qiong," Yiling said.
"Then I'm going too," Betis replied without hesitation.
"You can't go anywhere." A commanding voice interrupted them as Aitak slowly approached, fixing his gaze on Adela and the other three women. Markett let out a sigh of relief upon seeing Aitak arrive.
"Why not, Father? We're just worried about our loved ones," Adela said, staring at Aitak.
After a long moment of eye contact between Aitak and Adela, Aitak exhaled deeply and sighed, "Don't worry, I will send the best Battleship and guards to search for Sima Chuan and Qiong. You all should stay here."
"But..." Yiling began, only to be cut off by Aitak. "No buts. You will stay here. If you go out, who can guarantee your safety?"
"I..."
"Luo Mengqi, I know you and Yiling can protect Adela and Betis, but what if something goes wrong? If Sima Chuan and Qiong see that you are in danger, what do you think they will do?"
The four women fell silent, unsure of what to do next.
"Don't worry, I will send the Battleship out shortly to look for their whereabouts and quickly get in touch with Sima Chuan and the others to bring them back for a reunion with you all," Markett said before leaving, leaving the remaining few in silence.
