"Is it inequality and the wealth gap? Unfortunately, no matter how perfect the system is, it cannot change this fact; it is human nature." As he looked at the passionate youths outside, Yang Xiaoyou stuffed food into his mouth, thinking nonchalantly. 0

No matter how well the Common Unity Party spoke of their ideals, or how selfless their leadership seemed now, once they rose to power, things would inevitably change. Throughout history, no dynasty's transition has altered this reality. Yang Xiaoyou recalled that during his time, the Common Unity Party had already begun to show signs of corruption. 0

From Yang Xiaoyou's perspective, the current protests by these passionate youths and the armed guerrilla actions that would follow were merely satisfying the private desires of a few. Perhaps many participants understood the underlying issues, but they also had their own demands. If they succeeded, they would be hailed as the founding heroes of a new generation. 0

Although he did not take it seriously, Yang Xiaoyou did not harbor a negative impression of the future rebels. It was simply that someone was exploiting human nature. Flies do not buzz around an unbroken egg; if the current government were not problematic, such large-scale agitation would not be possible. 0

"I wonder when Zhao Chen joined them; he still owes me a favor." After stuffing in two more pieces of cake, Yang Xiaoyou clapped his hands to shake off the crumbs and left the restaurant. 0

With one identity as a student and another as an arms dealer, he could always find a suitable position for himself amidst chaos. However, from his current viewpoint, the rise of the Common Unity Party still followed the trajectory of history. He couldn't help but ponder what changes might occur if he secretly eliminated Zhao Chen. 0

However, evidently, while changing his negative historical impact on himself, ensuring that history followed its major trajectory according to his memories would allow him to gain maximum benefits. Understanding future trends was one of his most important assets. 0

Aside from that, having gathered a group of fellows he could dream about and smile in his sleep was already quite valuable. Once his initial capital accumulated... 0

He could easily invest in some companies he remembered, such as Iceland P, which developed Virtual Docking Technology in the gaming and entertainment sector. 0

Even though funds were tight at present, Yang Xiaoyou managed to pull together one million dollars to acquire some shares in that company—the one that would shine brightest in the future with its Virtual Docking Technology. 0

There were similar situations with other companies; however, those firms were not facing financial bottlenecks at the moment. Thus, he decided to save those funds for now and use them as starting capital for himself. 0

While contemplating these matters, he found a mall to completely change into his original student attire. Satisfied with his reflection in the mirror, Yang Xiaoyou nodded approvingly. 0

"Only two days until school starts! Ah! For the first time, I realize how wonderful this school life can be." Stretching lazily, Yang Xiaoyou felt an overwhelming sense of relaxation and joy wash over him. 0

After gaining those pressure-filled memories, it had been so long since he enjoyed such a feeling. Whether it was during the operations in Kapa City or the subsequent two months filled with crises due to arms smuggling—along with the Memory Fragments constantly lingering in his mind—the invisible pressure had been immense. 0

Only after losing something do you learn to cherish it. Now he realized that living peacefully and happily without constant worry was truly beautiful. 0

With this joyful mindset, he stepped out and hopped into a taxi heading for Hongqiao Train Station. 0

However, the pleasant mood of Yang Xiaoyou did not last for more than a few minutes before the situation that unfolded made him feel like he was about to spit blood. 0

"Baldy, who is he?" After Yang Xiaoyou got into the car and announced his destination, the taxi's doors on both sides swung open simultaneously. Two men quickly squeezed in, trapping Yang Xiaoyou in the middle, while a lithe figure leaped in from the passenger side window with agility. 0

As soon as these people entered, the taxi slammed on the gas and sped away. 0

The person speaking to the taxi driver was a strikingly attractive Red-Haired Woman. Her face was adorned with streaks of colorful paint, and a baseball cap obscured part of her hair and half of her cheek. The hair that peeked out from under the cap was dyed a fiery red, giving her an untamed appearance. The agility she displayed earlier made it clear that she was more than just a pretty face. 0

"Huh? Aren't you one of ours? I flipped the vacant sign down," the driver said, puzzled as he drove at high speed. 0

After he spoke, Yang Xiaoyou felt the two large men on either side of him glance at him simultaneously. 0

The sound of police sirens blaring behind them informed Yang Xiaoyou why this taxi was driving so recklessly. 0

"Damn it, is my peaceful life over already? Have the Radicals shown up this early?!" At that moment, Yang Xiaoyou felt a surge of frustration, wishing he could tear apart everyone in the car. 0

From the parade on the street and their attire, Yang Xiaoyou had a rough idea of their identities. 0

They were Radicals from the Common Unity Party, which later became known as Guerrillas. He wasn't sure what heinous acts they had committed, but the wailing sirens behind him only darkened his mood further. 0

Having been treated as a White Mouse for several years, Yang Xiaoyou only understood the general trends for the coming years; he knew very little about what was actually happening domestically. He had thought that the Radicals wouldn't appear for a few more years, but here they were now. 0

Perhaps due to his earlier good mood, he hadn't noticed that the taxi parked by the roadside indicated it was occupied. This punishment seemed rather cruel; after all, he was currently living under a perfectly legitimate student identity—one he intended to maintain for his family's sake. 0

Regardless of anything else, simply being in the same taxi as them meant that if they were caught, he would undoubtedly be implicated. The central government’s crackdown on the Common Unity Party must have intensified by now. With a Radical's mark on him, any semblance of a peaceful life would be gone. 0

"He's just a civilian. After we shake off those tailing us, we can dump him anywhere," decided the Fire-like Woman in the passenger seat after sizing up Yang Xiaoyou through the rearview mirror and adjusting her cap. 0

The others had no objections to her decision. 0

Hearing those words, Yang Xiaoyou finally let out a sigh of relief. The Common Unity Party, for the sake of its own reputation, was relatively lenient towards civilians. If they truly had the ability to shake off the pursuing Police Officers, there might still be a chance to escape. 0

At present, they indeed shared a common point. 0

“Idiot, didn’t you notice they’re deliberately herding you in this direction? There’s an interception ahead; turn around and head towards the Ring Road,” Yang Xiaoyou said, rolling his eyes and gritting his teeth as he cursed after glancing at the rearview mirror and seeing the police cars in pursuit. 0

It was fine if they got caught, but he hoped not to be dragged down with them. 0

In Yang Xiaoyou's memory, he had always lived in a state of being hunted. His ability to counterattack was top-notch, and the tactics employed by the police were all too obvious. 0

These Radicals were indeed still too inexperienced. 0

“Uh, it seems to be true. Team Leader, what should we do?” The driver carefully checked the rearview mirror and seemed to finally realize something was wrong after Yang Xiaoyou's reminder. 0

“Turn around and head towards the Ring Road,” said the Fire-like Woman in the passenger seat without hesitation, decisively taking charge. 0

The taxi driver’s skills were quite impressive; with a sharp drift, he maneuvered around a truck and completed a U-turn onto the opposite lane, causing Yang Xiaoyou inside to break into a sweat. 0

At this speed, crashing would surely endanger their lives, but injuries would be inevitable. 0

Clearly, the police cars trailing behind did not expect their target to suddenly reverse direction and charge straight at them as if intending to take them down together. 0

Instinctively swerving, the two vehicles narrowly missed each other. After slowing down, the taxi crashed through the barrier and entered another lane beside them before speeding away. 0

“Idiot! Wrong way!” 0

“Fool! Quickly hide under that overpass; there’s a police helicopter!” 0

“Come on, let’s go now!” 0

"Now, what should we do?" The girl in the passenger seat, fiery like a flame, instinctively asked after they had completely shaken off their pursuers and entered the tunnel. 0

"There's nothing to be done. Just find a place to let me off," Yang Xiaoyou replied with a look of grievance, feeling somewhat annoyed. 0

These troublesome fellows really are prototypes for future Guerrillas, huh? Well, it’s true that most of the people among the Guerrillas have a normal identity hidden away, making them hard to catch as they come and go. But if these fellows are truly at that level, then it’s really quite pathetic. 0

Moreover, along the way, Yang Xiaoyou noticed that these fellows didn’t seem very old. The two burly men beside her looked to be no more than twenty. Perhaps they also needed time to grow. 0

"Ahem, sorry, I forgot about this matter. Once we’re out of the tunnel, we’ll let you go. Thanks for your help this time. By the way, I don’t know your name," the girl in the passenger seat said awkwardly after clearing her throat. 0

However, before she could finish, Yang Xiaoyou interrupted her with a refusal. "It doesn’t matter which ruling party is in power; it has nothing to do with me. We common folks just want a peaceful and stable life. I’m not interested in joining you, thanks." 0

Having finally shaken off the police officer behind them, Yang Xiaoyou was determined not to get involved with them. 0

Well, her performance this time was indeed extraordinary, but these rookies couldn’t possibly understand its true significance. With her appearance and the deceptive nature of her identity, she could only chalk it up to being clever. 0
