The one who had always wanted to capture him, Officer Lin, who had encountered a virus outbreak in Tokyo, unexpectedly appeared here as well. This left Yang Xiaoyou feeling quite surprised.
He never expected that he could escape from such an environment back then; he was indeed quite lucky. However, it seemed that the current situation he found himself in was not very promising.
Thinking about this, Yang Xiaoyou felt a mix of surprise and a sense of schadenfreude. It seemed that this guy would ultimately be brought down by his own personality.
At that moment, Yang Xiaoyou was applying makeup to his face. Although it created a false appearance, no one knew what he truly looked like. When he borrowed the car back then, he only managed to catch a glimpse of his reflection in the rearview mirror. It was even less likely for them to see his true face now.
He didn't expect this group of fellows to find their modified vehicle so quickly.
Because of this, he appeared quite calm when several people walked in. He pretended to be admiring the beautiful women around him, but deep down, he was already determined that they needed to find a new place to stay.
Just as he passed by them, he overheard a woman complaining about the Moscow Hotel. Upon hearing this, Yang Xiaoyou's heart stirred slightly, but his expression remained unchanged as he walked past them.
Although their main combatants seemed to be just that wild woman and the Black Bald Man, both gave Yang Xiaoyou an unsettling sense of crisis.
In his increasingly powerful state, there were few who could evoke such feelings in him. Moreover, judging by the weapons they had in their vehicle, even with just two people, the destruction they could cause would be quite terrifying.
With such fellows involved in this power shift, if he wasn't careful, it could lead to casualties on his side as well. If they became a nuisance, he would have to find an opportunity to deal with them before negotiations began.
However, Yang Xiaoyou couldn't directly assess their strength. He didn't want to make such choices unless absolutely necessary; after all, it would be unfortunate if things went awry.
In such a chaotic place, most people maintained a high level of vigilance. Of course, they were there to support the boss lady; what if they got used to her equipment and found it useless later?
Upon entering the room, the woman known as Revy flopped down onto the sofa and said, "It seems that lady must have taken notice of this place quite early on; otherwise, she wouldn't have contacted us so soon. Even if we don't help her out, she probably has other plans."
The burly Black Bald Man lit up a cigar casually and remarked without showing much concern for the situation.
"I don't care about the rest," said Benny, the somewhat disheartened blonde man. "But I can tell you that we need to establish good relations with some forces right now. Otherwise, given the current situation, we won't be able to remain neutral for long."
On the other side of the room, Lin Min sat quietly in a corner, seemingly uninterested in their conversation.
"Indeed," said the Black Bald Man. "In this situation, choosing to help Moscow Hotel establish good relations with them is quite a wise choice." He suddenly gestured towards Revy on the sofa with his eyes while speaking.
Revy, who seemed a bit grumpy, picked up a bottle and bit down on the pull tab, casually tossing it out the window.
"Damn it, that's too violent." Seeing the object fly out, Yang Xiaoyou rolled over and leaped onto the roof with a few agile movements, using the blade on her wrist to assist her.
Her actions were clean and swift, appearing quite natural.
Then she heard a rumbling sound from below.
Just by listening to their conversation, she momentarily spaced out but quickly became aware of her presence being detected. Yang Xiaoyou couldn't help but regard them with a bit more respect.
However, she had already gathered the information she needed. For now, she could set them aside; they would indeed be caught up in this turmoil, but from a standpoint, they could still be considered 'allies' for the time being.
Moreover, the information revealed in their dialogue clearly indicated that the Moscow Hotel was not willing to give up on the severely weakened group of Vietnamese so easily.
Next would be to see how each side played their cards. She had no idea when she started listening. With guns in hand, Revy quickly dashed out of the window, her legs hooking onto the window railing as she leaned out to scan the area. She felt somewhat frustrated upon returning to her position; she thought her reaction was quick enough, but it turned out the other party's response was even faster!
"What impressive stealth skills! If it weren't for the sea breeze stirring up the air currents just now, I wouldn't have noticed him at all. To remain undetected at such close range—was he specifically targeting us? That's quite troublesome," Duh scratched his bald head and said with a cigar clenched between his teeth, feeling a bit of a headache.
After so many years in this line of work, there were few who could put him under this kind of pressure. Although he suspected that the other party was merely passing through, it was evident that this was unlikely.
The main roads of Jinlan City were bustling with energy at night, with various individuals expressing their excess experiences.
Yet some streets and alleys outside the main road were notably quieter.
In this originally tranquil atmosphere, however, a heavy tension lingered.
"Oh, I truly apologize. Unless they hand over all their territory willingly, I won't budge. You should accept the reality of me taking their place. Of course, if you want to attempt a joint intervention, feel free to try. Perhaps I may not be your match in a united front, but taking down a few won't be an issue," said a scarred woman at a conference table in a single-story building as she exhaled a smoke ring, appearing relaxed and seemingly indifferent to the coalition's pressure.
Upon hearing her words, representatives from several factions wore grim expressions; they hadn't expected her to be so unyielding.
Yet they genuinely felt apprehensive about what she had said. This time around, acting as mediators wouldn't yield them too many benefits without risking their own interests.
In fact, if she simply held onto her small piece of land without any further conflict with others, it wouldn't significantly affect anyone else. If things escalated into an all-out fight, it wouldn't be worth it. Although she lacked strong foundations, her subordinates were fierce fighters one after another.
As others appeared somewhat hesitant, one of the frail Vietnamese spoke up urgently, "Everyone, you can't trust her! If she can treat me this way today, how can you be sure she won't do the same to you in the future?"
Just as he finished speaking, someone hurriedly entered the venue and whispered to one of the White Men. Upon hearing this, the White Man's expression changed, and he said in a low voice, "Sister Balachai, isn't it a bit too much to take action before negotiations are finalized?"
Everyone present showed clear signs of dissatisfaction upon hearing his words, and the frail Vietnamese grew even more anxious.
"Regardless, we will have to take action sooner or later. It's better to act early than late; it might help stabilize the situation more quickly. Don't you all agree?" The Scarred Woman seemed completely unfazed by the doubts raised.
Her blunt response left others feeling somewhat at a loss. In just a month, she had nearly uprooted a deeply entrenched power. This level of strength was uncomfortable for any opposing faction.
Given that things had already reached this point, abandoning the Vietnamese was inevitable. However, they needed to force her to make concessions and guarantee that she wouldn't attempt to swallow up or expand against other factions in the future. Otherwise, they would have to join forces and push her out.
Just as they were still trying to reach a consensus on this matter, another attendant burst into the conference room, appearing even more frantic than the first.
He leaned in close to another Asian Man and began to speak urgently. His voice was slightly too loud due to his anxiety, allowing those nearby to catch snippets of his words.
"President! An unknown force has launched a fierce attack on our headquarters! By the time I received the news, it was already too late to hold them off!"
Upon hearing this news, several representatives nearby immediately turned their attention with displeasure toward the Scarred Woman. The Scarred Woman herself was momentarily stunned by the revelation before she shrugged with a wry smile and said, "This really isn't my doing."
