The members of the Round Table Knight Mercenary Corps responded to Ying Sa's command without hesitation. They immediately opened their backpacks and retrieved four black discs, each about the size of an adult's palm. Then, they paired up into four groups and began to climb towards the four shooting holes. Despite the heavy loads they carried, they moved with agility, like monkeys in the jungle. 0

On the other side, members of the Blood Envoy Mercenary Corps were eager to show their skills. However, Lin Yi appeared noticeably sluggish, staring blankly around as if lost in thought. Ying Sa was curious about Lin Yi's silence; following his gaze, she noticed he was intently focused on one of the shooting holes, his brow furrowed. 0

"What's wrong?" Ying Sa asked, feeling a sense of pride as she saw her fastest team already climbing into the hole. Her tone was somewhat unfriendly. 0

"This place is filled with traps. Aren't you worried about rushing in?" Lin Yi had just emerged from inside and still felt uneasy about their methods. 0

"They are the best soldiers; a little difficulty won't stop them," Ying Sa replied dismissively, glancing at Lin Yi. In her view, those in the mercenary world shouldn't be so afraid of death. If they were scared, they might as well stay home and be good citizens. 0

Of course, Ying Sa kept her thoughts to herself and pulled out a pair of suction cups from her backpack, signaling for the other two to join her. Lin Yi was taken aback; it was his first time encountering such a decisive girl. 0

Ying Sa's movements were graceful as she pressed against the wall, resembling a black snow lotus growing on a cliff—beautiful yet proud. A faint smile appeared on Lin Yi's lips as he quickly gathered strength in his legs and shot down to the edge of the shooting hole like a fighter jet launched from a catapult. 0

At that moment, Lin Yi drew his Silver Soul from his back, slightly arching his waist. In an instant, before anyone could react, he transformed into a shadow and shot toward the metal panel above. Although the hall was three stories high, Lin Yi's jumping ability clearly exceeded that height. However, due to the angle of the shooting hole, he couldn't jump straight in but managed to land at its edge. Just as his momentum faded and he was about to fall, a flash of cold light appeared as Lin Yi plunged his blade into the steel panel beside him. Then, with a swift motion, he stabilized himself on the edge of the shooting hole and pulled out Silver Soul from where it had lodged. 0

The entire process seemed complex, yet Lin Yi completed it in less than five seconds. At that moment, Ying Sa had only climbed two-thirds of the way up when she heard gasps from below and looked up to see Lin Yi standing at another shooting hole with a strange smile directed at her. Without saying a word, Ying Sa quickened her pace and continued climbing like a petulant child. 0

The Blood Envoy Mercenary Corps had only recently formed and did not have suction cups prepared for climbing. Fortunately, there was some rope left in their vehicle. They tossed it directly to Lin Yi's position so everyone could climb up while leaving a few people behind in the hall just in case. 0

The second floor had a square layout, allowing Ying Sa's other members to gather quickly. However, after searching around for a while, they discovered that many rooms on this floor were empty. It was clear that their opponents had left in haste; there were plenty of ashes from burned papers scattered about. 0

"This must be one of their important strongholds. Let's search around; we might find something useful!" Lin Yi said. He had almost been caught off guard by their opponents but still hadn't figured out who they were. 0

Everyone nodded in agreement and began searching with their portable wolf-eye flashlights. The entire second floor lit up brilliantly, creating a dazzling scene. 0

About five minutes later, everyone had basically searched all the rooms. However, they only found a few pieces of unburned parchment; nothing else was discovered. The group gathered together, squatting on the ground to examine the few tattered sheets of paper. They could only make out a few letters spelling "Scarlet" and an image of an unidentified creature with wings. 0

Lin Yi and the others were not locals to Paris, so they were naturally unfamiliar with these forces. However, Ying Sa furrowed her brow and said uncertainly, "They should be the largest assassin organization in Western Europe, the Darknight Vampire!" She pointed at the half-damaged image of the winged creature to support her claim. 0

"These letters don't seem to mean that," someone muttered, and the others nodded in agreement, clearly accepting this viewpoint. 0

"Who says those letters must explain this image? They could be the names of other documents!" Ying Sa tilted her head defiantly. 0

At that moment, Bai suddenly reached out to take the sheets of paper and examined them closely. After a while, he said, "This should have contained an account book for their organization." He pointed at a circular emblem on one of the pieces of parchment, which featured a blurred human head shape at its center. The emblem was a faint gold color, similar to the hue of the parchment, which is why they had just overlooked it. 0

"How do you know?" Douglas asked skeptically. 0

Bai seemed to be answering Douglas's question but directed his gaze toward Lin Yi and Ying Sa. "The Mercenary group I was part of once took a mission to assist an underground boxing organization in taking over another criminal group's stronghold. At that time, I saw this emblem on a document they valued highly. Since we were partners, they told me that this emblem represented an account book. Of course, they didn't share anything more credible." 0

Upon hearing Bai's explanation, everyone finally understood. An account book was an essential item for any organization and it made sense that the people from Reiz Hotel would destroy it before leaving. 0

"Don't you find it strange? We’ve been guarding outside; how did they leave?" Lin Yi felt something was off as he entered and finally realized an easily overlooked question. 0

The others reacted differently to Lin Yi's statement. Among them, only Lin Yi had met the other party face-to-face, but no one knew how many people were actually inside. After Lin Yi's reminder, everyone began to notice the eerie atmosphere on the second floor. 0

Lin Yi closed his eyes and carefully sensed his surroundings; there should be a hidden passage here. However, he struggled to control his mental energy and after sensing for a while, his mind remained chaotic with nothing coming to light. On the other hand, Douglas, who excelled in mental energy perception, quickly noticed something unusual. He pointed to a corner of the room where they were gathered and said, "This place feels strange; there should be a passage here." 0

Everyone turned their flashlights toward the corner, but there was no sign of any gap in the floor; it didn’t look like there was a hidden passage at all. However, members of the Blood Envoy Mercenary Corps knew about Douglas's unique abilities and began knocking on that spot without hesitation. Unfortunately, since the floor was made of steel plates, even after lying down and knocking for some time, they heard nothing that they wanted to hear. 0

Lin Yi walked alone to the corner, signaling everyone to leave. Then, with a twist of his body, he turned around and plunged the "Silver Soul" directly into the ground. 0

With a sharp, grating sound, everyone watched as the "Silver Soul" sank deep into the floor until only the hilt remained visible. Lin Yi quickly pulled out the "Silver Soul," revealing a crack in the once-smooth surface. Before anyone could express their surprise, Lin Yi swiftly struck four times beside the crack. At that moment, a hole about three centimeters wide appeared in the ground. Lin Yi glanced at it and concluded, "There is indeed a hidden passage!" 0

Lin Yi's formidable strength confirmed Douglas's assessment: below was a smooth hidden passage wide enough for a person to enter. Since they had found the passage, there must be a switch to open it. After some searching in the room, they discovered a button on the inside of a bookshelf that opened the cover of the hidden passage, which resembled a slide leading into the unknown. 0

Seeing how the Blood Envoy Mercenary Corps members repeatedly solved problems, Ying Sa felt somewhat displeased and signaled one of her team members to scout ahead. Lin Yi wanted to warn Ying Sa about the dangers below but was met with a dismissive glance from her, so he decided to keep quiet. 0

The members of the Round Table Knight Mercenary followed Ying Sa's orders unconditionally. As soon as she gave the command, one relatively slender team member removed his backpack and strapped it to his front before jumping down without hesitation. 0

Just as Ying Sa was about to say something, a loud crash echoed from the hidden passage, interrupting her words. A wave of scorching air surged out from the entrance, knocking several nearby people to the ground. 0

Cries of pain and screams intertwined in the room. The sudden explosion left everyone stunned; many collapsed onto the floor with blank expressions. 0

Once the echoes of the explosion subsided, Lin Yi immediately stopped everyone from assisting the injured. Fortunately, since the underground passage was sloped, the force of the explosion had diminished significantly, preventing anyone from sustaining serious injuries. 0

Ying Sa quickly snapped out of her daze and rushed to the entrance of the passage to take a look. The once-gray interior was now stained with blood and littered with torn fabric and charred flesh. 0

"Darknight Vampire, I will make you regret what you've done today!" A fierce killing intent surged from Ying Sa as she exuded an air of relentless determination. 0
