Lin Yi was uncertain about what would happen next, so he decided to focus on the task at hand. Although he found it hard to accept the fall of Rome, since Augustus had personally confirmed it, there was no reason to doubt. As a city with strong symbolic significance, the fall of Rome would undoubtedly be a heavy blow to many. Now, Lin Yi had to consider where they should go next. 0

"Great Bishop, where are we headed now?" Lin Yi asked. Given the large-scale Zombie attack, even the Greater Paris Defense Zone would likely be suffering. 0

Augustus moved his lips slightly and replied, "Moscow!" 0

Lin Yi frowned. He actually preferred to return to the Greater Paris Defense Zone, as his seven hundred Mercenaries were still there, and it could be considered half of his Base Camp. 0

"This time, the entire Apennine Peninsula has almost completely collapsed. In Western Europe, only the Greater Paris Defense Zone and Berlin Defense Zone remain. The London Defense Zone is too busy dealing with its own issues, and the military forces in Nordic and Southern Europe are practically negligible under this sudden Zombie attack. Currently, Moscow is in the best situation; it is vast and sparsely populated, and due to its harsh climate conditions, there has not been a large-scale spread of the Zombie Virus. Not long ago, Mr. Aibolon informed me that the Global Security Conference is implementing a 'Europe Advance' plan, launching troops from Moscow to eliminate Zombies!" Augustus seemed to notice Lin Yi's expression and explained again. It was essential not to lose momentum before heading into battle. 0

Lin Yi forced a smile and was about to ask a few more questions when he noticed an elderly man wearing gold-rimmed glasses appearing behind Augustus, supported by Charlie. Lin Yi squinted; he felt that this person looked familiar but couldn't quite place him. 0

"Mr. Aibolon, thank you for your assistance," Augustus said as he stepped aside to make way. 0

The elderly man known as Aibolon nodded with a smile and said, "Archbishop, you are too kind. This decision was made by all member states of the Global Security Conference. Besides, you have been at the forefront of resisting Zombies; we cannot do anything that would undermine the efforts of our heroes." 0

"Regardless, I am also part of humanity. Resisting the invasion of demons is naturally my duty," Augustus replied humbly. The main reason for his low demeanor was his sense of responsibility following Rome's fall. Under normal circumstances, he might not have paid much attention to a leader from another country. Even considering Aibolon's current status, Augustus had no need to lower himself so much. 0

"Archbishop, you are too modest. We still have some time before we reach our destination; please take a moment to rest," Aibolon kindly suggested upon seeing Augustus's weary expression. 0

Augustus bid farewell and left with several young people. Aibolon then descended from upstairs, accompanied by a middle-aged man. 0

"Mr. Lin, I must thank you for saving my son," Aibolon said as he pulled Charlie closer and slightly bowed. 0

Lin Yi was taken aback; he never expected Charlie to be Aibolon's son. However, what Lin Yi did not know was that Aibolon had only one son and cherished him greatly. 0

"You are too kind; I should thank you for saving us," Lin Yi replied. Although he still couldn't recall Aibolon's exact identity, it was clear that someone with access to this layer fortress held significant status. 0

"Boss Lin, don't thank the old man too much; he just happened to be on his way to rescue the Bishop and came over when he learned I was nearby. Otherwise, he would have surely abandoned his own son's life for his reputation!" Charlie said bluntly, revealing Aibolon's "true intentions." 0

"Cough cough—" Aibolon was evidently irritated by his son's bluntness; a hint of an unusual flush appeared on his previously pale face. 0

Seeing his father suddenly cough, Charlie became alarmed and quickly patted Aibolon's back to help him catch his breath. 0

Lin Yi stood awkwardly to the side, unsure of how to strike up a conversation. After all, this was someone else's territory, and he couldn't just act casually like Charlie. 0

At that moment, Pachy approached Lin Yi and whispered, "The Sea Maiden isn't doing well. Should we request some help?" 0

Lin Yi glanced back at his teammates; most of them were standing behind him, clearly indicating that they weren't planning to rest either. 0

"Oh? Are there injured?" Aibolon, despite his age, had sharp hearing and immediately instructed a middle-aged man beside him, "Atai, go check it out!" 0

Seeing this intimidating man heading toward the Sea Maiden for treatment, Lin Yi stepped forward and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, but the patient is a young lady. It might not be appropriate for you to attend to her." 0

Just as Lin Yi moved, an overwhelming aura emanated from Atai. This force was intangible, more akin to Lin Yi's Psychic Power; it posed no harm to ordinary people. Only someone like Lin Yi, who projected his Psychic Power outward, would feel the impact of this invisible force. 0

"You..." Lin Yi suppressed his discomfort and looked up at Atai, his face filled with anger. He felt as if countless needles were piercing his head. 0

Atai ignored Lin Yi and turned his gaze toward Nicolas and the others, his expression darkening as he asked, "Vampires?" 0

Lin Yi's heart sank. For most people, vampires were merely a myth. However, some individuals knew of their existence. It seemed that Atai harbored a strong animosity toward vampires and could even detect their presence. Vampires typically appeared indistinguishable from humans in normal circumstances. Given the current situation, Lin Yi could not afford to admit that there were vampires in his team. 0

"Ridiculous!" Just as Lin Yi prepared to deny it, a cold voice rang out from behind him—it was Renesmee. 0

"Hmph! You all carry such dense waves of dark energy and still dare to deny it! I will show everyone your ugly side today!" 0

As Lin Yi saw Atai's expression turn menacing, he instinctively concentrated his Psychic Power. In that moment, a powerful wave of energy surged forth like a tidal wave, creating ripples in the air. This force was invisible to most people; however, Lin Yi sensed it and felt its intense hostility. 0

Almost as soon as this power gathered, Lin Yi's Psychic Power surged forward like a tsunami. 0

Zzzz—When the two forces collided, a burnt smell filled the air. The clash caused a violent reaction with the oxygen around them, even producing sparks of light. Yet both individuals restrained themselves from unleashing their powers recklessly into the surroundings. They were locked in a fierce struggle against each other. 0

At that moment, Lin Yi felt as if a volcano was about to erupt in his mind; he was on the verge of losing control. However, he dared not let his guard down for even a moment—he feared that one misstep could lead him to defeat. As he noticed his Psychic Power diminishing at an alarming rate within his mind, he decided not to hold back any longer. With a cold snort, the air suddenly erupted with a loud bang. In the next instant, Atai's previously imposing demeanor faltered; he even took a step back with his right foot and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. 0

"Such powerful Psychic Power!" Aibolon clapped his hands in admiration. 0

"He's even stronger than Atai!" Charlie exclaimed in surprise as he stared wide-eyed at the scene unfolding before him. 0

"Wherever, wherever, everyone has their strengths," Lin Yi said with a bitter smile, suppressing a strong wave of dizziness. He had witnessed Atai's speed and knew that even at his full strength, it would be difficult to defend against him. However, in terms of Psychic Power, Lin Yi seemed to be significantly stronger than others of the same level. Although Atai might surpass Lin Yi in combat power, his Psychic Power was still slightly inferior. 0

"We'll go again!" Atai clearly refused to back down, his eyes filled with fighting spirit. 0

"Atai, let everyone take a break; the tough battles are still ahead!" Aibolon, who had appeared amiable before, suddenly frowned and scolded Atai. That quiet reprimand transformed Atai from a fierce Polar Bear into a docile sheep. 0

After Aibolon and his companions exchanged some words with Lin Yi, they led Charlie and the others back to the top layer of the Thermo-Stable Fortress. 0

Once they left, Pachy, who had been silently following Lin Yi, finally spoke up. "I didn't expect the rotating Chairman of this year's Global Security Conference to be Aibolon!" 0

Upon hearing Pachy's words, Lin Yi finally remembered who Aibolon was. However, the most important thing now was to rest. Lin Yi found a spot and sat cross-legged. The Super Stratospheric Fortress was fast; it would likely reach Moscow in just a few dozen minutes. 0

... 0

After an unknown amount of time, the Super Stratofortress finally landed. As Lin Yi and the others disembarked from the plane, they found the entire airport brightly lit, with fighter jets taking off into the sky. It turned out to be a Military Airport! 0

"They're participating in the Red Square Military Parade and will head directly to the front lines for artillery coverage on Zombie hotspots!" Aibolon seemed to know the situation best and explained it to everyone as soon as they arrived. 0

History seemed to be repeating itself; in this place, in this Fighting Nation, at a time of life and death, they were determined to overcome their enemies at all costs. There was no despair here—only an unwavering resolve to fight to the end. 0
