If Lin Yi had any lingering hope for Paul at the beginning, now Paul must be utterly destroyed!
As Zhao Pei said, in the eyes of these Zombies, humans are merely food, an important source for enhancing their strength. Although Paul still retained some intelligence, it was clear that he had gone mad.
Paul's mouth was still smacking as he licked the blood that flowed from him, his face filled with a look of enjoyment. Suddenly, a twisted expression appeared on his once ferocious face!

In an instant, a bizarre scene unfolded; the arm that Lin Yi had severed with a single blow suddenly grew back in an instant, covered in a mixture of black and yellow fluids, emitting a foul stench.
Regeneration! This half-Corpseified Zombie actually possessed such an ability! Lin Yi had seen it before, but this was the first time he witnessed it under such circumstances!
Without hesitation, Lin Yi disregarded his dwindling stamina and swung his blade wildly. The dazzling Blade Qi surged toward Paul with overwhelming force, but Paul's mutated arms reacted too quickly. With Paul nearing his end, he showed no concern for the lives of his followers. He grabbed one terrified soldier and tossed him into his mouth to devour him.
Lin Yi's previous full-force strike had only severed one of Paul's legs! Yet now Paul casually grabbed and consumed another soldier.
At that moment, Lin Yi gritted his teeth and charged directly towards Paul. However, Paul, aided by his tentacles, moved even faster. Just as Lin Yi reached him, Paul had already bounced away!
"Get back quickly! Otherwise, you'll only end up being eaten!" What infuriated Lin Yi even more was that the soldiers still seemed hostile towards him and hadn’t retreated! Although Lin Yi knew that these soldiers would face a grim fate if they left, it was still better than being devoured alive!
"Kill him!" Suddenly, someone shouted. Lin Yi nodded; at least this group was still on his side.
With a loud bang, Lin Yi suddenly felt a sharp pain in his face.
"Bullet attack, requesting counterattack!" The intelligent voice system suddenly shouted, and Lin Yi realized he had just been shot!
If it weren't for Lin Yi being in combat mode and fully on high alert, that bullet could have easily taken his life.
"What are you doing?!" Lin Yi yelled at the soldier who had fired the shot, completely baffled by their intentions.
"You destroyed everything we had; we will never let you go!" With that, the soldier raised his gun and began shooting.
Already prepared, Lin Yi wouldn’t get hit again. But in the next moment, he was stunned. In an instant, at least a hundred bullets were flying towards him; dodging with just his body wouldn’t be enough to evade this barrage!
Lin Yi didn’t want to die at the hands of these soldiers, especially not from bullets that couldn’t harm him anymore. However, once the number of bullets reached a certain point, he couldn’t guarantee he could withstand them!
Clang clang clang—A series of striking sounds erupted like the simplest melody with only a few basic rhythms.
Lin Yi’s figure danced like the wind as he wielded his Silver Soul so swiftly that the blade was nearly invisible. This continued for five seconds; during those five seconds, Lin Yi managed to dodge at least a thousand bullets! It wasn’t until all the bullets from the handguns of those hundred soldiers were exhausted that he finally stopped. However, his surroundings were littered with golden Bullet Heads!
"Hahaha! Kill him! I promise you will be the greatest heroes of the divine race!" At this moment, Paul had completely embraced his role as a Zombie. If such a Zombie were to rule the world as part of the divine race, wouldn’t even God feel uneasy?
"He is a demon; don’t believe him!" Not everyone agreed with Paul. Just as his words fell, someone in the crowd shouted loudly.
Lin Yi squinted and turned his gaze in the direction of the sound, only to find that it was Slo! He had forgotten that Slo had already told him he was part of the Iron Wolf Brigade.
"We can't ally with Zombies!" As one person shouted, more voices joined in. After living as humans for decades, who would willingly become a Half-Human, Half-Undead monster?
The uproar grew louder, and those who had once supported Paul now wore expressions of anger. However, their only weapon was out of bullets, and they lacked the courage to fight these people barehanded, especially since they still had guns loaded with ammunition.
"Damn it! I knew you were two-faced!" With Slo leading the charge, Paul found himself in a predicament, directing his ire straight at Slo.
"Roar—" Now that his legs had healed, Paul kicked off the ground and charged at Slo. He wanted to devour Slo, to eliminate him completely, thus relieving his pent-up resentment!
At this moment, there were only a little over a hundred people directly supporting Paul, while only a few hundred opposed him; most were still watching from the sidelines.
Lin Yi could not allow Paul to kill Slo; otherwise, even more people would side with Paul!
"Slo won't die even if you do!" As Lin Yi uttered these words, any previous dissatisfaction towards him vanished into thin air.
At this moment, Lin Yi gritted his teeth and channeled all his strength into his arm. This Blade Qi was meant to unleash his most powerful force!
A crimson Blade Qi that seemed capable of slicing through space was unleashed by Lin Yi, shooting toward Paul at an incredible speed.
Paul suddenly felt a tingling sensation on his scalp as a searing energy rapidly approached! He was only two meters away from Slo, but the light of death was already upon him!

With both arms incapacitated by Lin Yi's attack, Paul now felt a surge of panic. He needed to consume another person. Yes, those soldiers he had once lived alongside were now his means of survival. Was there anything wrong with that? Nothing at all; people should be selfish like that. However, Paul forgot that he was no longer human.
Lin Yi saw that his strike had succeeded, but the energy within him had also been greatly depleted.
At that moment, the remaining arm of Paul wrapped around Slo. If he could consume him, not only would he avenge himself, but he would also regain his tentacles!

This impact sent Paul's tentacle flying to the side, and Slo barely managed to dodge this disaster. Immediately, Slo rolled away from the demon as far as possible.

Losing his most potent means of attack sent Paul into a rage. He turned and lunged at Lin Yi. As Lin Yi raised his blade again, he suddenly felt a tearing pain in his chest and found himself unable to muster any strength.
"Get down!" At that moment, a figure leaped onto Paul's massive chest. A tremendous explosion erupted, and as Lin Yi crouched down, he realized that the figure was none other than Slo, who had just left.
