In an instant, Lin Yi sliced through one of the opponent's long spears, but another spear brutally struck his throat.
"Hehehehe—" Lin Yi let out a hoarse roar, and then propelled himself backward using the force of the spear lodged in his throat.
The other weaponless Zombie was caught off guard and was sent flying by Lin Yi's charge! In that moment, Lin Yi created distance between himself and the two Zombies.
However, this was the perfect time to attack, as the two Zombies had momentarily separated. Utilizing the reverse thrust of the War God Suit, Lin Yi swiftly retreated to the side of the Zombie that had lost its weapon.
"Roar—" The Zombie could hardly believe that Lin Yi had managed to dash back and forth in the blink of an eye.
As the Zombie raised its weapon to prepare for an attack, it suddenly realized that its spear had been cleaved in two. At that moment, something rapidly magnified in its grayish-white eyes!
"Bang—" Before this unfortunate Zombie could react, it felt a heavy blow to its head.
In that split second, Lin Yi didn't even have time to swing his knife; he used his fist to smash down on most of the Zombie's skull, causing it to cave in and reveal a mix of black and white brain matter inside!
Seizing the opportunity, Lin Yi's movements did not pause for a moment as he swung his knife with his left hand toward the Zombie's neck!
Suddenly, a golden object shot forward and directly blocked Lin Yi's blade. Although surprised by the speed of this golden object, Lin Yi did not hesitate; he exerted force in his arm and struck fiercely at his original target!
"Swish—"
A sharp metallic clash echoed. The golden object was sliced in half! Lin Yi felt an increase in momentum with his blade and, accompanied by a piercing scream, successfully struck the neck of the nearby Zombie.
Immediately, the head of the Zombie, wearing an expression of disbelief, fell to the ground and rolled among its fellow Zombies.
"Kill my brother! Roar—" With the death of one Zombie, another suddenly seemed to be stimulated, its body rising abruptly before it charged toward Lin Yi!
Seeing the aggressive stance of the approaching Zombie, Lin Yi had no intention of adhering to any notions of fair combat. He swiftly raised his long knife and thrust it forward.
At that moment, the seemingly irrational Zombie appeared to regain some awareness. It abruptly halted its advance and, with a powerful push from its legs, leaped backward into the crowd of Zombies.
Lin Yi would not let it escape easily. He activated the War God Suit for acceleration and rushed after it! However, this Zombie was not only fast but also remarkably agile, quickly darting into the mass of Zombies and disappearing from sight.
"Ha—" Lin Yi exhaled deeply. In that fleeting moment, he was acutely aware of how tense his nerves had been. The two swift Zombies working together were practically his nemesis. Although he was confident he could hold his ground in the short term, he truly did not know what unforeseen circumstances might arise from prolonged engagement.
At this point, the entire battlefield had fallen into a state of stalemate. Lin Yi could not simply unleash a Blade Qi to wipe out large numbers of Zombies; he had to cut them down one by one.
With the threat of High-Level Zombies eliminated, Lin Yi moved through the horde of Zombies as if strolling through a garden, feeling no pressure at all. The Zombies barely had time to pounce before they were sliced in half!
The Single Crystal Combat Blade in Lin Yi's hand was incredibly sharp; even diamonds could be effortlessly cleaved in two with a single strike, let alone the flesh-and-blood bodies of Zombies!

In the next instant, in the blink of an eye, severed heads appeared within his line of sight, each bearing faces he recognized!

Lin Yi felt tears blurring his vision as he saw faces of those he had spent every day with. Yet at this moment, they all lay with their eyes closed, dark red blood seeping from the corners of their eyes, their severed heads floating in mid-air!
"No—" Lin Yi let out a long howl, his voice mournful, as if it came from the depths of hell, a desperate scream of agony.
Then, Lin Yi drew the Silver Soul Battle Blade from his back. In the next moment, he flipped his wrist and swung the blade, which had already slain countless Zombies, directly toward his own neck!
The Silver Soul Battle Blade gleamed with a dazzling cold light, reaching Lin Yi's neck in an instant! But at that moment, a strange scene unfolded; Lin Yi's arm suddenly stopped, unable to move forward even a fraction!
"Sir, wake up! This is an illusion!" At that moment, Black took complete control of the War God Suit, firmly restraining Lin Yi's next movement!
"Illusion?" Lin Yi's eyes were dazed, as if he had just awakened from a nightmare.
"Yes, sir, this is an illusion created by that Nine-Star Level Zombie's Bestow Unique Ability! Everything you just saw was an illusion, and there is also a mental attack here that makes you believe what you see is real!"

At this moment, Lin Yi looked around and realized he was still seeing the hellish apocalyptic scene; he was still trapped in the illusion.
"Who lives and who dies is yet to be determined!" A fierce glint flashed in Lin Yi's eyes. He knew he was no match for the Nine-Star Level Zombie, but he had been preparing for this moment; how could he possibly be without any means?
At that moment, a brainwave transmitted directly to the War God Suit. Black immediately accepted Lin Yi's command, and the entire system began to operate silently.
"My illusions are beyond your reach. Do you really think you have a chance to escape?" The Nine-Star Zombie, known for its Psychic Power, pulled Lin Yi into its mental realm, where it reigned as a god.
"What a pity. It's rare to encounter such a powerful Zombie with Psychic Power, yet it's about to die. Truly unfortunate," Lin Yi said, feigning ease as he shook his head with a sympathetic expression. Despite the Zombie being at the Nine-Star Level, he couldn't suppress the anger bubbling within him.
"Hahaha! You insignificant ants have brought forth a hero, and today I shall kill you. You are nothing but a pitiful creature now, daring to be arrogant before me!
Oh—no, I can't kill you just yet. If you die, your little ants will be heartbroken. I will turn you into one of our divine kin; then those ants will willingly become our slaves. Hahahahaha!"
The Zombie laughed arrogantly, completely ignoring Lin Yi's sympathetic gaze. Suddenly, it seemed to sense something, its body becoming agitated like a startled rooster, moving without any wind.
"Damn it!" the Zombie exclaimed suddenly before launching itself toward Lin Yi at an incredible speed.
Lin Yi was taken aback; he hadn't expected such swiftness. He hurriedly prepared to exert himself to escape, but then he realized he couldn't move at all!
"Oh no! I've been caught in its Psychic Power!" Lin Yi felt the invisible force surrounding him and shuddered; it was only when death loomed that he understood the gravity of his situation.
"Whoosh—" The War God Suit emitted blue flames in an attempt to push Lin Yi away, but it had no effect whatsoever.
Suddenly, a crimson beam of light shot down from the sky toward Lin Yi!
