“Boom—”
Suddenly, a thunderous roar echoed outside, followed by a torrential downpour that seemed to pour down from the sky like a waterfall, crashing violently to the ground with the force to create deep pits in the earth.
The frenzied rain transformed the outside world into a misty haze, visibility reduced to less than a meter in any direction.
“Ying Sa, don’t be like this. It’s all my fault, but right now saving lives is what matters, isn’t it?” Lin Yi pulled Ying Sa closer, trying his best to calm his emotions. He didn’t know when that golden energy would explode, nor did he know if Reck's space could isolate the other party's control over that energy to prevent a self-detonation.
No matter what, Lin Yi had to seize every moment to completely eliminate the hidden dangers within Li Qiweng’s body. And right now, the only one capable of doing that was Ying Sa.
“You’re so annoying; you hurt me!” Ying Sa suddenly glared with anger, her slender arm swinging fiercely as she broke free from Lin Yi’s grasp.
“Ying Sa, this isn’t the time for temper tantrums!” Lin Yi raised his voice, glaring at Ying Sa with frustration.
“So what if I’m throwing a tantrum? I wish she would just die right now! Why should I save her? After saving her, you’ll just go back to her side. What about me? Are you going to toss me aside?”
“I’m not that noble. I, Ying Sa, have never liked being humble. I’ve always loved you and have been by your side, even when the whole world thought you were a Zombie. I chose to believe in you!”
“But in the end, you can’t let go of her, can you? Fine, then I’ll help you make up your mind. Let her die; once she’s gone, you won’t have any chances left—never!”
Ying Sa looked at Lin Yi, nearly shouting as she vented her emotions. For all these years since she first laid eyes on this man, she had followed him and ultimately regarded him as her everything. But now she was about to lose him; nothing she had done could compare to that woman named Li Qiweng!
How could Ying Sa not be furious? How could she bring herself to save someone who was vying for the love of her life? She couldn’t do it. She wasn’t a saint. She was someone who needed love too!
“That’s enough, Ying Sa! Do you really think this will change anything?” Lin Yi’s mind was consumed with thoughts of Li Qiweng at that moment; he had lost his last shred of reason. His scarlet eyes pointed accusingly at Ying Sa, his tone resolute.
"Slap—"
At that moment, Ying Sa's fragile body seemed unable to contain her emotions any longer, and she delivered a sharp slap across Lin Yi's face.
Caught off guard, Lin Yi stumbled back, nearly falling to the ground.
"If you can't change anything, then just get lost! Get as far away as you can!"
Lin Yi's mouth twitched in disbelief; he never expected this usually obedient woman would slap him.
However, Lin Yi would never retaliate. He glared at Ying Sa for a moment, then turned on his heel and walked out the door.

As Lin Yi stepped outside, the pouring rain drenched him instantly, soaking him to the bone.
It was still January, and Paris was experiencing an unusually heavy downpour. Such extreme weather was unheard of during this time of year.
The cold rain enveloped Lin Yi completely, and as his heated thoughts began to cool down, he realized he had truly hurt Ying Sa's feelings.
His feelings for Li Qiweng were too obvious; even if Ying Sa tried to pretend she knew nothing, it was impossible. Now she had finally exploded, and Lin Yi, who had been so concerned about Li Qiweng's safety, had failed to control his emotions, treating Ying Sa with such disdain that it only added fuel to the fire.
In that moment, Lin Yi finally understood what a foolish thing he had done. But now, asking for Ying Sa's forgiveness was out of the question; no matter how much she cared for him, she would not forgive his actions at this moment.
Lin Yi looked back at Ying Sa inside the room. She was sitting in a recliner, tears streaming down her face without a sound. She quietly shed her tears as if the world around her no longer mattered.
Looking at the seemingly soulless Ying Sa, Lin Yi realized just how much he had wronged her. Regret was futile now; there was no true way back in this world.
"Bang—" Lin Yi knelt on the ground, letting the rain pour down on him. He didn't know what to do; he only wanted to express his apology.
"I'm sorry, Ying Sa!"

Lin Yi's actions quickly drew the attention of many onlookers, but no one dared to approach. It felt as if the space around Lin Yi and Ying Sa belonged solely to them, impenetrable by anyone else.
This was a matter between two people. No matter how well outsiders understood the situation, only they could untangle their hearts.
The heavy rain continued to pour from the sky, and Lin Yi even lost track of how long he had been kneeling. His face had turned pale from the relentless downpour, and his eardrums were buzzing from the booming sound of the rain. He did not use any energy to protect himself; he was in a state of an ordinary person.
The rain kept falling until Lin Yi suddenly felt a blur before his eyes, and the rain above him ceased. He lifted his head, feeling as if his neck had stiffened to the point of being difficult to raise.
However, with that movement, a surge of energy coursed through his body, and the discomfort vanished without a trace.
"Let's go; Sister Li is still in danger!"
A cool voice echoed in Lin Yi's ear, sounding as if it came from a distant iceberg—clear yet lacking much human warmth.
"Ying Sa, I've made up my mind. Once we save Wen, I'll tell her everything! Then you and I, along with our unborn child, will leave together and find a quiet place to live our lives!"
Lin Yi slowly got up, but his head remained bowed even lower than when he was kneeling. His voice came out weak, almost as if he were mumbling to himself.
Ying Sa's delicate body trembled slightly, but she said nothing and simply held her umbrella as she walked toward the secret chamber. Lin Yi followed her with a complicated expression; no matter how he looked at it, he was now a sinner.
When Lin Yi reached the secret chamber, Reck pulled him and Ying Sa into his space. At that moment, Li Qiweng was floating in mid-air with her eyes tightly closed, appearing as if she were asleep.
"When she sleeps, that golden energy becomes even quieter," Reck said. He understood the entire situation but chose not to mention what had just happened.
"Ying Sa..."
Lin Yi looked at Ying Sa with difficulty. His gaze was no longer as relaxed as it used to be; instead, it was filled with tension and panic.
Ying Sa ignored Lin Yi. With her eyes closed, an invisible force emanated from her body, enveloping Li Qiweng entirely.
As Ying Sa's expression changed, golden specks of light began to float around Li Qiweng. These golden lights increased in number over time. Meanwhile, Ying Sa's face grew paler, clearly indicating that the golden energy surrounding Li Qiweng was more abundant. Even though Ying Sa could remove it, it was exceptionally taxing for her.
Both Reck and Lin Yi remained silent; at this moment, all they could do was create a quiet illusion for Ying Sa.
This continued for over an hour until the tips of Ying Sa's hair began to turn white. Suddenly, she let out a soft exhale, and the golden lights that had nearly covered Li Qiweng were gathered into her hands before dissipating into wisps of smoke.
Previously, Ying Sa could only observe and influence this power; this was the first time she truly attempted to eliminate it.
As the last wisp of smoke vanished, Ying Sa collapsed forward. Fortunately, Lin Yi reacted quickly and caught her. However, Ying Sa's eyes remained tightly shut; she had fallen into a state of unconsciousness.
Seeing this, Reck sighed softly and then released his space. The three of them returned to the secret chamber. At this point, Li Qiweng had not yet awakened. Lin Yi held one in each arm and laid them both on separate beds. Perhaps only in such circumstances could they lie together so peacefully!
Suddenly, Lin Yi felt a powerful surge of life energy erupting from Li Qiweng. Soon, a dense green light enveloped Li Qiweng!
In just a moment, the energy that had completely dissipated from Li Qiweng began to surge back!

Before long, it reached Seven Star Level and continued to climb higher! Lin Yi looked at Reck, who was just about to leave, with confusion in his eyes. However, Reck shook his head, clearly just as puzzled by the situation.
When Li Qiweng's power reached Ten Star Level, the glass in the secret chamber shattered under the force of her aura! Fearing any unforeseen circumstances, Lin Yi quickly brought Li Qiweng into his Absolute Space!
Just as Lin Yi brought Li Qiweng into his space, her power broke through to the peak of Ten Star Level, and her growth showed no signs of stopping!
When Li Qiweng's ascent finally ceased, her strength had returned to its peak, even surpassing her previous limits.
A series of soft whimpers echoed as Li Qiweng blinked her eyes lightly, resembling a newborn child curiously examining the man before her.
