The battle did not last long, but it was enough for Lin Yi to believe that no matter how powerful the Zombies were, victory would ultimately belong to them. With people willing to sacrifice their lives for justice, even the strongest enemies would face annihilation.
Thanks to the assistance of previous captives, the entire Moscow City was cleared of Zombies in just a short time. As for the human traitors hiding among the Zombies, they were swiftly dealt with by these enraged individuals. Although the scene was somewhat brutal, Lin Yi chose to pretend he did not see it. Surely, no one would come to him complaining about humanitarianism at such a moment!
In just over a month, most of Europe had been reclaimed by Lin Yi's Blood Envoy Mercenary Corps. Such an achievement was beyond even Lin Yi's expectations. At this time, the Zombie Army had once again adopted a strategy of retreat. The remaining Zombies on the European continent had hidden themselves away, making it difficult to discover their hiding places.
On the other hand, the Resistance had fared much better than Lin Yi's side; they had already advanced into Cape Town. If they could conquer the last stronghold of the Zombies, the African continent would surely return to humanity! The reason for this was clear: Ying Sa led the Judgment Bureau Steward, arguably the most powerful human force in the world. Under their exceptional teamwork, the Zombies faced almost no resistance and were pushed back to their final stronghold.
However, Lin Yi was somewhat surprised to receive intelligence that Will, who had been in Paris, had been reassigned to Africa, almost certainly near Ying Sa. Lin Yi felt a sense of unease but knew he could only accept it if it was indeed Ying Sa's decision.
The European continent had basically been fully reclaimed, leaving only the British Isles. This area was originally the headquarters of the Mercenary Alliance but had long since become a paradise for Zombies due to Dracula's presence. When the Second Zombie Crisis erupted, the British Isles were almost entirely occupied within moments. The traitors within the Mercenary Alliance had already set up their plans, and most of their Armed Forces were under their control. Additionally, there were high-level traitors within the British government assisting them, making this a crucial stronghold for the Zombies.
On the third day after Moscow fell, Lin Yi led his elite forces to parachute into the British Isles! However, upon arriving there, he encountered an unexpected enemy: Deman, who had previously escaped! Now he was in charge of defending the British Isles and had allowed Lin Yi to conquer other parts of Europe while focusing solely on managing this last stronghold.
To Lin Yi's surprise, this fortress still possessed advanced human weaponry. As they arrived above England, they triggered its air defense system. A piercing alarm instantly echoed throughout the area. At that moment, Lin Yi sensed a familiar energy!
"Retreat!"
At that instant when that power surged forth, Lin Yi softly commanded, and everyone vanished without a trace. When they reappeared, they were already several miles away from those deadly beams of crimson light!
"They're using laser weapons now; it seems their forces are running low!" Wang Bo remarked with a hint of disdain as he observed the scene from afar. The Zombies had always valued individual strength and rarely used human weapons. Of course, after controlling some of those highly destructive Base Laser Cannons, they would still bring them out for use.
"This is good news; however, there are still several Base Laser Cannons in the sky. Who will go destroy them?" Lin Yi sensed that outside of their atmosphere were several massive Laser Cannon platforms. While these cannons posed little threat to him personally, they could be deadly to others; one careless moment could lead to someone being shot down.
"I'll go!" Elisa volunteered after returning from Antarctica and continuing to fight alongside Lin Yi. At this point, her strength had also broken through to peak Ten Star Level and could be considered top-tier combat power.
"Alright, Elisa; be careful!" Lin Yi nodded in agreement. He understood that Elisa was different from Ying Sa; she viewed romantic relationships much more lightly than Ying Sa did. Perhaps she did have feelings for him, but when she realized how difficult it would be to act on them, she would rationally restrain herself until she completely forgot! This was also why Lin Yi dared to keep Elisa by his side—she was an absolutely rational woman.
"Captain Lin, I'm not weak either! Are you really going to let such a delicate girl like Elisa take on such a dangerous mission?" Wang Bo interjected from the side with an expression of defiance.
Lin Yi looked at Wang Bo and chuckled, "Alright, you two be careful, don't let things get out of hand!"
The two nodded in agreement and then vanished from sight. Their combat power had surpassed the Star Level, placing them beyond the realm of humanity. They could freely enter Outer Space without any protective gear; they themselves were the most powerful armor!
In less than a minute, several dazzling flames suddenly erupted in the sky, illuminating the entire area. The blazing fire was so intense that it could be seen clearly even from thousands of miles away.
However, Lin Yi was not idle; he was monitoring every movement on the island. He knew well the power of Deman. Every time this guy appeared, it left a profound impact. Of course, as a First Generation Zombie, his status was extraordinary.
When the two descended, everyone blurred once more and reappeared above London. At that moment, the laser defenses activated again and shot directly towards them.
The air around Lin Yi surged with energy waves as he unleashed a torrent of powerful energy. The laser beams changed direction upon encountering this energy and flew off into the sky.
"It seems your strength has improved!" Deman's figure suddenly appeared before everyone, surrounded by ten stiff-faced Zombies. Lin Yi was momentarily taken aback but quickly sensed that while these Super Tier Zombies exuded an extraordinary aura, their powers felt unstable, likely due to being forcibly enhanced. Although Lin Yi's side had fewer super-tier fighters, he was confident that they could take on three opponents each!
"To take your life, I will naturally fight with all my might!" Lin Yi's aura was unwavering. Although he had not yet reached Deman's level as a First Generation Zombie, his ability to merge energies gave him confidence that he could defeat him.
"Arrogant!"
Deman snorted coldly, and the air around them rippled as a spatial field enveloped everyone—Deman's domain! However, this domain was different from before; amidst the flames swirled dark mist that resembled ancient ice crystals, emanating a chilling aura within the raging fire.
Lin Yi felt a sense of foreboding and quickly alerted those around him; they were his strongest allies and could not afford any losses!
Everyone swiftly formed a Defensive Formation while Lin Yi faced Deman directly. He recognized that Deman posed the real threat. At that moment, Lin Yi regretted his earlier carelessness; although he believed he could break through Deman's spatial barrier, it would take time!
"Deman, die!"
At this moment, swift resolution was the best strategy! Lin Yi focused on Deman's figure and blurred into position right in front of him. He didn't even bother to form a blade; instead, he threw a punch straight at Deman's head!
"Whoosh—" A shadow flashed past as Lin Yi's punch missed its target. However, his reflexes were quick; he twisted his body at an incredible angle just in time to evade the knife that Deman had thrust from behind him.
In that instant, Lin Yi no longer held back. A long blade formed from the convergence of six types of energy materialized in his hand. He suddenly spun around and lunged toward Deman. The next moment, Lin Yi was taken aback; he had missed again!
This was Deman's domain, and he possessed an absolute advantage in speed! Lin Yi glanced at the others who were already engaged in a fierce battle with the High-Level Zombie, furrowing his brow as his aura began to rise steadily. The energy of the Silver Soul Battle Blade in his hand was also continuously absorbing power, flickering wildly.
Though it seemed lengthy, it was merely a fleeting moment. Lin Yi surged forward, shooting toward the spatial barrier! Suddenly, he felt a jolt of alarm as he saw Deman's figure appear behind Elisa!
"Get away!"
Lin Yi shouted, his body moving instinctively. Before his voice had even faded, he had already appeared right in front of Deman. At that moment, the Crimson Energy Blade in his hand thrust directly toward Deman's chest!
Just then, a sinister smile crept across Deman's face! Lin Yi hesitated for a moment, but without any further thought, he drove the blade into Deman's chest.
"Shhh—" Although Lin Yi found it strange that Deman hadn’t dodged, he didn’t pause for even a second and pierced through Deman’s chest, creating a large hole.
"Boom—"
At that moment, a ghostly presence echoed in Lin Yi's ears, and he realized that the Deman he had just stabbed through had vanished without a trace!
Suddenly, a destructive aura formed around him in an instant. Lin Yi's heart raced as he looked around at the others and felt as if his heart might stop. Those Super Tier Zombies who had just been fighting them were now on the brink of self-detonation! To be continued...
