Deman felt an overwhelming sense of dread, as if Lin Yi's power had some kind of magical hold over him, binding him tightly. At that moment, Deman experienced a fear he had never known before—a fear of death itself.
"This... this is impossible!" Suddenly, Deman's eyes widened in horror as he looked at Lin Yi. His blood surged violently; he saw the Scimitars he had intended to use to kill Lin Yi now hurtling back toward him, and he realized he had lost control over them.
Lin Yi paid no mind to Deman's turmoil. The instant Deman shouted, Lin Yi's hands blurred, and dozens of threads seized the Scimitars that were meant to attack him, holding them firmly in place.
In the next moment, a determined look crossed Lin Yi's face. The Scimitars suddenly accelerated, surrounding Deman in the blink of an eye.
The sound of slicing filled the Absolute Space as the spinning Scimitars relentlessly suppressed Deman. Through his psychic perception, Lin Yi noticed dark energy swirling around Deman, seemingly trying to shield him from the Scimitars.
"Hmph!" A fierce shout erupted from Lin Yi as his Psychic Power transformed into a tangible, transparent arrow that shot straight into Deman's mind.
Suddenly, a scream pierced the air. Deman felt as if his head had exploded with pain. The dark energy he had been controlling faltered as his skull threatened to split apart.
In that crucial moment, Lin Yi seized the opportunity and commanded the Scimitars to accelerate once more! Without Deman's control over the dark energy, it crumbled like paper, losing all resistance. The sound of flesh being sliced echoed as dozens of Scimitars swiftly turned Deman into fragments.
"Haah—" Lin Yi exhaled deeply. Everything had happened so quickly; he had expended considerable energy. Now seeing Deman reduced to mere scraps, he relaxed slightly. He couldn't believe that a living being could be cut into pieces and still come back to life.
Suddenly, an ominous feeling washed over Lin Yi as he sensed a violent surge of energy erupting nearby. This energy was thick with deathly aura. It was as if countless Zombies were emerging around him, and the almost tangible death energy made Lin Yi feel extremely uncomfortable.
His heart raced as he looked again at the floating remnants of Deman's body and gasped in shock! The once blood-red fragments were now enveloped in swirling black mist. Thin black threads emerged from the mist, connecting all the scattered pieces together.
"This is bad!" Lin Yi shouted, but his movements did not slow down. A blazing flame surged toward the remnants. He believed that under the influence of his evolved fire, there was no way for them to merge again.
However, in the next moment, a bizarre scene unfolded: the once ferocious flames hesitated upon nearing the black mist as if they had encountered their nemesis. At that moment, Lin Yi realized he had lost connection with the flame. His eyes widened in disbelief as he watched it cool down!
Indeed, those flames were cooling down; yet their momentum showed no signs of diminishing—they still exuded a powerful force! In just moments, they turned a pale blue and emitted a faint glow. The remnants wrapped in flames seemed to have entered some kind of stasis and stopped moving altogether.
But it was only for an instant; under the pull of the black threads, the fragments quickly gathered together. In the blink of an eye, a towering five-meter-tall monster emerged. Though it retained basic limbs, its entire body was covered in barbs, and its mouth split open to its ears. Its fangs were terrifyingly sharp, and its body was pitch black except for its scarlet eyes.
"This is... Zombie True Form?" Lin Yi asked uncertainly. Zhao Pei had once showcased his Zombie True Form, but it paled in comparison to the imposing presence of this one before him.
“Lord did not deceive me after all. This is the true immortal body!” Deman exclaimed, a triumphant expression on his face, completely oblivious to the fact that he had transformed into a grotesque monster.
“Hmph, you were once a decent human, and now you've become a creature even more repulsive than a Zombie. What’s there to be proud of?” Lin Yi deliberately provoked him, sensing the immense energy surging within Deman.
“Regardless, killing you is my goal!” Deman glared at Lin Yi, his fangs bared in a terrifying display.
At that moment, Lin Yi felt an overwhelming Zombie aura emanating from him. He realized that Deman had reached the final stage of his transformation. Such an immortal body was something Lin Yi would never desire, even if it were offered to him.
“Very well, let’s see who can kill whom today!”
Seeing the madness in his opponent's eyes, Lin Yi understood that words were futile. As soon as he finished speaking, dozens of spears appeared in his hands. With a swift motion, he hurled them toward Deman.
Instead of dodging, Deman charged directly at the incoming spears! Lin Yi was taken aback; was this guy truly insane?
But in the next moment, everything became clear. As Deman moved his massive form, spines shot out from his body with a whoosh, forming a defensive net.
“Clang! Clang! Clang—”
The sharp sounds echoed as hundreds of spines shattered the spears into pieces. Then, astonishingly, these spines seemed to come alive, twisting back and reattaching themselves to Deman.
Lin Yi felt a surge of frustration; this was outrageous! It was as if he had a whole gang helping him fight. He had just realized that those spines could move on their own, meaning Deman essentially wore armor that could actively defend itself!
At that moment, thoughts raced through Lin Yi's mind. He glanced around at the colorful world surrounding him and suddenly had an idea. Energy waves began to ripple around him as he spun rapidly around Deman.
Moments later, countless solidified figures appeared around Deman. These figures shimmered with multicolored light, and it was clear they were all variations of Lin Yi!
“Deman, your time is up!” the multitude of “Lin Yi” declared in unison before they all sprang into action.
These figures were created by Lin Yi using his Absolute Space. To deceive Deman, each figure emitted identical energy signatures. Through his mastery of Spatial Power, he projected his likeness into this space; these images could all be him or none of them could be.
Sure enough, just as Lin Yi began to move, the spines on Deman’s body detached and shot toward different “Lin Yi” figures! Meanwhile, Deman’s true form shifted its gaze and charged toward one of the figures he believed to be the real Lin Yi!
Everything happened in an instant. The spikes, as they surged forward, had already reached Lin Yi's side. In the next moment, all the spikes bizarrely vanished, and at the same time, Lin Yi's figure disappeared without a trace. Even the true form of Lin Yi that Deman believed he had seen vanished completely!
Deman was struck with terror; he never expected Lin Yi to have grown so powerful. Just then, he felt a chilling sensation descending from his head, instantly sweeping over his entire body.
"The wonders of space, you still do not understand enough!" A cold voice echoed near Deman's ear, and he felt a violent energy raging within him. In the blink of an eye, his whole body swelled up like a gigantic balloon.
In the next moment, beams of colorful light burst forth from this balloon. Soon, more light streamed out from Deman's massive balloon-like form.
With a soft "pop," Deman was completely engulfed by the colorful light. The once invincible Deman, the Generation Zombie, finally met his end. This time it was a true death. Lin Yi, having prepared for this moment, directly incinerated Deman's remains, leaving only wisps of light smoke. Even those wisps were collected by Lin Yi and frozen into delicate ice crystals, which he then cast into the chaotic currents of space. These currents represented different levels of space, and Lin Yi believed that no matter how indestructible Deman seemed, this time he was truly dead beyond resurrection.
"Bang—"
Lin Yi collapsed onto the ground, utterly drained of strength to maintain his floating state. That last strike appeared effortless but had consumed nearly all of Lin Yi's energy. Controlling so much space at once was exhausting; even with his Bestow Unique Ability over space, he felt utterly fatigued. At that moment, even a single finger felt as heavy as a mountain; every movement drained him significantly.
Fortunately, this space was under the control of his Psychic Power, and the remaining Psychic Power was sufficient to sustain its existence. However, the space continued to shrink rapidly. Lin Yi didn't care about that for now; he lacked the strength to escape and could only recover some energy first.
Yet deep inside, Lin Yi felt joy. The Deman who had brought countless disasters upon humanity had finally been slain by him. For those innocent lives lost at Deman's hands, Lin Yi had provided them with some measure of justice! But as for the damage caused by Deman, he wondered how long it would take to heal.
