"Thud—" The sound of the blade piercing flesh seemed to linger for a moment before reaching him. At that instant, Ye Yu approached the Blue Marked Person, who appeared somewhat grandiose. Yet, the man had already lost his breath, his eyes wide open in shock and confusion. Even in death, he had not truly grasped how he had met his end.
A chill ran through Ye Yu's heart; death was indeed a terrifying thing. However, this strange emotion quickly faded away. He casually pulled the Refined Blade from the body, not sparing a glance at the fallen Blue Marked Person.
In the next moment, a flicker of confusion crossed Ye Yu's face as he realized that Hua Ruru and the man were nowhere to be found. He looked around and saw Qin Guan also staring blankly at his surroundings. Beneath Qin Guan's feet lay another man, lifeless on the ground.
Ye Yu's Mental Power surged outward, expanding with the recent breakthrough in his realm. His Psychic Power now enveloped an area of five kilometers.
In just a few breaths, Ye Yu's expression tightened as he turned his gaze deeper into the Spaceport.
"They're inside!"
With that, Ye Yu transformed into a shadow and dashed forward. If the others boarded their Spaceship and left, capturing them would become difficult!
Qin Guan was quick to react; as soon as Ye Yu's words fell, he immediately followed suit! The two rushed into the vast Spaceport tunnel, where an oppressive atmosphere hit them like a wave.
Before them stood dozens of various Spaceships, some of which were formidable Space Battleships! The wide runway bore countless dark scratches, clearly indicating that takeoffs and landings were common here.
At this moment, the Spaceport was eerily quiet; it seemed only Ye Yu and Qin Guan occupied this expansive space.
Suddenly, a distant hum echoed through the air. Ye Yu raised an eyebrow, anxiety flickering in his eyes.
A Silver-gray Spaceship abruptly came to life; they had activated the ship! Ye Yu had already detected their position but hadn’t anticipated they would start moving first.
In an instant, a chilling aura enveloped Ye Yu. Almost reflexively, he retreated several steps to the side!
At that moment, a crimson beam, as thick as an adult's arm, streaked past Ye Yu! It silently struck the ground, which had previously been able to withstand the heat waves from the spaceship's airflow. Now, it began to melt away. In just a few blinks, a hole the size of a bowl appeared on the surface, surrounded by a layer of crystalline fragments that glimmered faintly.
In that brief moment of hesitation, the Silver-gray Spaceship had already adjusted to take off! Ye Yu was taken aback and instinctively raised his Phase Gun!
"Zhi—" A Crimson Light Beam instantly illuminated the air, shooting directly toward the Silver-gray Spaceship! The power of this Phase Gun was immense; Ye Yu believed that if he could pierce a hole in that spaceship, it would be enough to pose a threat to them!
Suddenly, the Silver-gray Spaceship emitted a faint silver glow that enveloped the entire ship.
In the next moment, the Crimson Light Beam struck the silver light, but it seemed as if this fragile-looking glow didn’t even tremble. The powerful Laser Beam vanished into that light without a trace.
"Damn it, Energy Shield!" Ye Yu glared fiercely at the spaceship. Just as he was about to charge forward, the rear of the spaceship suddenly expelled a violent gust of airflow!
Even with Ye Yu's combat strength, he nearly stumbled under the impact of this force. Fortunately, he reacted quickly and managed to retreat to a safe area. Otherwise, he would have been swept away by this heat wave—if he didn’t die, he would at least be severely burned!
The Silver-gray Spaceship had completed its startup sequence, and Ye Yu realized he had little chance of stopping it now! However, recalling what had just transpired filled him with an inexplicable irritation.
He took a few steps back and swiftly wielded his blade with his right hand!
"Whoosh—" The sound of a sharp blade slicing through space rang out as a cold light shot toward the spaceship.
"Clang—"
A loud noise erupted as that cold light ignored the Energy Shield and embedded itself into the hull of the spaceship, sinking deep into where the hilt was! Ye Yu looked at that spot with an odd expression, suddenly realizing that his earlier emotions were misplaced. The Refined Blade was a fine weapon, yet he had just thrown it away so carelessly!
“Rumble—”
At that moment, a synchronized rumbling echoed in Ye Yu's ears, as if some gigantic monster was charging wildly toward them.
Ye Yu and Qin Guan exchanged glances, both seeing confusion reflected in each other's eyes. Without hesitation, they shot toward the entrance, determined to leave this place as quickly as possible.
However, just as they were about to escape, darkness suddenly enveloped the entrance, and several large shadows blocked it completely!
“Nine!”
Ye Yu squinted at the familiar Battle Mechs, his voice low. Almost instinctively, he raised his Phase Gun, aiming it at the mechs before him. In that moment, Ye Yu quickly calculated their escape route; he sensed that at least ten Type Nine Battle Mechs were rushing toward them!
A Type Nine mech in the hands of a trained soldier could unleash combat power equivalent to Third Stage martial arts. However, typically, those piloting such mechs were not ordinary soldiers, meaning their power would far exceed Third Stage capabilities.
“How could the Amethyst Society have so many Type Nine Battle Mechs?” Qin Guan's handsome face was filled with confusion. Even he had not anticipated this sudden turn of events.
Such Battle Mechs were not easily obtainable even for Silver Dragon City. For an unregulated organization like the Amethyst Society, acquiring one or two Type Nine mechs would likely be kept secret rather than used so openly.
Within the Federation's territory, aside from the Federal Military, it was nearly impossible for anyone else to mobilize so many Type Nine Battle Mechs! Yet clearly, the mechs showed no regard for Ye Yu and Qin Guan's intentions.
Just as Ye Yu and Qin Guan prepared to fire, the two Phase Guns mounted on the shoulders of the Type Nine Battle Mechs had already powered up, and from their dark openings emerged beams of deadly light!
