In the thin line between life and death, Ye Yu gathered all his strength into his arms. He had no idea if he could withstand the Muscular Man's deadly strike!
It all happened in an instant. Ye Yu knew that in the next moment, he would face the terrifying force of his opponent's impact! But as seconds ticked by, Ye Yu did not feel the horrific attack that should have come.
He looked up and saw a man in a white robe standing before him. At that moment, the man raised his arm, his pure white palm grasping the Muscular Man's fist. The White-Robed Man's hand was slender, and compared to the Muscular Man's massive hand, it looked like a baby's hand next to a giant's palm.
However, this seemingly weak hand effortlessly blocked the powerful blow. The owner of the hand looked at his opponent with a calm expression, a slight smile playing on his lips.
"Jin Shan!" Ye Yu exclaimed excitedly, feeling a surge of exhilaration! Jin Shan had just been absorbing energy, and now he was easily blocking the Muscular Man's attack, which meant he had fully absorbed it. It was clear that Jin Shan was now incredibly strong.
"Damn it!"
At that moment, the Muscular Man finally reacted. His face, covered in bulging muscles, suddenly twitched, and then his other arm swung towards Jin Shan's head!
Without any visible movement from Jin Shan, a flash of white light suddenly illuminated the area. Then came a sharp crack as the Muscular Man's arm went limp like a noodle, dropping down to hang loosely from his shoulder like a rootless branch.
Ye Yu gaped in astonishment. His reaction was quick, but he barely caught sight of Jin Shan’s arm suddenly swelling. It then wrapped around the Muscular Man's arm and twisted his joint in the opposite direction, breaking his arm.
All of this transpired in the blink of an eye. Even Ye Yu needed a moment to replay Jin Shan's actions in his mind after it happened.
"Ah—"
Finally, the pain in his arm jolted the Muscular Man's nerves. He roared with rage, his eyes turning blood red like bronze bells, surrounded by an aura of malevolence as if he were a demon from hell.
In the next moment, the hand that Jin Shan had seized immediately retracted. Then, his massive body lurched forward like a looming shadow descending upon them.
For the Muscular Man, his only desire was to smash the robed figure before him into a pulp, thus relieving the hatred that had built up inside him. With each movement he made, dull thuds echoed through the Passageway.
However, Jin Shan showed no signs of panic. In fact, Ye Yu noticed that he seemed to be observing the Muscular Man's actions with great interest, showing no intention of striking back.
For a moment, Ye Yu felt his heart leap into his throat. He knew Jin Shan wouldn't be killed by a single punch, yet he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
Suddenly, something incredible happened. Just as the Muscular Man's arm was about to strike Jin Shan, Jin Shan's figure blurred and vanished from sight.
Then, like a ghost, Jin Shan reappeared behind the Muscular Man's head. In the next instant, his arm swelled in size and without hesitation transformed into a blade, delivering a swift strike to the back of the Muscular Man's skull.
A muffled grunt echoed through the Passageway, and then Ye Yu saw the once ferocious expression on the Muscular Man's face freeze in place, motionless. Almost simultaneously, the Muscular Man's eyelids fluttered before he collapsed forward as if all support had been taken from him.
Seeing the mountain-like figure tumble towards him, Ye Yu's eyelids twitched. He quickly sprang back several meters, his feet dancing on the ground.
With a resounding crash, the massive body of the Muscular Man fell heavily to the ground.
At that moment, Jin Shan appeared beside Ye Yu in a blur. He looked at the fallen Muscular Man, his eyes flickering with excitement that Ye Yu could faintly see at the corners of his mouth.
"After being so weak for so long, I finally get to experience what it feels like to possess strength!" Jin Shan said with a faint smile as he gazed at the Muscular Man on the ground.
Ye Yu's throat felt dry. He didn't know just how powerful Jin Shan had become, but that thunderous display of strength seemed comparable to Huang Laowai.
"You... how strong are you now?" Ye Yu asked hoarsely after swallowing hard. At that moment, an instinctive fear began to creep into his heart.
"Are you afraid of me?" Jin Shan asked, turning to glance at Ye Yu.
Ye Yu was taken aback. He didn't understand why Jin Shan would say that, but he did feel a flicker of unease within him, as Jin Shan's display of strength was overwhelming.
"I don't know what to think, but I definitely feel like you're different now!" Ye Yu admitted. He realized that if Jin Shan truly intended to harm him, there would be no escape. Without hesitation, he voiced his thoughts.
Jin Shan nodded, maintaining his calm demeanor. "I understand that feeling. It's a fear that arises from comparing oneself to someone stronger."
"But I'm not like you Carbon-Based Life forms who enjoy killing each other. Look at this big guy; I only knocked him out. So naturally, I won't pose any threat to you!"
Ye Yu shrugged, feigning a relaxed attitude. "I get that, but just how strong are you now?"
A flicker of confusion crossed Jin Shan's eyes before he quickly replied, "To be specific, I've observed many of your battles and learned quite a bit about your combat techniques. If I had to rate my strength, I'd say it’s roughly equivalent to your Sixth-Level Combat Power!"
Upon hearing Jin Shan's words, Ye Yu couldn't help but be astonished. With just the absorption of some energy, Jin Shan had instantly become a master at the Sixth Level of physical combat! Many dedicated their entire lives to mastering martial arts and never reached the level Jin Shan was at now.
"What do we do now?" Ye Yu found himself at a loss for what to do next. He had thought Jin Shan was merely regaining his computational abilities, not realizing he possessed such formidable combat power. Instinctively, Ye Yu wanted to know what Jin Shan's plans were.
"Of course we leave. Their Main Power Cabin has already been destroyed by us, and this Mother Ship won't be able to leave this area for a while!" Jin Shan glanced at the Power Cabin, and a glimmer of light flashed in his eyes.
Previously, Ye Yu had used his Mental Power to damage the crystal threads inside the Power Cabin. Now it lay in ruins, clearly unable to function normally!
