In the dimly lit docking area of the spaceship, a profound silence enveloped the space, as if no living creature existed within. Ye Yu held his breath, intently observing his surroundings while cautiously releasing the little Mental Power he had just regained, hoping to explore further.
“Jin Shan, don’t you find it strange? It’s too quiet here,” Ye Yu thought, a sudden unease gripping his heart. He had initially planned to deal with some of the crew members from the Wanderer before leaving, but moments ago, everyone had inexplicably vanished.
Ye Yu couldn’t believe that no one had noticed the abnormality here; yet, no one had come to investigate. There had to be something unusual at play. Little did he know that Luo Yunhan had already decided to abandon the Wanderer and had informed everyone to leave via the Escape Pod! Those ships still engaged in battle outside would naturally not return to the Mother Ship and were prepared to depart.
At that moment, Jin Shan stood behind Ye Yu. Hearing his words, he furrowed his brow slightly and said, “After analyzing our surroundings, I’ve calculated that we are in danger!”
Upon hearing Jin Shan's words, Ye Yu raised an eyebrow, further confirming his suspicions. The pirates hadn’t failed to notice the anomaly; they were already acting quietly. Over these days, as his Mental Power grew, he became increasingly sensitive to his surroundings.
“Do we need to leave?” Ye Yu felt a twinge of anxiety; his instincts told him that now was not the time to simply walk away.
Jin Shan didn’t respond but suddenly placed his palm against the wall beside him. Then an eerie scene unfolded: where Jin Shan's hand made contact with the wall, a burst of white light erupted. However, this glow lasted only a fleeting moment before vanishing.
Suddenly, Jin Shan’s expression changed dramatically, as if he had seen something terrifying; a flicker of brilliance ignited in his previously calm eyes.
“What a violent surge of energy! What’s happening?” Jin Shan murmured under his breath as even more dazzling light erupted from his palm.
“What’s going on?”
Seeing Jin Shan’s pale face, Ye Yu’s heart raced; every muscle in his body tensed up as a sense of impending doom washed over him!
Jin Shan remained silent, but from his actions, Ye Yu understood that he too hadn’t fully grasped the situation. Although anxious, Ye Yu refrained from pressing him further.
“Energy is starting to go out of control in many areas!”
"This is not right, it's man-made... Oh no! They've detonated the spaceship!"
In just a few seconds, Jin Shan suddenly shouted, his voice filled with fear, clearly indicating that things were spiraling out of his control.
"What! Detonated?"
Ye Yu felt a tingling sensation at the back of his head upon hearing Jin Shan's words, quickly calculating the consequences of the massive Mother Ship exploding in his mind.
"Yes, there's no time left. Unless we stop this ship from self-destructing, even if we pilot our ship away, we'll still be affected! Our chances of escaping... are... no, we have no chance of escaping!"
Jin Shan's face turned extremely serious, and the light in his eyes flickered rapidly as he calculated their survival probability in that moment. However, the result was clearly very grim.
A hint of unwillingness flashed across Ye Yu's face. Just as he was about to board the Seagull-Class Battleship, he heard Jin Shan's voice beside him.
"Quickly go to the Control Room. I can't cut off the energy that's about to self-destruct; only the Control Room can! Once you get there, I'll crack the operation code, and you just need to follow my instructions!"
Upon hearing Jin Shan's words, Ye Yu stopped in his tracks. In the next moment, without waiting for Ye Yu to respond, Jin Shan waved his arm, and a map of the spaceship shimmering with various colored dots appeared before Ye Yu.
"The green dot is our location, the red heart is the location of the Control Room, and the red line is the shortest route I've calculated for you to reach the Control Room."
Ye Yu glanced at the map and quickly memorized it. With his continuous training in Mental Power, his memory had significantly improved.
"There are seventy-eight seconds until the ship explodes. According to my calculations, you can reach your target location in seventy-five seconds!"
The words of Jin Shan echoed once more in Ye Yu's ears, but at that moment, Ye Yu's figure became indistinct again, and he was heading straight for the Control Room! The Wanderer was no ordinary ship; it was not an exaggeration to say that this Mother Ship was equivalent to a small city.
For Ye Yu to reach the Control Room in less than a minute and a half, even with Jin Shan's assistance, was nearly an impossible task.
At this moment, Ye Yu moved so quickly that he was almost invisible. He cherished every second. In the future, when he looked back on this moment, he would realize it was when he valued time the most.
Fortunately, everyone inside the ship had already evacuated, and Ye Yu encountered no obstacles. If there had been even a slight delay from anyone, he would have completely lost hope of arriving on time!
Ye Yu's heart raced as if it were in his throat. His legs pushed to their limits; every extra meter gained was not to be taken lightly. Thankfully, the route calculated by Jin Shan proved to be the optimal path, and with his strong memory, Ye Yu did not take any wrong turns.
As the route in his mind drew closer, a hint of joy appeared on Ye Yu's face. Jin Shan did not fully understand Ye Yu's true capabilities and had made a slight miscalculation. Ye Yu arrived at the entrance of the Control Room two seconds earlier than Jin Shan had predicted!
Suddenly, Ye Yu's expression changed, panic flickering in his eyes.
"This door is manually controlled; I can't open it remotely. You need to break it down!" At that moment, Jin Shan's voice reached Ye Yu's ears!
Ye Yu had no time to hesitate. As soon as Jin Shan's words rang out, he pulled out the sleek Phase Gun and cranked up the power to maximum!
In the next instant, Ye Yu pressed the gun barrel against the lock of the door and unleashed a Crimson Light Beam directly onto it! With immense energy burning through, a hole appeared in the door instantly! Ignoring the intense heat emanating from the opening, Ye Yu reached out to grab hold of it!
A sizzling sound echoed as flesh met scorching heat, and a burnt smell quickly filled the air.
