Northern District, the base of the Federal Defense Force.
Under the starry sky, there was nothing but endless emptiness, with only this seemingly inconspicuous planet showing a hint of vitality. However, due to its size, the atmosphere of this planet was quite thin, and most areas were barren. Reddish-brown rocks were interspersed with countless crisscrossing ravines, giving a sense of ancient desolation.
Thousands of years ago, when the Federation's advance team arrived here, they intended to transform it into a habitable home for humanity. Yet thousands of years had passed, and it still resembled its original state. However, near the center of the planet's axis of rotation, there was a green zone spanning over a hundred kilometers. This was a secret base of the Northern Defense Force, a place that could not be found on ordinary star maps.
At this moment, on the top floor of a solitary three-story building nestled deep within the dense forest, stood a man with graying temples. His facial skin was tight, making him appear no older than thirty, though the fine crow's feet revealed his true age.
This man was the Commander of the Northern District, Ouyang from the Ouyang Family, one of the representatives of the younger generation! However, at this moment, his furrowed brow suggested he was burdened with heavy thoughts. The defensive pressure in the Northern District was not as intense as that on the front lines; logically speaking, Ouyang should not be under such great stress. Yet it was clear that something significant weighed heavily on his mind.
Suddenly, a figure clad in black robes appeared on the balcony where only Ouyang had been standing. The figure was entirely enveloped in black fabric, making it impossible to discern their gender.
The appearance of this cloaked figure was extremely abrupt, yet Ouyang seemed to have anticipated their arrival and showed no signs of surprise.
"The plan has changed; all personnel involved in previous operations need to go into hiding!" The cloaked figure spoke as soon as they appeared, their voice steady and clearly that of a man.
"Hmph! After so many years of planning, we end up failing at the last moment and suffering such great losses. Where will we find another opportunity like this in the future?" Ouyang did not turn around but let out a cold snort filled with dissatisfaction.
The cloaked figure showed no reaction to Ouyang's anger and continued calmly, "The situation is also unexpected for us; an unforeseen individual completely disrupted our plan!"
Upon hearing this, Ouyang's face flushed with anger. "We’ve been planning this for several years only to have it ruined by one person? Even if that person is the President of the Federation, Ye Gen could not have done this!"
"Mr. Ouyang, one should not be so absolute about everything. This situation caught us all off guard. Fortunately, we have made timely adjustments; I believe there will still be opportunities in the future!" The cloaked figure replied unperturbedly, showing no signs of concern over Ouyang's fury.
Ouyang turned around, puzzled, and asked, "Is that matter really true?"
The man in the black robe snorted lightly at Ouyang's words and replied, "It seems the general is aware of the truth. Then why question my words? That person managed to capture a Starship all by himself—who could have anticipated that!"
Ouyang raised his eyebrows sharply, as if trying to escape from his own forehead. Even with his experience, he couldn't imagine how that person had accomplished such a feat.
"Do you have any Image Data?" Ouyang asked after a few seconds of silence, looking at the man in the black robe.
The man nodded. Without making any noticeable movements, a transparent crystal ball floated in mid-air. Then, blue light refracted from it, revealing a Star Map.
