"Ah—" The Bald Man let out a heart-wrenching shriek, as if he were undergoing the most brutal of tortures. The invisible barrier that had surrounded him vanished along with that piercing cry.
In the next moment, a sound akin to a blade slicing through flesh echoed in the narrow space. The Phantom Blade in Ye Yu's hand seemed to plunge into the desert, instantly embedding itself into the Bald Man's forehead. In an instant, the blade pierced through the Bald Man's skull, and a deep blue glow flickered ominously at the back of his head, creating an eerie sight.
At this moment, the Bald Man stared at Ye Yu with eyes wide as saucers, as if he wanted to swallow him whole.
"Heh heh—" The Bald Man's mouth opened, seemingly trying to utter something, but the sound that emerged was harsh and grating, like metal scraping against metal. However, it wasn't long before the once vibrant light in his eyes dimmed, leaving only a flicker of life.
Everything transpired in an instant. Ye Yu observed the fading energy in the Bald Man and exhaled lightly.
Suddenly, an unexpected change occurred!
The nearly lifeless Bald Man's eyes twitched slightly, and then his mouth, which had begun to turn white, suddenly gaped wide open!
At that moment, a bizarre scene unfolded: a dark mass shot out from the Bald Man's mouth, hurtling straight toward Ye Yu's face.
Ye Yu, who had just relaxed, felt a tingling sensation on his scalp. Perhaps even he was unaware that his reflexes had improved dramatically. Instinctively, as soon as the dark mass appeared, an invisible wave of energy surged within his mind.
This wave of energy seemed to transcend the limitations of time and space; at the very moment it stirred to life, it manifested right before Ye Yu.
With a sharp "crack," the dark mass collided against Ye Yu's Psychic Power Energy Shield. The tremendous impact deformed the shield as if it might be breached at any moment by that dark entity. However, this state lasted only for a second before the dark mass came to a halt and fell to the ground like a lifeless object.
As soon as the black mass hit the ground, a hissing sound erupted. The surface beneath it—capable of withstanding ordinary Phase Gun fire—quickly corroded into a hole. As time passed, the hole continued to expand. It was then that Ye Yu could see clearly that this dark mass resembled a mixture of liquid and particles; it was sticky and emitted a faintly putrid odor.
At that moment, the Bald Man, who had been standing upright in front of Ye Yu, suddenly collapsed towards him like a house losing its support. Ye Yu moved slightly and withdrew the Phantom Blade embedded in the man's forehead, watching as he fell directly to the ground.
Simultaneously, the invisible barriers that had bound him began to dissipate, and Ye Yu felt a wave of relief wash over him.
Suddenly, Ye Yu's brow furrowed; his previously relaxed expression turned serious in an instant. Just a moment ago, he had instinctively released his Mental Power to scan the surroundings and sensed two groups of people rushing towards him with murderous intent.
However, a smile crept onto Ye Yu's lips. He had clearly felt the killing aura emanating from them, even though they were at least ten minutes away. This was all thanks to his recent breakthrough in Psychic Power; his Mental Power had increased a level compared to before.
Ye Yu believed that with his fourth-tier body technique combined with his new Psychic Power level, he could hold his own even against a Sixth Level martial artist. It was important to note that even in the Blue Seal Empire, Sixth Level combatants were considered formidable opponents.
Yet, Ye Yu quickly wiped the smile from his face. He was deep within enemy territory; no matter how powerful his individual combat ability was, being surrounded by foes armed with advanced firearms would leave him with no chance of escape.
With this thought in mind, Ye Yu immediately retracted his released Psychic Power and transformed into a blur, darting deeper into the Passageway. Compared to before, he moved more stealthily and swiftly. Where he could once be seen by keen eyes, now even those of the same rank would struggle to notice his presence.
At this moment, the Hangar was already sharpening its knives, waiting for Ye Yu to walk into their trap. With both his combat power and Mental Power enhanced, there was no way he would rush to leave. Besides, even if he managed to seize a space Fighter and escape, he would surely be pursued by more enemy ships; at that point, even with his abilities, escaping would be nearly impossible.
Ye Yu's Mental Power radiated outward like invisible tentacles spreading around him as he began to explore whether there were any targets within the range of his scan.

Meanwhile, in the Command Hall of the Invincible Ship, Luo Yunhan watched the surveillance footage with a grim expression on his face.
"What kind of Ability is this that it can kill Hao?" Luo Yunhan's cold voice emerged from his thin lips, sending a chill down Zhong Zhi's spine as he listened.
"The analysis from the Ability database suggests it is a type of mental attack.
