On this side, Xue looked at Yao Guang's pained expression and made a decision. He cast a spell, setting the room where Yao Guang was located as a forbidden zone. What he was about to do was somewhat dangerous for both himself and Yao Guang. Xue took a deep breath, focusing his energy, and forced his soul out of his body. To his astonishment, instead of the golden light of a divine being, Xue's soul emitted a faint purple glow. After glancing at his physical form, he entered Yao Guang's world. 0

Xue followed the trail of Yao Guang's soul, moving forward. His world was not the same as the one Yao Guang had just encountered. 0

Before him lay an endless expanse of white, and he couldn't help but feel uneasy; this place was strange. He just wanted to find Yao Guang quickly so he could take her back. 0

“Xue, Xue, how did you get here?” He heard Yao Guang's voice and turned to look behind him. 0

Sure enough, he saw Yao Guang running excitedly towards him, and Xue felt a wave of relief wash over him. 0

“Yao Guang, are you okay?” Yao Guang looked fine; it seemed she hadn't been affected by this bizarre world. 0

“Yes, Xue. I was scared to death! I thought I was all alone here. How did you get in?” Yao Guang exclaimed with excitement upon seeing him, her hands gesturing animatedly. 0

Seeing the vibrant Yao Guang put Xue at ease, though he didn't show too much on the surface. He calmly took her hand. “I'm glad you're okay. Let's leave this place as soon as possible.” 0

“Okay,” Yao Guang nodded obediently, her face slightly flushed as she looked at Xue. 0

Xue and Yao Guang walked side by side in this world. 0

“Yao Guang, how did you end up behind me?” Xue suddenly asked. 0

“I don’t know! I just kept walking and then saw you in front of me, so I ran to catch up,” Yao Guang explained. 0

Upon hearing her explanation, Xue instinctively felt that something was off. 0

“Xue, how did you get in?” Yao Guang tilted her head with a smile as she asked. 0

Looking at Yao Guang's innocent smile, Xue didn't want her to know that he had sacrificed his physical body to enter. So he replied casually, “I followed your soul here.” He brushed it off lightly. 0

Yao Guang nodded in belief and then lowered her head. In the next moment, she dashed into Xue's embrace. “Xue, I knew it! I knew you would come for me! So I wasn't worried at all—really, not worried at all.” 0

Xue could feel Yao Guang trembling slightly in his arms. Looking down at her, he noticed that this grown-up version of Yao Guang still sought comfort in his embrace just like before. With a sigh, Xue hugged her back tightly. As she cried more freely in his arms, he could feel the dampness spreading on his chest from her tears. 0

“Yao Guang, enough, don’t cry anymore. I’m here now,” Xue said, feeling that Yao Guang had been crying for far too long and had no choice but to comfort her. 0

“Mm, sniffle, Xue, I just can’t help it,” Yao Guang pouted, unwilling to leave Xue’s embrace. 0

After hearing this, Xue gently pulled Yao Guang away from him. His once tender gaze gradually turned cold as he looked at the person before him and asked slowly, “Who are you?” 0

Yao Guang looked bewildered, her tear-streaked eyes gazing up at Xue. “I’m Yao Guang! What’s wrong with you, Xue?” 0

Xue scrutinized this “Yao Guang.” In terms of appearance and demeanor, she seemed almost indistinguishable from the real Yao Guang. However, he was certain that this person was not Yao Guang! He had just been deceived by this imposter and hadn’t realized it until now. But through his gradual understanding of Yao Guang, he could confidently assert that this person was not her. 0

“Where is Yao Guang?” Xue asked coldly, glaring at the imposter who wore Yao Guang’s face to deceive him. He felt no affection for her. 0

“Xue, what’s wrong? I am Yao Guang! Look, look! Don’t you recognize me?” The imposter continued to argue, tears welling up in her eyes again. 0

“Stop your tears. I’ll ask you one more time: where is Yao Guang?” Tears could soften his heart, but only if they belonged to the real Yao Guang and not this imposter. 0

Xue drew his sword and pointed it at the imposter. 0

“Alright, I admit I’m not Yao Guang. But aren’t you always thinking about her? I am Yao Guang—the one you’ve been longing for,” the imposter sneered as she dropped her pitiful act. 0

“You’re lying!” Xue shouted in anger as his thoughts were laid bare. In a fit of rage, he swung his sword, watching as the “Yao Guang” twisted and vanished under the force of his strike. 0

“Xue, you can’t kill me. I am the demon in your heart; I am your obstacle. As long as you exist, so do I.” 0

Another Yao Guang appeared behind him, grinning as she looked at him. 0

“No!” Xue swung his sword again. 0

This place was indeed strange; it could delve into the depths of a person’s thoughts and materialize them. Moreover, it was indistinguishable from reality. If he hadn’t noticed in time, he might have fallen into its trap. 0

He couldn’t help but worry about how Yao Guang was faring now. He understood her obsession with him all too well and feared that she might lose herself in this illusion. 0

As concern for Yao Guang grew in his heart, his anxiety intensified. The inner demon within him also grew stronger, revealing more cracks in his facade. 0

"Xue, you like me, don't you? Look, otherwise, how could I possibly be here!" The cheerful Yao Guang revealed the secret hidden in Xue's heart. 0

Indeed, he had already developed feelings for Yao Guang. Perhaps it was Yao Guang's sincerity that touched him, or maybe it was the warmth he felt in Yao Guang's presence. Regardless of the reason, Xue knew that he had fallen for Yao Guang. 0

"So what if I like Yao Guang? It has nothing to do with you, Imposter." Xue once again severed the illusion. 0

"You finally admitted it; you like me," Yao Guang said with a joyful smile, her dimples appearing. Xue knew that this was how Yao Guang smiled when she was truly happy. 0

"Xue, since we both like each other, wouldn't it be better to stay here? Why do you want to take me out? Look, the outside world won't allow our love." 0

Was this his innermost thought? Xue questioned himself. Although this Imposter was fake, it reflected his deepest feelings. He truly wished to be with Yao Guang and not go back outside. 0

Yao Guang noticed Xue's inner turmoil and leaned closer to him. "Do you really want to watch me suffer in silence, trailing behind you only to be punished by those in the courtyard again? I don't want to experience that feeling of thunder striking my soul once more. Let's stay here—just you and me. Isn't that wonderful?" 0

Yao Guang's voice softly echoed in Xue's ears. The face before him was indeed Yao Guang's. If they stayed together, he wouldn't have to worry about being apart from her. Liu Qing and Xiao Yao Hao had already missed their chance; did he really want to end up like them, separated by life and death without ever seeing each other again? 0

Slowly, Xue lowered his sword. Although these words came from Yao Guang's lips, they represented his own thoughts. Only by staying here could he better protect Yao Guang, allowing those in the courtyard to forget about them while he followed his heart and truly be with her. 0

Yao Guang tightly embraced Xue, revealing a strange smile in a place where he couldn't see. 0
