It is said that there is a strange phenomenon in nature: when a person's brainwave frequency drops to zero megahertz, they can communicate with ghosts.
This rumor naturally caught the attention of the Paranormal Society, and in search of new material, they decided to investigate the nearby village known for its eerie reputation.
Four years ago, this village had experienced a horrific incident. A mentally disturbed woman, filled with resentment, had hanged herself.
When the villagers arrived at the scene, the body was already severely decomposed, with the head grotesquely swaying on the noose, completely severed from the body. The sight was terrifying and chilling.
Since then, the house began to be haunted frequently, prompting the villagers to invite a shaman to perform rituals to exorcise the evil spirits.
However, just as the ritual was getting underway, the shaman suddenly stopped her actions.
Furrowing her brow in tension, she slowly turned her head and was shocked to see the door behind her inexplicably opening on its own.
In an instant, the air around them seemed to drop to freezing temperatures. The villagers were so frightened that they dared not make a sound, standing frozen in place. But the shaman was no ordinary person; she continued her incantations while cautiously stepping into the room. To their horror, the door slammed shut behind her with a loud thud.
This sudden turn of events left the villagers paralyzed with fear. Their eyes were glued to that door, bodies trembling slightly, terrified of what might leap out next.
Inside the room, the shaman suddenly felt a chill creeping up behind her. She turned to look but was met with a piercing scream that echoed through the air. After that scream, an eerie silence enveloped the room once more.
To check on the shaman's safety, the villagers nervously opened the door.
At first, they saw nothing unusual. But when one woman looked up, she gasped in horror at the sight of the shaman hanging from the beams in an extremely unnatural position.
From that day on, the house became a true haunted dwelling; anyone who dared step inside was akin to lighting a lantern in a toilet—seeking death.
Yet, despite the terrifying nature of the situation, there were still those unafraid of death who wanted to uncover the truth.
In search of material, five young members of the Paranormal Society drove to the haunted house.
They chatted and laughed along the way, clearly not taking the trip seriously. However, one girl named Keiko exhibited unusual behavior.
While they were shopping at a store at the foot of the mountain, only she saw a little girl with bloodstains on her legs. After entering the store, the girl vanished without a trace.
Upon hearing that they were heading to a haunted house, the shopkeeper sternly warned them. No matter how much he pleaded, these reckless young people refused to listen.
As they drove away, Keiko spotted the little girl again. Soon, they arrived at the haunted house.
Four years had passed, and it had become an abandoned shack. The only thing that hadn’t changed was the deep-rooted malevolent aura that lingered; others couldn’t sense it, but Keiko felt an intense unease as soon as she arrived.
She involuntarily glanced toward the room where the madwoman had hanged herself. In that moment, it became clear that Keiko was a descendant of an exorcist; she could see things that ordinary people could not.
Her companions began to explore the terrain and surroundings, and the dilapidated shack exuded an eerie atmosphere.
A Jay discovered that the house was built over a water vein, where dark energy converged and lingered year-round. Meanwhile, Blonde Sister went to check the kitchen and found that although the Fire Pit was less than two and a half meters deep, it felt as if there were a terrifying bottomless pit inside.
But the strangest of all was Keiko.
She ventured to explore the back mountain and accidentally stumbled upon a formation surrounded by ruins.
Keiko felt a wave of dizziness wash over her; in her daze, she sensed that there were others present in this place.
After Keiko returned, she sat silently to the side, and her companions thought she was just too tired to engage in conversation, so they paid her little mind.
They began discussing their plan to hold a Spirit Summoning Ritual that night, believing that if they could capture a ghost on camera, the Club would surely go viral.
However, as they talked about it, Keiko felt an ominous premonition. At that moment, she realized that her encounter in the woods seemed like a warning; if they continued to linger here, it would undoubtedly lead to greater trouble. With this thought in mind, she advised her friends against it.
Time quickly passed, and soon it was evening. They filled the house with cameras and placed an EEG device on Blonde Sister's head, then had her lie down in the spot where the madwoman had committed suicide.
According to the requirements of the Spirit Summoning Ritual, they took out two dolls—one hung in the southwest corner of the room and the other soaked in Beef Liver Water. It was said that this would attract spirits.
Once everything was ready, Zihao began reciting the Summoning Spell. As the incantation concluded, Blonde Sister's body started to convulse violently, her frenzied appearance resembling that of someone possessed by a ghost.
This scene truly startled everyone present; they rushed over to check on her, but before long, Blonde Sister suddenly fell silent.
It turned out that this terrifying display was merely one of her pranks. The group finally breathed a sigh of relief.
But as the saying goes, "Those who seek trouble will find it." Their ignorant and fearless actions had unknowingly provoked a Demon.
In the dead of night, Zihao sleepily wandered into the yard to relieve himself when he suddenly heard rustling from the bushes behind him. He quickly raised his flashlight to investigate and saw a long-haired Monster Bird.
"Who’s there?"
Zihao became intrigued by the Monster Bird and followed it eagerly. However, as he chased after it, the Monster Bird unexpectedly darted into the kitchen.
As Zihao followed, that Monster Bird darted straight into the Fire Pit. When he returned to the computer, he saw A Jay and Blonde Sister embracing and touching each other on the camera, which left Zihao feeling quite displeased.
He had always liked Blonde Sister, but unfortunately, A Jay had gotten there first.
At that moment, a light rain began to fall from the sky. Keiko, resting in her room, suddenly grabbed Xiao Shuai's shirt, her body trembling uncontrollably as if she had seen something terrifying.
"I'm... I'm going to die!" Keiko clutched Xiao Shuai's shirt tightly, shaking all over.
Just then, a hand appeared behind Keiko, covering her mouth through her hair. The person whispered for her to stay silent; it was the old woman Keiko had seen during the day. Strangely enough, Xiao Shuai could see nothing at all.
Meanwhile, Zihao noticed that Blonde Sister's brainwaves had suddenly plummeted. When they reached 0.0 megahertz, Blonde Sister abruptly opened her eyes. Then they heard the door creaking open slowly; at that moment, Blonde Sister looked as if she had lost her soul.
Zihao called her name, but she ignored him and slowly walked toward the darkness with her head down.
As a devoted admirer, Zihao rushed forward to stop her. Blonde Sister slowly turned her head, revealing eyes that were nothing but white. Zihao jolted awake from his scream; it turned out to be just a nightmare.
But when he looked up at the cabin, Blonde Sister was already missing from where she had been lying. He quickly called for the others to help search for her.
Just as Xiao Shuai was about to get up, Keiko suddenly grabbed his hand and whispered not to go back there before she completely fainted.
After a thorough search, they finally found Blonde Sister in the kitchen.
Blonde Sister used her last bit of sanity to plead for help from everyone before twisting and crawling on the ground in an extremely bizarre manner. By the time Zihao and A Jay reacted, Blonde Sister's upper body had already wedged itself into the stove.
"Hang in there," they urged.
Slowly, the Blonde Sister disappeared at the end of the stove. The two of them kept banging on the ground, hoping to get a response from her, and to their surprise, this method actually worked.
After confirming the general location of the Blonde Sister, they began to smash the ground with stones, but it was already too late. Suddenly, a mass of long hair erupted from the Fire Pit, slowly wrapping around the Blonde Sister. Before long, the hair slipped into her ears, seemingly intending to give her an ear massage.
Finally, after relentless efforts from the two clever ones, a large hole was smashed open in the ground, allowing the Blonde Sister to narrowly escape with her life.
The two finally breathed a sigh of relief, unaware that while summoning a spirit was easy, sending one away was difficult. At that moment, they had no idea that the Blonde Sister had already been possessed by a Demon.
The group prepared to flee this haunted place, but Keiko managed to muster a bit of strength amidst her daze. She informed everyone that it wasn't over yet; for the Blonde Sister to leave safely, they had to completely burn the doll hanging from the ceiling. However, in such a perilous situation, no one dared to go back.
"You useless piece of trash."
The Spirit Summoning Ritual had been initiated by Zihao, so it fell upon him to conclude this heavy responsibility.
Zihao returned inside, picked up a lighter, and prepared to burn the doll. But at that moment of ignition, he hesitated, reflecting on how he had ended up with nothing after being so devoted.
In that instant, Zihao awakened. Embracing the philosophy of "if I can't have it, I'll destroy it," he threw the doll into the Fire Pit instead of burning it.
Afterward, the group went to the hospital, but the doctor found nothing unusual with the Blonde Sister. Her current state seemed to be temporary shock; when she would wake up was uncertain.
They then settled temporarily at a hotel near the hospital, leaving A Jay alone to watch over the Blonde Sister in her room.
The next morning, Zihao came over to A Jay and suggested taking turns watching her. Just then, A Jay felt hungry and decided to go out for breakfast.
As soon as A Jay left, Zihao pulled the curtain in front of the hospital bed. It turned out that this foolish infatuated fool's obsession had flared up again.
The more Zihao spoke, the more he couldn't suppress his feelings. Ignoring whether Blonde Sister was willing or not, he dove right into her cheek and began to nibble.
But just then, Blonde Sister suddenly opened her cataract-clouded eyes, and hair began to emerge from her mouth. By the time Zihao realized something was wrong, it was already too late.
The scene shifted to Xiao Shuai, who was having breakfast with Keiko when he received a call from A Jay, saying that Blonde Sister had woken up.
The two rushed to the hospital but didn't see Zihao. No one paid much attention to it; even A Jay complained that he had left halfway through taking care of the patient. Soon after, Blonde Sister was discharged.
A Jay and Blonde Sister, this pair of lovesick individuals, had been holding back for a long time. In broad daylight, they entered a room together to explore the structure of their relationship.
Night fell quickly. After returning from the supermarket, Xiao Shuai saw A Jay driving away in a hurry.
From A Jay's expression, it was clear he was possessed; he pressed the gas pedal as if he wanted to floor it, ultimately leading to a serious car accident.
He met his end, while a bewildered Xiao Shuai suddenly received a call from Blonde Sister, asking him to come to her room. But as soon as he entered, he witnessed a horrifying scene.
In an instant, Blonde Sister spoke to Xiao Shuai in a familiar tone about childhood memories. As the camera shifted, she suddenly transformed into the likeness of Xiao Shuai's younger brother. At that moment, guilt and self-blame surged within him.
Xiao Shuai felt responsible for his brother's death and, influenced by these feelings, decided to hang himself to end it all.
Fortunately, while reviewing previous footage, Keiko finally noticed something amiss. It turned out that after returning from the haunted house that day, Blonde Sister had been possessed by a Demon.
Realizing what was wrong, Keiko hurried to Blonde Sister's room and managed to awaken Xiao Shuai, pulling him back from the brink of death.
It now seemed that the Demon lurked within the Blonde Sister during the day, only to emerge at night to seduce and kill one person after another.
Just as Xiao Shuai and Keiko were in a state of panic, news broke from a nearby swimming pool where a staff member had discovered a bloody corpse. The two rushed to the scene, only to find that the deceased was A Jay.
Watching their friends die one after another in such bizarre circumstances, it finally dawned on them that they should have listened to Keiko from the beginning and never entered that haunted house. Unfortunately, the tragedy had already occurred, and regretting it now was futile.
Their only option was to return to the haunted house and perform a ritual to send the Demon back, thus saving the lives of the remaining three.
As a descendant of Exorcists, Keiko decided to take the risk and perform the exorcism herself. Soon, the three of them drove to the haunted house. Just before confronting the Demon, Keiko made a farewell phone call to her mother.
In just a few words, she broke down in tears, fully aware that she had little chance of success.
Perhaps this would be her last conversation with her mother. After hanging up, she glanced aside and saw the old man who had appeared at the beginning of the movie; he was none other than Keiko's deceased grandmother.
It was her grandmother's spirit that had protected Keiko from harm before, and now that her granddaughter was in danger, even if Keiko didn't call for her, she would surely lend a hand. They then entered the haunted house.
The Blonde Sister lay in the position where they had summoned spirits before. As the ritual progressed, objects in the room began to stir wildly. Keiko recited exorcism incantations continuously, but her skills were too shallow; she was on the verge of collapsing when her grandmother appeared and possessed her, continuing to chant the exorcism spells.
Meanwhile, outside the door, Xiao Shuai kept an eye on what was happening inside. Suddenly, he noticed that the Blonde Sister's brainwaves had dropped to 0.0 megahertz again—this was precisely when spirits would appear.
Then Keiko grabbed a nearby doll and brought its hair close to the flame, intending to use it as leverage to force the female ghost to show herself.
Sure enough, this tactic proved effective; the ghost stopped pretending.
The stubborn female ghost declared that she wasn't done playing yet. Unable to communicate with her effectively, Keiko picked up Mugwort and began striking at her fiercely, causing the Blonde Sister to scream and emit clouds of white smoke.
However, at that moment, Keiko suddenly stopped her actions, and the Blonde Sister floated into the air before crashing down hard onto the ground.
Keiko continued to strike with the Mugwort, causing the Blonde Sister to fly up again, inadvertently knocking over the fire pit used for the ritual. This forced Grandma out of Keiko's body.
A gust of cold wind blew through, extinguishing the candles and plunging the room into darkness. Keiko quickly turned on her flashlight and discovered the Blonde Sister quietly sitting against the wall. The three of them hurried to escape, but Xiao Shuai was ensnared by the Demon’s hair.
By the time Keiko broke through the door, it was too late; things had spiraled out of control. Xiao Shuai was pulled into the Fire Pit by the Demon, where he found a doll that had been discarded by Zihao. In the final moment before being consumed by the hair, he pulled out his lighter and ignited the doll.
Xiao Shuai perished in the flames along with the Demon, while Keiko desperately called out his name, but received no response.
Just as she was about to give in to despair, Xiao Shuai miraculously appeared behind her, having survived amidst the raging fire.
The three of them, grateful to be alive, supported each other as they left.
During their time together, Keiko and Xiao Shuai developed feelings for each other and began an unabashed relationship.
While Xiao Shuai stepped out to take a phone call, Keiko idly browsed through his computer and accidentally stumbled upon a strange video. In it, a person was trapped in a narrow Fire Pit, shouting in despair. Upon closer inspection, Keiko gasped in shock—wasn't that person her own Xiao Shuai?
