I have been working at Wang Yun's coffee shop for a year and a half now. To me, Sister Yun is not just a boss; she feels like a neighborly older sister. Sister Yun is usually very dignified and kind, though she doesn't smile much.
However, that smile from earlier was quite strange.
I shook my head and decided not to dwell on it. As usual, I began to greet customers and prepare coffee.
After a busy evening, the last customer finally left around eight o'clock, and I could finally take a breather. Counting my earnings, I made over eighty yuan today, which wasn't bad. I planned to save up some money and then visit the Nanjing Confucius Temple to search for my grandfather's remains.
"Fei, come in for dinner," Sister Yun called from the back room.
I replied affirmatively; she often invited me to join her for late-night snacks when I worked late.
I closed the door behind me and walked toward the back of the coffee shop, which was a room of about twenty square meters where Sister Yun usually ate and lived.
"Sister Yun, thank you... uh..." I stepped inside, ready to express my gratitude, but suddenly stopped short in shock.
Sister Yun was wearing a sleeveless short dress that accentuated her long, fair legs as she served herself food.
What startled me was not just her alluring figure but the fact that she was wearing such a sheer dress—so short that I could almost see everything under the light!
This was completely out of character for Sister Yun. What on earth was going on with her today? Could it be... that she was feeling bold?
I swallowed hard, standing there unsure if I should step further inside.
"Come in already; dinner's ready," Sister Yun said, seemingly oblivious to how inappropriate her outfit was as she urged me to eat.
I felt a bit uncomfortable but still took a seat.
Sister Yun poured me a glass of red wine and clinked her glass with mine, urging me to drink. The wine was quite strong, but Sister Yun swirled her glass and downed half of it in one go.
I stared in disbelief. When did Sister Yun become so bold? Or had she always been this way, and I just hadn’t noticed?
While I was still pondering, Sister Yun held my glass to my lips, insisting that I finish it in one gulp.
I coughed a couple of times after drinking, choking on it.
Sister Yun laughed joyfully and poured me another glass.
Seeing her so happy, I relaxed and we shared another drink before starting our meal. “Sister Yun, why are you so cheerful today? Did something good happen?”
With a beaming smile, Sister Yun stood up and twirled around, her short skirt fluttering and revealing the lace-trimmed panties underneath. My lips felt dry just watching.
“Look at me! Isn’t my skin whiter and smoother?” she exclaimed.
I nodded. “That’s true. You’ve definitely become more beautiful since I last saw you.”
Sister Yun laughed happily. After a few more drinks, she went to her wardrobe and took out a face mask, applying it to her face. The mask was a reddish-brown color, looking as if it had been soaked in pig's blood.
Wearing the face mask, she patted her cheeks and said, “This is how I get beautiful… Now, let’s keep drinking.”
The mask left two eye holes, along with a nose and mouth; honestly, it looked quite strange to me. I wanted to suggest that she take it off until bedtime, but I figured it was her personal choice, so I didn’t interfere.
After a few more drinks, I started feeling dizzy. I wasn’t sure what was happening; all I knew was that by the end of the night, I found myself wrapped up with Sister Yun. We were sharing drinks, and she challenged me to a game of rock-paper-scissors—if she lost, she would take off her clothes.
Eventually, Sister Yun ended up completely undressed. We rolled off the sofa onto the floor and then onto the bed.
I swear that even though I had engaged in Yin Marriage with Lian before, I was definitely still a virgin.
I was really exhausted by Sister Yun. Her skills were exceptional; even though she wore a Face Mask, she still managed to entice me completely.
I had set up three times in a row, and I was so tired that I felt a bit dizzy. I quickly begged for mercy.
Sister Yun giggled, saying I had great potential.
I glanced at the time; it was already past eleven. I told Sister Yun that I needed to head back to school, or else I wouldn't make it back later.
Sister Yun agreed.
I hurriedly put on my clothes and left the café.
My head was spinning, not just from exhaustion but also because I had drunk a bit too much red wine.
Once outside the café, the cold wind hit me, and I felt more awake.
I shook my head and then chuckled to myself. I really hadn't expected this; I never thought I would shed the label of being a novice in relationships, especially not with Sister Yun.
From now on, if that fool Chi Xiang tries to mock me by calling me a novice, I can finally retort back.
I rubbed my nose and walked towards the school.
After being busy from eight until past eleven, I was utterly worn out.
Donghai University is a comprehensive university known for its openness. Even though it was past eleven, I could still occasionally see couples strolling under the moonlight.
Having a girlfriend is nice. It allows you to waste time openly.
I didn't think much of it as I hurried back to my dorm. For someone like me, who only goes to class or works part-time, there was neither time nor money to pursue a girlfriend.
"Thud, thud, thud..."
A flurry of footsteps approached, frantic and hurried.
I turned to the side and saw a shadowy figure racing towards me as if flying.
I was startled. Could it be a robbery? The security at Donghai University is quite good; I had never heard of anyone being robbed here.
As I pondered this, the shadow dashed right up to me, grabbing my arms tightly with both hands, causing pain to shoot through my limbs.
At that moment, I could see clearly that it was a woman, and I recognized her. She was my fellow townsfolk from the College of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry. Her name seemed to be Sun Mei; I had seen her at a gathering for our hometown.
I noticed Sun Mei was panting heavily, looking almost frantic. The key point was that her grip on my arms was so tight it felt like she might draw blood.
I quickly said, "Sun Mei? Is that you? What’s going on?"
Sun Mei paused, looking at me with relief. "You... you’re Song Fei? A fellow townsfolk?"
"Yes, that's right," I replied hastily, trying to pry her hands off my arms. "Even if we’re from the same hometown, you don’t need to be this worked up; you’re going to bruise me."
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Sun Mei loosened her grip slightly but still held onto my arms tightly. "Song Fei, can you... can you walk me back to the dorm? I'm terrified."
"Sure," I said.
I actually had a pretty good impression of Sun Mei. She wasn't the typical pretty girl, but she was lively and had a way of making people feel comfortable, always attentive to those around her.
At the hometown gathering, I was definitely among the least noticeable people there, not standing out at all and hardly speaking. Yet Sun Mei always made an effort to include those of us who were often overlooked.
As I walked Sun Mei toward the Girls' Dormitory, I asked, "What happened?"
Sun Mei kept pulling on my arm, and it wasn't until we were almost at the Girls' Dormitory that she dared to look back. Then she said, "I saw a ghost, really, right in our college's Laboratory Building."
"Uh..." If I had heard this before, I definitely wouldn't have believed it. However, after what happened with Lian, I wasn't so naive anymore. I replied, "How could there be a ghost in the Laboratory Building? Stop thinking about it. Just go back and get a good night's sleep. In the future, don't stay alone in the Laboratory Building late at night."
Sun Mei nodded and then sighed, "I don't want to go into the Laboratory Building alone either, but our Embryonic Cell Culture Experiment can't be interrupted. Everyone in our dorm is sick, so I have to guard the experiment by myself."
I stood at the bottom of the Girls' Dormitory and said, "You go up; I'll head back."
Sun Mei nodded but then shook her head, "Um, Song Fei, you're from the medical school, right? Why don't you take a look at the people in our dorm?"
I was about to refuse; as a sophomore, I only had a superficial understanding of traditional Chinese medicine. How could I diagnose anyone? But when I saw Sun Mei's eyes, it was clear she was filled with hope.
I realized that Sun Mei didn't really want me to treat them; she was scared and wanted me to accompany her back to the dorm.
I nodded and said, "Alright then, I hope the Dormitory Matron won't tie me up for being a wolf."
Sun Mei laughed, "Don't worry; our Dormitory Matron is already asleep."
Using her student ID card, Sun Mei opened the door to the Girls' Dormitory and walked in with me. It was very dark inside, and since it was an old building, the floor creaked under our feet as we walked—definitely a bit scary.
I escorted Sun Mei to the fifth floor, room 505.
Sun Mei pulled me into her dorm. Since I was already there, I might as well check on her roommates.
Sun Mei lived in a six-person room. Aside from her, the others were indeed lying in bed with fevers. After asking a few questions, I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Honestly, I wasn't good at diagnosing illnesses; otherwise, I would take them to see my teacher.
Sun Mei said that wouldn't be necessary and suggested they try taking some fever-reducing medicine instead. Then she patted her pocket and suddenly her expression changed. She looked at me and said, "Oh no, Song Fei! I left my phone in the Laboratory Building!"
I asked what kind of phone it was. If it was like mine—a 499 yuan Redmi—then there was no need to go back for it; those kinds of phones weren't worth stealing anymore.
Sun Mei was using a Huawei P9 Plus.
I thought for a moment; that phone cost over four thousand. If it got lost, Sun Mei would definitely be upset. So I said, "Forget it, I'll go to the Laboratory Building and get it for you."
Sun Mei immediately shook her head. Although she was worried about the phone, she held back her concern and said to me, "It's fine, Song Fei. Don't go to the Laboratory Building at this hour; it's really haunted there. If it gets lost, let it be; your life is more important."
The other girls in the dorm also urged me not to go.
With so many girls watching me, I suddenly felt like a hero. I smiled and said, "It's okay, I'm full of yang energy; even ghosts are afraid of me. Just give me the key to the Laboratory Building, and I'll go get it for you."
Sun Mei handed me the key and kept reminding me with countless warnings.
Holding the key, I headed towards the College of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry's Laboratory Building.
