The patient withdrew his arm as soon as he saw me enter. He glanced at me, let out a grunt, and said nothing. 0

I looked at the patient's face and felt a sense of disgust. He was rather unattractive, perhaps even lewd-looking. It seemed likely that he was the type to indulge in fantasies about beautiful women or had some sort of exhibitionist tendencies. No wonder he was so excited when Qin Yuan changed his bandages. 0

When Qin Yuan noticed me, she finished wrapping the gauze in her hands, stood up, and flashed me a flirtatious smile. 0

I was taken aback. 0

"Darling, just wait a moment," she said in a sweet, sultry voice, as if possessed by a seductive spirit. 0

I was startled. Had I encountered a ghost? 0

Qin Yuan turned on the faucet and carefully washed her hands before removing her mask, revealing her cute face. 0

She wasn't stunning, but her round face was quite charming, and she had a generous bust that was also round. Overall, she lived up to her name—round face, ample chest, and a curvy figure. 0

"Darling, I've been waiting for you for so long," Qin Yuan said as she approached me, grabbing my arm and giving my cheek a quick kiss. Then she began to unbutton her top. 0

"What... what are you doing?" I stammered. It truly felt like she had been possessed by some kind of seductive spirit. At that moment, she acted like an alluring vixen. However, I knew that despite being slightly younger than me, Qin Yuan was usually quite composed in her interactions. 0

Ignoring my question, Qin Yuan continued to unbutton her shirt. 0

I stood there in shock. 0

"Aren't you curious to taste me?" she teased, sticking out her tongue playfully. 0

I stuttered, staring foolishly at the soft white flesh revealed beneath her clothing. "I... how did you know? I... I was just thinking about it; I don't remember anything." 0

"Then come and taste," Qin Yuan cooed, her voice still sultry and dangerously enticing. 0

As soon as the words left her mouth, a painful cry erupted from the bed. The patient, clutching his brother, shouted loudly, and fresh blood began to seep from the bandage he had just changed. "Get lost... you two bitches! Ouch, it hurts so much!" 0

Qin Yuan quickly pulled up her clothes and feigned surprise. "Oh no, it’s come undone. You need to get it stitched again. I think you should call for the doctor and re-register. Come on, dear, we can't handle this problem; it's too serious." With that, Qin Yuan dragged me out. 0

Once outside, Qin Yuan burst into a triumphant laugh. 0

My face flushed with embarrassment as I suddenly realized I had been tricked. Damn it, Qin Yuan had done that on purpose! She was teasing me in front of the patient and had even unbuttoned her shirt to provoke him. If he got aroused after seeing that, the skin graft surgery he just had would likely be ruined... 0

Qin Yuan was clearly getting back at that patient. 0

But just now, it seemed like I had let my thoughts slip out. 0

Qin Yuan strutted ahead confidently until she suddenly stopped at a corner and turned to look at me. "Song Fei, what were you doing in the examination room just now?" 0

"I... I didn’t do anything. I was just playing along with your act," I stammered, my face burning. 0

Qin Yuan pouted slightly. "So... do you really want to eat?" 0

"I..." 0

"If you want to eat, just say so. I'll give you a chance." Qin Yuan winked at me. 0

"Really?" I chuckled. 0

"Just kidding! Haha! But add me on WeChat when we get home tonight; I might send you a few photos." Qin Yuan smiled smugly at me. 0

The younger generation these days is something else! 0

I sighed. "Alright, enough of this. We still have serious business to attend to. Can you help me disinfect and bandage the wound on my leg?" 0

Qin Yuan led me to another Dressing Room, skillfully wrapping my injuries. I couldn't help but notice that as she moved around in front of me, my eyes were drawn to her rounded chest. 0

Qin Yuan's attitude towards me had clearly improved. After applying a band-aid, she gently touched my face and said, "Song Fei, I can't believe this good student of mine knows how to fight." 0

I smiled slightly, but the cut on my lip throbbed with pain. Suddenly, a commotion erupted outside. Qin Yuan and I exchanged glances before hurriedly heading out. With the recent spate of medical incidents and disputes at the hospital, we needed to stay alert and protect ourselves. 0

Once outside, we saw a man in his forties holding a child in his arms, loudly pointing at an Old Doctor in front of him. "You're supposed to be an expert, a professor! Are you too busy flirting with female students and nurses? My son has just this minor illness, and you've been treating him for three months. Now he suddenly seems like he's dying! I think you're the one who should be worried about dying!" 0

The middle-aged man grew increasingly agitated, and the child in his arms began to cry weakly. 0

Nearby, some intern doctors rushed over to mediate the situation. I glanced at the Old Doctor; he was the Surgical Director, someone I actually liked as a substitute teacher during our anatomy classes. He was always kind and dedicated to both patients and students. 0

I quickly ran over, fearing that the man might become violent. 0

The Old Director adjusted his glasses. Despite being berated, he remained calm and said, "I'm sorry, but I'm truly limited in what I can do. Your son... I'm afraid I can't treat him anymore. I've already used the strongest Vancomycin available, but it hasn't had any effect. I'm very sorry." 0

"Is that all you have to say? Just 'I'm sorry'?" The middle-aged man shouted, tears streaming down his face. "Let me tell you something; I worked hard to have this son. If he dies, you might as well die too!" 0

I looked at the child in his arms and froze for a moment before stepping in front of the Old Director. 0

The child's gaze was dark and somewhat fierce; clearly, this was not just a simple fever infection—it was something sinister that had invaded him. 0

While most people wouldn't notice anything unusual, I could see the problem immediately. 0

I had already begun to piece things together. "Sir, please try to remain calm. You made mistakes yourself; there's no need to take it out on the doctor." 0

"What do you mean by that?" The middle-aged man glared at me. 0

The Old Director quickly pushed me aside, worried for my safety. "You students shouldn't interfere; this is a matter between me and the patient's family. You all should go back to your own duties." 0

I said, "Teacher Ma, you can't be blamed for this illness. I just need to have a word with this gentleman." 0

Behind me, Qin Yuan was also worried about me. She tugged at my sleeve and said, "Song Fei, what are you trying to prove?" 0

I waved my hand at Qin Yuan and walked over to the middle-aged man, whispering, "Sir, have you done something unethical recently, or perhaps come into contact with something dirty, like a coffin?" 0

The middle-aged man froze at my words, staring at me in disbelief. "Who are you? How do you know that?" 0

"I can cure your son's illness. Come with me; don't make things difficult for our director anymore. I'm sure you can see he's a good doctor," I replied quietly. 0

The middle-aged man glanced at the Old Director and nodded. "Alright, I believe you." 0

I turned to the Old Director and said, "Teacher Ma, I'm going out to talk with the patient's family. Don't worry; he has regained his composure. We'll be back soon." 0

Ma Wei, the Old Director, looked a bit concerned for me. 0

I waved my hand reassuringly and then walked outside with the middle-aged man. 0

Once we were outside the hospital and in the sunlight, the child in the man's arms cried even louder, wailing incessantly. Tears welled up in the man's eyes as he felt helpless. 0

"Let's go to your car. I need to check on the child's condition; he seems unable to tolerate sunlight," I suggested. 0

The middle-aged man nodded eagerly and led me to the garage. He opened the door of a Jeep for me to get in. 0

Soon after, he took off his son's shirt. "Look at this wound; it just won't heal. We've been treating it for three months with no results at all." 0

I examined the child's back. The boy was only one or two years old and couldn't speak yet. On his tender back was a wound that had become infected, emitting a foul odor. The wound was about the size of a thumb and shaped like... an eye! 0

I may not know the specifics of this illness, but I am certain it has something to do with ghosts, for I can see the malevolence in this child's eyes! 0

I asked, "Please tell me the details of how your child fell ill." 0

The middle-aged man seemed to trust me and began to share his story. He wiped away his tears and said, "It all started three months ago at an Antique Fair. I stumbled upon a Gold and Silver Longevity Lock. It was an exquisite antique, and I was immediately drawn to it. As a middle-aged father, I dote on my son, so I thought about buying that Gold and Silver Longevity Lock for him. However, the antique dealer wanted ten million for it, which was far too expensive for me. Unable to afford it, I... I stole it." 0

"Ah?" I looked at the man in confusion. 0

He seemed a bit embarrassed. "I hope you won't laugh at me, Divine Doctor. I used to be a thief; I had some notoriety in that line of work. But perhaps because of my past misdeeds, my wife suffered miscarriages whenever she became pregnant, or the children would die in the womb. Determined to turn my life around, I used my savings to start a courier service. Business has been decent, and I even help some poor people from time to time. To my surprise, after leaving that life behind, just a year ago when I turned forty, I finally had a son." 0

Listening to his story, I said, "One must believe in cause and effect." 0

The man nodded vigorously and sighed. "It's a pity that I stole that Longevity Lock. It really was beautiful. So, using my old tricks, I took the Gold and Silver Longevity Lock from that antique shop and put it on my son. But soon after, a pattern resembling an eye appeared on his back, and then it began to fester and ooze. We went to many hospitals and tried countless antibiotics, but nothing worked. Thinking it might be related to the Longevity Lock, I quietly returned it to the shop and even left ten thousand yuan for the owner. But... but my son is still not well..." 0

With that, the middle-aged man slapped his forehead repeatedly, crying out, "If my son dies, I won't be able to live either." 0
