Then, the soldier on the outer edge suddenly foamed at the mouth and turned to aim his weapon at us.
I grabbed a Corpse Fixing Talisman and pressed it against the soldier before pulling out the Azure Thunder Staff and swinging it at his Pigu.
With a howl of agony, a surge of black energy erupted from him, coalescing in the air into the form of a female ghost once again.
The sky grew even darker, the clouds thickening above. This valley was already gloomy, and now the sunlight was completely obscured, making it nearly impossible to see anything.

More zombies were approaching us!

"Of course," the old woman replied.
I listened to her words in disbelief. I couldn't believe she would let us go so easily. But then it dawned on me that if she killed Wen Fei, this Valley and Corpse Raising Ground would never be peaceful again. Countless soldiers would come searching for him; no matter how powerful she was, she wouldn't stand a chance against an army and would only be able to hide in the mountains.
It seemed the old woman was quite clever after all.
At that moment, the old woman continued, "Since we've reached an agreement, you can leave now. However, this one must stay! And his dog too..."

"You really won't leave!" The old woman's voice grew even more cruel as she stepped back. Two strong Blood Corpses moved to block her front. "Do you think I won't dare to kill you?"

However, there are some things I must do; it's a matter of righteousness!" Wen Fei shouted, and then he called out loudly, "Everyone, prepare your bayonets! Get ready for battle!"
"Yes!"
The soldiers around him all shouted in unison, the slaughter was about to begin.

I shouted as I struggled to get up, taking two laborious steps to the front of the line. "If I have to die, then so be it, Professor Wen. You take the others and leave; that's the best outcome."
As I finished speaking, I collapsed back onto the ground. I was too weak; even speaking was draining my energy. I continued, "Professor Wen, take everyone away and make sure Zhang Yuru is settled well. After you get out, you don't need to burn paper for me, but remember to set up a hero's monument in my name."
"Stop talking nonsense!" The old woman sneered. "Kill this one."
