"That means I can travel to various magical worlds. How should I make use of them?"
Traveling through different worlds?
Zhang Yi's expression was complex. Was this Li Hong's secret? It was indeed impressive.
After thinking for a moment, Zhang Yi replied earnestly, "If these are truly other worlds, then the premise is to better protect oneself. Therefore, seeking various powers is clearly more reliable."
"That's impossible. When I gained this ability, I already decided that I was destined not to cultivate," Li Hong immediately dismissed Zhang Yi's view.
This was actually a restriction imposed on him by the Supreme God.
Otherwise, with the G-Class he drove, traversing various worlds and plundering numerous cultivation materials would be no challenge at all. This also meant that as long as Li Hong was willing, his cultivation could advance at a rocket-like speed.
To prevent such a situation from occurring, the Main God Space's new rules directly severed his path to cultivation.
Thus, Zhang Yi's suggestion could only be considered but was ultimately unattainable—like flowers in a mirror or the moon reflected in water.
Li Hong's outright rejection of this proposal did not surprise Zhang Yi. As long as Li Hong wasn't foolish, he would definitely have thought of this idea himself. Zhang Yi merely threw it out there to spark further discussion.
"Since this path is not feasible, we can only explore other options," Zhang Yi said thoughtfully.
Li Hong's eyes brightened as he asked, "What other options? What else is there?"
"Well, I wanted to ask a question earlier. Do you want to achieve things in those worlds, or is your focus always on the real world?" Zhang Yi fixed his gaze on Li Hong and inquired.
Li Hong pondered for a moment; there was really no hesitation about this question.
Although those mission worlds had provided him with immense help, his focus had always been on the real world. That had never changed.
"That's good," Zhang Yi smiled and then reminded him, "Since we're in the real world, it’s natural to plunder things from other worlds to help ourselves. For example, anything that is useful to you can be taken..."
And just like that, Zhang Yi continued to speak for quite some time...
Li Hong regretted it; he began to doubt his own judgment.
With someone like Zhang Yi, what valuable suggestions could he possibly offer? Simply put, it was just a collection of clichés strung together.
"Modify the player code and erase Zhang Yi's memory."
A flash of white light, and Zhang Yi looked at Li Hong, who was rubbing his head, unable to grasp what had just happened.
"Alright, I'm leaving now. You just need to report to Sweet Potato Film Company tomorrow."
With that, Li Hong left Zhang Yi's law firm without looking back.
"Oh!" Zhang Yi replied blankly, a bit surprised. It felt like he had just spoken with Li Hong, yet somehow it was already late at night.
After leaving Zhang Yi's place, Li Hong glanced around but didn’t go upstairs to his rented room. Instead, he wandered aimlessly down the street under the night sky.
It had been over a week since he became part of the Main God Space.
During this time, Li Hong's most immediate feeling was that his once peaceful life had been completely transformed.
"What are you thinking about?" 404 poked its head out from Li Hong's hair and asked.
"You’re awake?"
Li Hong was somewhat surprised that this peculiar creature also needed sleep.
"Yeah, I woke up and saw you having a breakdown..." 404 teased.
Li Hong's expression darkened as he snapped back, "Enough already! If you have something to say, spit it out; I'm annoyed!"
404 understood and replied sympathetically, "Got it, got it. Teenage emotions are always so unpredictable and without warning."
"..."
"Dammit, I'm already done with this. What the hell is puberty?" With 404's teasing, Li Hong felt much better and even managed a smile.
Before 404 could continue mocking Li Hong about puberty, a woman's low cry came from a dark corner in the distance.
"Help!"
"Stop screaming. It's the middle of the night; who the hell has time to help you? Just listen to your brother..."
"No, go away!"
Li Hong raised an eyebrow. Why was there always someone like this causing trouble?
And what a coincidence! He had never encountered anything like this before, and now he just happened to stumble upon it.
Though he felt speechless, Li Hong wasn't the type to ignore someone in need.
Even though he knew it probably wouldn't lead to anything good, he still secretly hoped.
Hopefully, this was just some couple engaging in a role-playing game for their own amusement.
Li Hong quietly approached the bushes where the voice was coming from, lowering his footsteps as he stealthily made his way in.
"Swish!"
As he parted the branches, he saw a man and a woman striking a rather compromising pose, with the man just unbuckling his belt.
(?*??)?╰ひ╯
The three of them stared at each other in shock. The man cursed under his breath; how could there be passersby at this hour?
Compared to the man's look of despair, the girl's expression was much more favorable.
At that moment, encountering a kind-hearted person truly felt like luck for her. After all, this street belonged to the old city area, where most residents were elderly.
The streets were generally deserted at this hour, with the young few and the elderly turning in early. It was a time when silence reigned, and the emptiness was palpable.
So, when she found herself being dragged into the nearby woods by a man who had covered her mouth, despair flooded her heart.
But now, in that moment of hopelessness, a glimmer of light suddenly illuminated her will to survive.
Good Samaritan, you will be rewarded!
"Hey, can I join in too?" Li Hong said, rubbing his hands together as he approached the man who was clearly the kidnapper.
"…"
The woman had a retort ready to burst forth.
Where was that good Samaritan now? Why had he turned into a supply drop for the kidnapper?
It was evident that the kidnapper was taken aback by Li Hong's bizarre suggestion.
What on earth was happening?
The reason was quite simple. Li Hong had decent eyesight and easily caught sight of the woman in the dim light.
She was quite pretty, with long braids cascading down her back. She wore a blue off-shoulder dress adorned with fluffy pom-poms, which Li Hong found rather appealing.
So, it wasn’t too surprising that he would make such an outrageous proposal.
"Fine, after I’m done having my fun, I’ll let you have a turn," the kidnapper replied, unsure of what to make of Li Hong's intentions and opting for a noncommittal response.
"What? You go first?" Li Hong's face flushed red with indignation.
The kidnapper’s eyes narrowed dangerously as he brandished a spring knife that glinted ominously in the moonlight, slashing toward Li Hong's neck.
"What the hell! You’re ambushing me!"
Li Hong was drenched in cold sweat, quickly dodging the deadly strike.
Furious and embarrassed, Li Hong's forehead burned with anger as he swung the Qilin Arm, a relic of a writer who had been single for twenty years, and slapped down hard.
It was unclear whether the Qilin Arm had grown stronger or if the kidnapper was simply too weak.
In any case, when Li Hong's hand came down, blood spurted from the kidnapper's mouth and nose as he incredulously exclaimed, "Your slap... smells of blood..."
In his rage, the kidnapper fainted on the spot.
Li Hong leaned in to take a closer look and confirmed that he was indeed unconscious.
Wasn't it normal for a slap to smell of blood? After all, countless lives had been lost under this hand of mine.
