The shock brought to the audience by Block Villa was far from over. Behind the blocks, a woman who had been crouching suddenly stood up and leaped out from behind the blocks.
"Hey, Little Red Riding Hood has arrived! Come on, let Grandma take a look. Has your cup size increased? I just bought some papaya today to help you out," the woman said with a smile.
On her smiling face, a few crooked black letters stood out prominently.
Xia Shengyang looked closely and finally recognized that it read "I am Grandma."
"Pfft..."
Clearly, one of the audience members couldn't hold back and sprayed soda everywhere.
"This... this is ridiculous!" Xia Shengyang was dumbfounded, completely at a loss for how to describe what he was witnessing.
It had all seemed fine just moments ago, but in the blink of an eye, it had turned into a terrible movie.
The group of Masked Men had completely lost their composure.
Even though they had filmed countless movies, they had never seen anything this chaotic before.
"Nonsense, this is simply outrageous!" Director Feng was furious.
He prided himself on his meticulous approach to filmmaking and could not tolerate even the slightest flaw. This represented his commitment to the art of cinema, and at that moment, seeing Sweet Potato Films so blatantly disrespecting what he considered art made him seethe with anger.
The plot did not pause due to the audience's shock; in fact, on the screen, Little Red Riding Hood pouted and complained, "Grandma, that's so annoying! You know I'm just a 'a,' yet you keep bringing it up."
She even stomped her foot like a girl throwing a tantrum.
Then, before the incredulous eyes of the entire audience, the Block Villa behind Grandma suddenly collapsed with a loud crash.
Xia Shengyang thought: "..."
He could no longer describe his feelings about watching this film; there was only one thought in his mind: Is it too late to get a refund?
The villa collapsed, and Red Hat and Grandma exchanged wide-eyed glances. Then, as if nothing had happened, they pretended not to see it.
"Red Hat, I've told you so many times, don't wear a green hat!" Grandma said softly as she removed the green hat from Red Hat's head.
Red Hat looked puzzled and asked, "Why can't I wear it?"
"Because the green hat possesses incredible power, enough to change the world. Without strong willpower, you won't be able to bear that power."
Red Hat pouted and replied sulkily, "Grandma, you're lying. Grandpa used to wear a green hat all the time; why didn't he have any great power?"
Grandma's smile froze for a moment as she awkwardly said, "That's because your grandpa was very low-key. If he could, he would have unleashed his power of forgiveness to forgive the whole world."
"Wow, so Grandpa is that strong!" Red Hat's eyes sparkled like a fan encountering their idol.
Grandma gently stroked Red Hat's hair and smiled, "Just know that, but don't go around telling everyone. Your grandpa is naturally low-key; we can't let others know he has the power of forgiveness."
"Mm-hmm!" Red Hat nodded vigorously, her face full of determination.
After finishing this conversation, Grandma asked Red Hat, "So, how did your blind date go today?"
Red Hat frowned, clearly unhappy.
"No way! I don't like Ye Liangchen."
"What happened? Was he mean to you?" Grandma asked curiously.
"No, he was really nice to me. He bought me lollipops and even took me to see goldfish. But I just don't know why I don't like him."
Grandma was quite angry and said, "You don’t like this one or that one; what do you actually like? Ye Liangchen is one thing—his family isn’t well off. But what about Long Ao? His conditions are so good; why aren’t you satisfied?"
Red Hat shrank her head back and didn’t dare to respond.
Seeing Little Red Riding Hood like this, Grandma couldn't help but scold, "You silly girl, why are you being so stubborn? That Long Ao drives an Audi Twin Diamond, lives in a Lego Villa, and wears nothing but Pampers. He eats only Mead Johnson and Abbott..."
"But I just don't like him..." Little Red Riding Hood muttered.
Grandma's eyes narrowed, and she coldly asked, "Little Red Riding Hood, tell me honestly, do you have a boyfriend?"
Little Red Riding Hood instantly felt embarrassed and didn't dare to respond.
With a disdainful snort, Grandma said, "I don't care about your feelings. Anyway, without an Audi Twin Diamond and a Lego Villa, don't even think about stepping into our house."
With that, Grandma turned around and left gracefully, leaving Little Red Riding Hood standing there alone and helpless.
...
"Wow, not bad!" Xia Shengyang was somewhat surprised; this film was actually quite good.
Although the Lego references were a bit of a joke, putting that aside, the entire film was still commendable.
"Putting aside the parody aspect, it's at least above passing grade," Xia Shengyang commented honestly.
Unfortunately, his remarks were overheard by several Masked Men in the front row.
Hearing Xia Shengyang's evaluation of the film nearly made Director Feng explode with anger.
This was clearly a piece of garbage with no sincerity whatsoever; how could it receive such praise?
"The audience is getting worse and worse," he muttered under his breath.
He simply couldn't understand why such an awful movie could still garner such positive reviews.
In light of this incomprehensible situation, all he could conclude was that the audience had become utterly ridiculous.
Xia Shengyang furrowed his brows, his opinion of the group plummeting to an all-time low.
"To hell with those pathetic viewers! If they can't shoot well themselves, why envy others who can? They're just like that self-absorbed director," Xia Shengyang muttered indignantly.
What’s wrong? You think it’s pathetic? I like it, so what are you going to do about it?
Ignoring the clearly envious Masked Men, Xia Shengyang turned his attention back to the screen, focusing intently on the movie.
The plot developed quickly; Grandma began to suspect that Little Red Riding Hood had a boyfriend outside. So, she sought out her old flame, Hunter Old Wang.
Old Wang was a professional private detective, nicknamed "The Hunter." He was also Grandma's old flame.
Upon receiving Grandma's plea for help, Hunter Old Wang quickly began to investigate Little Red Riding Hood's every move.
At this moment, the character of the Big Bad Wolf, played by Soulmate, appeared on the screen.
The Big Bad Wolf, wearing a children's mask, naturally sparked a new wave of ridicule from the audience.
"What the hell? How poor is this production team? Using a mask is one thing, but can’t they at least buy a decent one?"
"Seriously! This mask is just too ridiculous!"
Xia Shengyang wasn’t as angry; he simply felt a deep sympathy for this pitiful production team.
How tragic must it be for them to resort to such measures!
In such circumstances, managing to complete the film was truly a touching story.
The story continued to unfold, and soon it reached the scene where Little Red Riding Hood brought the Big Bad Wolf to meet Grandma.
Standing outside the incredibly luxurious Lego Villa, Little Red Riding Hood said gloomily, "Wolf, my grandma can be really hurtful with her words. You..."
"I'm not bothered by much; I can take a lot of pressure. Even if she laughs at me, I won't care," the Big Bad Wolf said nonchalantly.
"But I'm still very worried. Her words can be quite venomous! If you dare to come to my house, she'll break every bone in your body!" Little Red Riding Hood said anxiously.
The Big Bad Wolf smiled slightly, pressing his hands on Little Red Riding Hood's shoulders, and said in a deep voice, "A person has 206 bones. The moment the wind lifts your skirt, I have 207. Your grandmother won't be able to break these 207 bones of mine."
Little Red Riding Hood's expression grew even more troubled.
"But you... you're not human!"
The Big Bad Wolf: "..."
He suddenly felt like saying something inappropriate. Should he?
