"From now on, you cannot leave our sight. Wherever you go, we will follow," Li Hong said calmly.
This was also a reluctant measure; Li Hong couldn't completely restrict Glen's movements and could only choose to compromise in this way.
"What? Does that mean I have to take you guys with me even to the bathroom?" Glen asked in shock.
The thought of squatting on the toilet while being accompanied by four burly men made Glen feel a tightening sensation.
These guys wouldn't be interested in men, would they?
Soulmate replied irritably, "You wish! We'll just wait outside the bathroom while you do your business."
"Oh, oh, that's good, that's good." For some reason, Glen suddenly felt a wave of relief wash over him.
He hadn't even married Rose yet; how could he possibly give himself up to these guys?
Unlike Glen's crude demeanor, Rose got up from the ground and looked at Li Hong with a cold gaze.
"Who are you people? Why are you following Glen?"
"You don't need to worry about who we are. And don't worry, we won't harm Glen," Li Hong replied earnestly.
"Hmph, why would I worry about him? I'm worried that you mysterious people will bring us trouble."
"Uh... there will definitely be some trouble..." Li Hong answered with less confidence.
Zhao Xin stepped back in disbelief and asked, "What the hell? Is there really trouble? You guys didn't provoke some big shot and come looking for refuge, did you?"
Li Hong gave an awkward smile and chose not to explain further.
Seeing Li Hong like this, Rose's gaze turned even colder as she frowned and asked, "You all don't seem weak. Who exactly have you gotten involved with?"
Reina, who had been silent until now, spoke up and asked, "You haven't gotten involved with Morgana or Divine Kaisa, have you?"
"Morgana? Divine Kaisa? Who are they?" Soul Sphere scratched his head in confusion.
Reina was taken aback. Where did these people come from that they didn't even know who Divine Kaisa and Morgana were?
If Li Hong and the others were just ordinary people, Reina could understand. But they clearly looked like super warriors with divine power; how could they not know about Divine Kaisa and Morgana?
"Then who are you hiding from?" Reina asked curiously.
There were countless powerful beings in the universe, but Li Hong didn't seem like an easy target. If they weren't afraid of Divine Kaisa and Morgana, who else could they be afraid of?
"A guy called Nightmare," Li Hong said vaguely.
He knew that discussing Nightmare Space with Reina and the others was pointless, so he didn't elaborate further.
"Nightmare?" The others looked puzzled. Was there really someone by that name in the universe?
"Alright, don't worry about that. We'll just stay close to Glen for a while; we won't cause you any major trouble."
"Why hide near Glen? Can he deal with the Nightmare you're talking about?" Zhao Xin asked in confusion.
Soulmate picked his nose nonchalantly and replied, "He's a strong one. We need his powerful aura to conceal our own. You wouldn't understand the rest. Just remember that Glen's aura can perfectly hide us, and that's all that matters."
"Delicious," he said, sucking his fingers.
A moment of silence fell over the group, unsure how to respond to Soulmate's words.
Glen shrugged nonchalantly. "Fine, you can follow me, but just don't interfere with my dealings with Oni. Everything else is up to you."
"Oni? What is that?" Li Hong asked curiously.
This world seemed like an apocalyptic realm; how could there be so many strange entities?
Glen shot Li Hong a glance, and the others chose not to explain, leaving the area instead.
Reina and the others understood that these mysterious individuals seemed to know very little about anything. Explaining things to them would be like playing music to a cow.
Li Hong exchanged glances with Soulmate and felt no embarrassment as they hurried to catch up with Glen.
...
Inside a tent in the barracks, Glen sat on the edge of his bed, looking at the four heads peeking out from under it. He sighed, "What exactly is this Nightmare that has you all so scared? Come out; it's not like there aren't beds here."
Li Hong shook his head, rejecting Glen's invitation. "Don't try to tempt us; you have no idea how terrifying the Nightmare Deity is."
Just then, Zhao Xin, clad in black armor, entered the tent and shook his head. "I think you all are quite brave. No matter how strong a nightmare is, it can only lead to death. Why be so afraid?"
"Hey, lunch just arrived. Do you want to eat some?"
Seeing the food in Zhao Xin's hands, Soul Mix couldn't help but reach out. But as soon as he did, Soulmate slapped him on the forehead.
"Eat, eat, eat, that's all you know how to do."
"Chief, don't hit me! I'm just bringing this for Boss," Soul Mix said, holding his head in a defensive gesture.
Soulmate paused and turned to Li Hong, asking, "Boss, are we eating or not?"
"Of course we're eating. Supreme God hasn't replied yet; who knows how long we have to hide? We can't go without food," Li Hong replied.
So the four of them crouched under Glen's bed, happily munching on their rations.
"Take your time, don't rush."
Glen handed Soulmate a bottle of water and frowned. "I heard you all talking; how come you know nothing about the outside world?"
"We never understood it in the first place, nor do we need to," Li Hong mumbled through a mouthful of food.
"Uh... well, your place is quite secluded," Glen chuckled.
"What are you talking about? We're not from this world at all, so naturally, we don't know anything about it."
"What?"
Zhao Xin and Glen stood up in unison, exclaiming together.
"Not from this world? How is that possible?"
"You all..."
Glen looked at the four disheveled individuals for a while before asking, "So where are you from?"
"Blue Star!"
Li Hong took a sip of water and explained, "It's a place similar to your planet, but we haven't experienced any apocalypse there; everything is still the same as usual."
"What the hell, is that for real?" Zhao Xin asked incredulously. "Is there really such a thing as parallel worlds?"
Li Hong shook his head. "No, no, no. Our world is not a parallel world to yours. Or rather, that concept is completely wrong. In my understanding, Blue Star should be an independent and complete world. As for your world, it should be a virtual world."
"What is a virtual world?" Glen frowned and asked.
"Simply put, it's a world that doesn't exist. Your world is likely a virtual reality created by some powerful being based on their imagination," Li Hong explained.
