"Come in, what are you sneaking around for?"
Reina said lightly while grooming herself by the bedside.
Li Hong knew she couldn't hide from this so-called Light of the Sun; after all, she was a goddess. It was nearly impossible to approach her without making a sound.
Seeing Li Hong enter the tent, Reina curiously asked, "What brings you here? Aren't you following Glen?"
Rising to her feet, Reina wondered what these people were thinking. They were all glued to Glen, not going anywhere. If it weren't for Glen still having feelings for Rose, she would have thought they were up to some embarrassing antics in the house.
"I'm not following him anymore; I came to ask for your help," Li Hong replied with a grin.
"What kind of help? Just so you know, I won't be helping you with any... inappropriate activities. That kind of disgusting stuff is off the table," Reina said, crossing her arms with interest.
Li Hong explained with a smile, "We've been hiding for so long that we can finally go back now. We came to ask if you could give us a ride."
"Me? Give you a ride?"
Reina pointed at herself and scoffed, "How do you expect me to do that? Blast you back with Solar Flare?"
Soul Sphere scratched his head and said, "You know what we want; we just want you to blast us back."
Looking at the group who nodded in agreement, Reina couldn't help but smirk in disbelief. "Have you all lost your minds? That thing sends you to the afterlife, not home."
Li Hong said confidently, "Don't worry about the details; we have our reasons for doing this. Trust me, a little Solar Flare won't take us out."
Reina glanced at Li Hong, and after confirming he wasn't joking, she asked seriously, "Are you guys serious?"
"Of course! Who would joke about this?" Li Hong retorted.
With that, Li Hong grabbed Reina and the group soared into the atmosphere.
Reina provided them with energy, but they couldn't operate on Earth. The life on Earth was too fragile; if Reina wasn't careful, it could lead to irreparable damage.
...
Near Pluto, inside a spatial transmission device.
A soldier from the Gluttonous Legion was reporting to his armored commander.
"General, we detected the energy fluctuations of the solar light Reina."
The Mecha Commander turned around and asked, "What the hell is Reina doing? I told you to keep an eye on that dog, not to watch Reina."
Then, sensing something was off, he inquired further, "By the way, where is Reina?"
"Near Mercury! She's with those mysterious individuals."
The Mecha Commander asked in surprise, "What is Reina doing there? Let's go check it out."
The soldier hesitated for a moment and then stammered, "General, what about... that dog?"
"Uh..."
Just the thought of that destructive mad dog made the Mecha Commander shudder.
Who knows where Zhao Xin got such a deadly weapon! They had already captured most of Giant Gorge City, but as soon as Zhao Xin gave the order, their ships were torn to pieces.
"Retreat, I'm unleashing the dog!"
This was Zhao Xin's exact words, and it became the most dreaded phrase for the Gluttonous Legion.
During the recent Great Canyon Battle, they had gained the upper hand countless times, but each time, with Zhao Xin's words, a mad dog would burst forth.
That dog was truly insane; it bit everything in sight. The key was that the Gluttonous Legion had no way to control this beast.
Thinking about this, the Mecha Commander touched the damaged scar on his mech's back, his expression gloomy.
"What about my Divine Karl?"
A soldier trembled as he spoke, "My Divine Karl ordered us to evacuate the galaxy. The divine being also told me to inform you that it's as if ultimate fear has arrived ahead of schedule."
"..."
The Mecha Commander felt speechless inside. That dog could even take down my Divine Karl?
To be honest, Zhao Xin's dog wasn't that strong; at least Morgana's Demon's Claw could catch it. But catching it was useless; once it was let go, it would spell disaster.
Mecha Commander had once captured this dog, but just as he placed it in a cage capable of imprisoning gods, that cage… was bitten apart!
“Forget it, forget it. Let’s not act rashly. I’ll consult Divine Karl first before dealing with this dog,” Mecha Commander said with a headache.
It was all that damned dog’s fault; they didn’t dare to stick their heads out of Pluto Base. Once they did, they would have to face that crazy dog.
The mad dog wouldn’t bite people; at most, it would just tear their clothes and equipment to shreds. But they were not like the Demon Legion, which had explosive hard power. Without weapons and gear, they couldn’t even defeat a mere Earthling.
After some thought, Mecha Commander decided to abandon the idea of going out to see the commotion. It was too dangerous outside; better to hide in Pluto Base.
Meanwhile, Morgana was overseeing the progress of the Demon Soldier shipbuilding.
All the spaceships had been bitten apart, leaving Morgana in a position where she needed Ato to pilot a craft for her to go anywhere.
The once-mighty Demon Ship had become a relic of the past. Now, Morgana’s Demon Legion faced the embarrassing situation of not even having a means of transportation.
Reluctantly, Morgana had no choice but to gather a group of Demon Soldier and hide in a corner of Earth, quietly starting to build ships. She hoped that one day they could restore their former glory.
Outside the atmosphere, without Morgana’s Demon Legion and the Gluttonous Legion, space felt unusually empty.
The original satellites and artificial bodies had mostly been cleared away by Oni and Morgana. This led to Li Hong flying through without encountering a single enemy.
“You’ve done something good; with that dog around, at least the Gluttonous Legion and Morgana will be quiet for a while,” Reina remarked.
Li Hong turned to glance at Reina, smiled, and chose not to explain further.
Relying on that dog to protect the Earth is nonsense. The reason that dog is so helpless now is simply due to the technological disparity between the two worlds.
That dog utilizes genetic biotechnology, and once the Gluttonous Legion and Morgana crack this technology, there will be no deterrent power left.
However, knowing this doesn't mean Li Hong told Reina. For him, this world is ultimately just a stopover; what it becomes has nothing to do with him.
From another perspective, if Morgana and the others manage to crack that dog, it could restore this world to its original state. This is what Li Hong hopes for; after all, he initially only wanted to extend that dog's life, and how it ended up like this was entirely an accident.
Arriving in the void of space, Li Hong released Reina's hand and said in a deep voice, "You can start now. Use your Solar Flare to bombard them; just attack towards us."
"Is it really okay?" Reina raised her right hand, asking with confusion amidst the orange light.
