After the competition ended, Li Hong took Yuchen back to the company.
At Fist Game, the competition had already gotten on track, so there was no need for Li Hong to keep a close watch anymore. On the other hand, Sweet Potato Films still required Li Hong, the captain, to oversee things more closely.
Regarding copyright operations, Yuewen Group had already agreed. The current issue for Sweet Potato was that they had yet to discuss and find a suitable candidate to guide the filming.
Lu Mao could participate to some extent, but he alone couldn't possibly guide ten different productions.
Moreover, Lu Mao was just an ungraduated student from Beijing Film Academy; he didn't have the capability to direct so many different types of projects.
Additionally, some of these were television drama projects. Lu Mao had made one or two films and had some insights into filmmaking. However, he still struggled with television dramas.
When Charlie informed Li Hong that Sweet Potato Films needed to expand its staff, Li Hong felt overwhelmed.
To be fair, Sweet Potato wasn't that large in scale at this point. After all, the film and television industry isn't particularly labor-intensive; generally, it doesn't require a large number of employees.
These people in the company would need salaries. The payroll for one hundred employees is vastly different from that of one thousand employees.
Currently, Sweet Potato had no affiliation with Fist Game; Sweet Potato was Sweet Potato, and Fist Game was Fist Game. While Fist Game was rolling in wealth, it had nothing to do with Sweet Potato Films.
After Fist Game was established, there was also Penguin as a shareholder. If he wanted to use Fist Game's funds to support Sweet Potato Films, that would be illegal.
Thus, if Sweet Potato Films ran into financial trouble, they would have to find a way out on their own.
Expanding the staff didn't seem problematic at first glance. However, if Sweet Potato Films faced a new project failure like Loser that resulted in significant losses, then the expenses for so many employees would become a huge burden.
"Let me think!" Li Hong said while rubbing his head as he spoke to Charlie.
This decision couldn't be made hastily; it required careful consideration.
"Boss, don't think of it as a bad thing. Launching so many projects at once is quite a bold move. If it were an ordinary Film Company, they wouldn't dare to do this," Charlie said casually.
This wasn't just empty talk; Sweet Potato was indeed making a significant move by initiating so many projects at once. Most Film Companies without substantial backing wouldn't even consider it.
Even those large Film Companies, the well-established enterprises, wouldn't take such risks.
Doing this required a considerable amount of funding. With so many projects, the number of crew members needed would exceed that of ten Sweet Potato Films employees combined.
"What about the crews? Even if we hire on the spot, it seems like we won't make it in time," Lu Mao chimed in.
He had had enough of the Soul Clan crew; if he could find suitable crew members, he would be more than eager.
But as someone in the industry, Lu Mao knew that newly hired people wouldn't be ready to work immediately. Without some training, those fresh hires might not be as efficient as the Soul Clan crew.
"Let's not worry about that for now. We haven't even finalized the specific rights or produced a single script; it's too early to discuss these things," Li Hong shook his head.
"In that case, should I go talk to Yuewen? At least we can secure the rights first; we can take our time with the rest," Charlie suggested thoughtfully.
"Let's do that. Charlie, you go ahead and negotiate. As long as the price isn't too high, we'll take it," Li Hong finally decided.
After discussing these matters, Charlie and the others immediately bid farewell to Li Hong and left.
In Li Hong's office, only he and Loli Li Yuchen remained.
He patted Loli and sighed deeply, feeling overwhelmed.
Currently, his only ventures were Sweet Potato Films and Fist Game. The latter was running smoothly, so there wasn't much for Li Hong to worry about there. However, Sweet Potato was barely profitable and faced numerous issues.
"Uncle, what are you thinking about?" Yuchen asked curiously, looking up at him.
Li Hong smiled as he ruffled Loli's hair, helplessly saying, "Uncle is troubled about how to earn money to buy Yuchen a lollipop!"
"Uncle, you're lying. You've never bought me a lollipop," Yuchen pouted, looking at him with disdain.
Li Hong felt instantly embarrassed; he had only meant to tease the child. He hadn’t actually bought Loli a lollipop before.
"Yuchen, be good. Uncle will buy you a lollipop later, okay?" With no other choice, Li Hong resorted to coaxing Yuchen.
Sure enough, upon hearing that Li Hong would buy her a lollipop soon, Yuchen's face lit up with joy.
"Uncle is so nice! If you give me a lollipop, I’ll give you something too!"
"What is it?" Li Hong asked casually.
He didn’t take Yuchen’s words seriously; after all, she was just a girl. What could she possibly give him? He hoped it wasn’t something inappropriate; otherwise, he would really be at a loss for words.
Unexpectedly, Yuchen wrinkled her nose and rummaged through her pocket, pulling out a piece of paper.
"Uncle, this drawing that Bald Uncle gave me is for you."
Yuchen tossed the paper into Li Hong's hands with a cheerful smile.
Li Hong took it and was momentarily stunned.
This wasn’t the drawing Yuchen had mentioned; it was clearly a blueprint for some intricate machinery!
The problem was that Li Hong wasn’t knowledgeable in this area at all. Even though he recognized it as a blueprint, he couldn’t guess what it was for.
All he could discern from the shape of the machinery was that it resembled something like a helmet.
Li Hong was curious about the drawing that Bald Uncle had casually handed to Yuchen. Who exactly was this person? Such a detailed blueprint must have taken considerable effort to create, yet it was just tossed to a girl.
"Yuchen, who is this Bald Uncle?" Li Hong asked, holding the drawing.
"Huh, Uncle, don't you remember? During the time you were away, Bald Uncle was always at our house," Yuchen replied, puzzled.
"The Supreme God?" Li Hong was completely taken aback.
Yuchen had been by his side almost constantly; they rarely spent time apart. The period he was away must have been when he took Soulmate and others into Nightmare Space for a mission. The only person who had shown up during that time with a distinct bald head characteristic could only be the Supreme God.
"What the hell, this blueprint must be something extraordinary!" Li Hong thought in astonishment.
The Supreme God was the master of Main God Space, a being capable of effortlessly annihilating worlds. Any blueprint obtained from him would undoubtedly be far from simple.
