The reason it hasn’t been released yet is that our company is still negotiating with these media outlets. This kind of thing is very common; usually, when they get some scoop about an artist, they will notify their agency first.”
“Since your company has already contacted them, why not just settle this matter directly? It shouldn’t be difficult for you,” Li Hong asked in confusion.
Sister Wang frowned and said, “You don’t understand. The reason these media outlets inform the agency is simply to demand benefits in exchange for delaying the publication. Once the time is right, they will still release the news.”
"Then why do you have to spend money if you still need to make a statement?" Li Hong was even more confused.
If spending money could prevent the release of the press article, then it wouldn't be a problem to spend a little. But since spending money couldn't settle the matter, and at most could only delay the news from breaking, what was the point?
"The delay is just to give these agencies time to come up with a countermeasure. Otherwise, if the news breaks suddenly, we wouldn't be able to react at all."
