Li Hong had just reached an agreement with Yuchen regarding candy and snacks when Lin Zhengfeng approached.
"Lin Ruxian, go help your mom serve the dishes; it's time to eat," Lin Zhengfeng said with a smile.
Lin Ruxian didn’t refuse; she nodded and walked toward the kitchen.
After Lin Ruxian left, Lin Zhengfeng looked at Yuchen, who was being held by Li Hong like a tree kangaroo, unsure whether he felt envy or jealousy.
"Li Hong, how about you let us take care of Yuchen for a while?" Lin Zhengfeng suggested tentatively.
Li Hong paused for a moment before shaking his head. "Dad, that wouldn’t be appropriate. You and Mom aren’t that young anymore; I feel a bit embarrassed letting you take care of a child."
Lin Zhengfeng frowned and lectured, "What’s embarrassing about it? You all are busy with work; can Yuchen really be taken care of well?"
Just as Li Hong was about to retort, Yuchen poked her head out from Li Hong's embrace and sweetly said, "Grandpa, Yuchen wants to be with Mommy and Daddy."
"Alright, alright, be with Mommy and Daddy," Lin Zhengfeng replied with a wry smile upon hearing Yuchen's words.
Li Hong gave Yuchen an encouraging look, feeling relieved inside.
In this kind of pretense, Li Hong truly felt uneasy about leaving Yuchen in the care of Lin Zhengfeng and his wife.
If Li Hong and Lin Ruxian were genuinely together and Yuchen was indeed their child, then it wouldn’t matter to leave her with Lin Zhengfeng. Lin Zhengfeng shook his head and said, "Lin Ruxian has filming and commercials to do, and you’re busy too. It would be better for us to help take care of the kids."
Just then, after Lin Zhengfeng finished speaking, Lin Ruxian walked out. The kitchen was not far from the living room, and as she brought a plate of dishes out, she overheard Lin Zhengfeng's words.
After placing a stack of cucumber salad on the table, Lin Ruxian said to Lin Zhengfeng, "Dad, don’t worry about this. I’ve already talked to Sister Wang; from now on, my focus will shift to family. Filming will have to be put aside."

Li Hong also looked surprised, staring at Lin Ruxian in disbelief.
It’s important to note that Lin Ruxian is currently a prominent figure in the Chinese Entertainment Industry. Although her popularity has dropped somewhat due to her marriage announcement, her immense Box Office appeal remains undeniable.
To put it simply, Lin Ruxian could have a continuous stream of film offers and endorsements throughout the year. With a little more effort, earning one or two hundred million a year wouldn’t be a problem at all.
Last year, she topped the Forbes list of income for mainland artists with an astonishing 15.6 billion, surpassing all other female stars.
Given this context, Lin Ruxian suddenly shifting her focus to family left Li Hong and Lin Zhengfeng bewildered.
"I promised Li Hong that I would play the role of a good mother. So I will keep my promise," Lin Ruxian said firmly, looking at the confused Li Hong.
Li Hong felt a bitter taste at the corner of his mouth and could only smile wryly as he said, "Why go through all this? You're doing fine as you are; why must you do this?"
"Exactly, Lin Ruxian. This isn’t something to take lightly. If you disappear from the entertainment industry for a few years, it could be detrimental. Besides, you're still young; if you really want to do this, you can earn money for a couple of years first before stepping back," Lin Zhengfeng advised earnestly.
Lin Ruxian looked at Li Hong and teased, "Dad, what are you talking about? Even if I earn a few hundred million a year, it still doesn't compare to how rich Boss Li is. Why bother?"
"Uh, Li Hong is really that wealthy?" Lin Zhengfeng asked, somewhat skeptical.
Lin Zhengfeng's only impression of Li Hong was that Lin Ruxian had told him that the game Goddess Alliance was under Li Hong's company. However, Lin Zhengfeng only played Goddess Alliance occasionally, so his impression of Li Hong was merely as a game developer.
Although Goddess Alliance was quite popular, Lin Zhengfeng still couldn't believe that Li Hong could earn more than Lin Ruxian. How could a computer game developer possibly make more money than one of the top figures in the entertainment industry?

Of course, Lin Zhengfeng didn't ask this out of any disdain for poverty or love for wealth. If he truly held such views, he would have likely kicked Li Hong out long ago.
In reality, he was simply curious. Whether man or woman, as long as they weren't saints, people generally have an interest in wealth and money.
It's no surprise; just looking at how the annual rich lists attract global attention shows that the pursuit of wealth is a common trait among humans.
Lin Zhengfeng felt the same way. Although the money wasn't his own, he wanted to know just how much there was. Even if he couldn't have it, it would still satisfy his curiosity.
Before Li Hong could respond, Lin Ruxian interjected, "Dad, you probably can't even imagine how rich Li Hong is right now."
