"This slap is for the assassination attempt against me." 0

The voice of Jufeng echoed in the room, and Cheng Zihu was so frightened that his soul seemed to leave his body. The bodyguard who had been thrown out struggled to get up from the ground, while another person stepped forward to stand beside Cheng Zihu, trembling uncontrollably despite facing Jufeng. 0

Jufeng naturally resumed his previous seated position. The bandage on his arm had long since disappeared somewhere along the beach with that pitiful bicycle. Without the constraint of the cloth, his arm felt as free as a wild horse, light and agile. Otherwise, that slap wouldn't have sounded so loud. 0

Tong Bailong seemed to understand his boss's thoughts, so he simply continued eating the noodles in front of him. There wasn't much left anyway, and finishing them would allow him to accompany his boss home a bit earlier. 0

After a while, Cheng Zihu finally regained his composure from the shock, and his gaze turned extremely sinister. He turned to glare at Jufeng, his teeth grinding together as if he wished he could swallow the young man whole. 0

"You dare hit me!" 0

Before Jufeng's arrival, Cheng Zihu had indeed imagined countless ways to resolve today's situation. His assassination attempt had been exposed, leaving him morally at fault. Moreover, the Rising Dragon Club did not have many subordinates at present; if negotiations were to take place, he would have no solid ground to stand on. Despite having spent decades navigating the treacherous waters of Washing City, establishing a strong foundation, how many reliable connections would dare to stand up for him in the face of a rising storm? With Jufeng alive and the storm still brewing, it remained a hard stone; if he did not pay some price, this matter would certainly not end well. 0

However, Cheng Zihu could never have anticipated that this reckless young man would charge in and start fighting within mere seconds of entering. Such a brazen act of tearing off the mask of civility was hardly something one would expect from a gang leader. Previously, Cheng Zihu had regretted underestimating the Rising Dragon Club, a gang with an average age barely above zero. Yet after that slap just now, he dismissed that regret entirely. 0

This young man was indeed inexperienced and knew nothing; how could he possibly lose to him? 0

Fine, since you've torn apart any semblance of civility, don't blame me for disregarding our code. If you want any compensation from me, there's absolutely no chance. Not only that, but you’ve also taken over so many of my establishments; today I will settle this with you. 0

Cheng Zihu glared at Jufeng, his expression shifting between anger and uncertainty. Jufeng knew exactly what this tiger was thinking; however, what he had in mind was perhaps a bit too serious. 0

In truth, from the very beginning, Jufeng understood that Cheng Zihu not only underestimated his abilities but also underestimated his determination to take over the Rising Dragon Club. In Cheng Zihu's imagination, there was no thought of handing over the Rising Dragon Club; it was as natural as needing food when hungry. 0

The Rising Dragon Club was his lifeblood; unless he were dead, he would never let it go. But today—could he even keep his life? 0

"You shouldn't be asking such questions," Jufeng said, referring naturally to those four words that Cheng Zihu couldn't accept. 0

“Daring is merely a mental exercise; it must ultimately manifest in action. Your earlier feelings must not have been warm enough, or you wouldn't have asked such a foolish question.” 0

Tong Bailong had finished his last bite, carelessly wiping the greasy corners of his mouth, and obediently stood with his hands clasped behind his back beside Jufeng. 0

Cheng Zihu was momentarily taken aback. It seemed that Jufeng had truly lost his mind. Was he really enjoying this verbal sparring? He was clearly inexperienced! 0

“Good! Good! Good!” Cheng Zihu repeated the word three times, suddenly laughing in anger. 0

“What a fine university student! Clearly more cultured than us common folk. Since we can't find common ground, I won't hold it against you. Someone, show our guest out! Let me pay you a visit next time!” 0

The last four words from Cheng Zihu were spoken with gritted teeth, laden with threats. The bodyguard, whose legs were trembling, thought to himself that trouble was brewing; his companion had just shown loyalty at the right moment, and now it was time for him to step up. 0

The bodyguard prepared to take a step forward and make a gesture of invitation, trying to give the other party some face. However, Jufeng suddenly turned his gaze toward him, sharp as a blade cutting through mountains and seas. Remembering what had happened to his flying companion earlier, he instinctively took two steps back. 0

Seeing his subordinate's cowardice, Cheng Zihu cursed under his breath for being useless. Just as he was about to issue another eviction order, he noticed Jufeng calmly pulling out a document. 0

“Don’t be anxious, Cheng Laoda. Just sign this document for me, and I’ll leave right away.” 0

Jufeng stepped forward and placed a document on the crystal coffee table, where the bold letters “A Squad” caught everyone’s attention. 0

It was the ownership transfer document for the Rising Dragon Club. 0

Upon seeing those words, Cheng Zihu's blood pressure surged once again. 0

“ Jufeng, don’t push your luck. There are countless eyes watching this place in Washing City! How dare you demand this Association from me? You must be out of your mind! Do you really think I’m afraid of you? I don’t believe it! If I refuse to give it to you, what can you do? Are you going to kill me?” 0

There’s an old saying in Huaguo: when a dog is cornered, it can leap over barriers. Cheng Zihu was currently in that very state. 0

Jufeng smiled helplessly and waved his hand in front of Cheng Zihu, stopping the latter's spittle-fueled tirade. 0

"I'm not going to waste words with Cheng Laoda. I know the reason you're so tough right now is that you haven't grasped the current situation. Let me analyze it for you, and then you can make your decision." 0

"I know you have some backing. One is Director Zou; I assume you've contacted him before I arrived, but you probably couldn't reach him. It's not that Director Zou is busy; it's just that he has already distanced himself from our matter. I won't make any bold claims, but you can try calling him later." 0

"The second source of your confidence must be your partners in the Underworld. I know you're a fixture in Washing City, having been rooted here for a long time, with countless allies. Yet, it's unfortunate that you haven't seen a single one of them today—not even a phone call. Why is that? Again, I won't make any bold claims; you can verify this shortly." 0

"Lastly, I want to mention something. Perhaps too many people witnessed my entrance into this building, so you think I wouldn't kill you. I admit, you're correct in this regard; more accurately, I've never even considered killing you. A defeated tiger before me will forever be just a cat." 0

"But what about your family? Not everyone in the Underworld is cold-blooded. I've heard Cheng Laoda's daughter excels academically at school. If you don't cooperate, I won't hesitate to take drastic measures, even if that flower is still in bud." 0

Jufeng laughed twice and then strode away, leaving behind a furious Cheng Zihu and two alarmed bodyguards. 0

As he exited the room, Jufeng spotted Xue on a nearby sofa, playfully interacting with a girl who had two braids and was carrying a backpack. He walked over in that direction. 0

When Xue saw Jufeng coming out, she took the girl's hand and stood up from the sofa. Romain approached the girl, bent down, and chatted with her briefly, eliciting joyful laughter that echoed throughout the second floor. 0

He took an oversized lollipop from Xue's hand and handed it to the girl, affectionately ruffling her hair. He encouraged her to go inside and talk to her father while asking Xue to convey to Cheng Zihu that he had half an hour to think. 0

The girl skipped happily into the room while Xue and Romain stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the view outside and chatting casually. 0

"Sometimes I think maybe I'm really not suited for this line of work; after all, I'm too kind-hearted. When I saw that girl just now, I felt a moment of hesitation and thought about giving up on the Rising Dragon Club." 0

Xue looked at Jufeng's profile, wondering what kind of past could have led him to be in his current state. 0

"But in the end, you didn't spare him his life; that's already kind enough!" 0

Jufeng chuckled lightly, "Yes, indeed. This personality is truly split!" 0

Casually chatting, half an hour passed in the blink of an eye. When he had made seven or eight unsuccessful calls to Cheng Zihu from A Company, he felt utterly disheartened. The arrival of his daughter made him completely abandon any thoughts of resistance. He never imagined he would survive; he only hoped that the Rising Dragon Club would ensure his family's safety. 0

However, to his surprise later on, Jufeng had never intended to kill him. 0

Upon receiving the agreement from his younger brother, a smile finally appeared on Jufeng's face. He exchanged a glance with Xue, and they both smiled at each other. 0

The laughter did not last long as Jufeng and Xue walked arm in arm down the stairs. 0

"Let's go; there are people downstairs whom we truly need to thank!" 0
