Pirate Star The water resources were scarce, and the air was rarely humid, carrying a faint intoxication. However, this afternoon, the air felt particularly cold. 0

Jufeng skillfully concealed the turmoil within, joking and laughing with a group of young people along the way. But as soon as he arrived home, his expression shifted to one of seriousness. 0

The board house had only a few rooms; Jufeng and Chuyang shared a bedroom, while Bill occupied the living room. With a small kitchen included, it could be said that although it was compact, it had all the essentials. Upon entering, Bill was pacing back and forth in the living room. His expression softened slightly upon seeing the backbone of their group return. 0

"Did you find out?" 0

"Yes, it just spread through the village. Two mechs were found in the southern forest; they aren't from Pirate Star. I can't afford to be overly optimistic; they should belong to us. It's been nerve-wracking." 0

Bill's face was tense, and Jufeng's response seemed to set the tone for their situation. 0

"I saw them when I came back; they are ours." 0

Having already formed an estimate in his mind, Bill wasn't particularly shocked at this point, but his anxiety remained unabated. 0

"Brother Jufeng, what should we do? The weapon management at Pirate Star is strict; even a handgun is hard to come by, let alone mechs. We're going to be trapped here!" 0

Jufeng sat down on a chair and gestured for Bill to calm down. As he turned his head, Chuyang walked out of the bedroom, holding a cloth doll—the only gift that Sister Ni had begged her father to buy during negotiations with Magellanic Star and Huankezhao. 0

Cutting off water only makes it flow more; unwittingly relieving worries brings joy. 0

Jufeng looked warmly at Chuyang, who giggled and leaped into his arms like a swallow. 0

"Daddy is in trouble; what should Chuyang do?" 0

With pride, Chuyang declared, "Leave it to the invincible cosmic beauty! I'll take Daddy home." 0

Laughter filled the air, rich and vibrant, leaving even Bill feeling bewildered. 0

As night fell, the atmosphere was quiet and serene. Two figures—actually three—stealthily slipped out of the barracks, leaving the village and disappearing into the dense forest surrounding it, heading further away. 0

After half a month of secret nighttime searches and conversations with the villagers, Jufeng had gathered some clues. The main lead was that not long ago, around the same time Jufeng's ship was attacked, a spacecraft from Earth had suddenly arrived at Pirate Star, staying for just one day before departing. Additionally, a few months prior, during a robbery of several Huankezhao cargo ships, the same Earth spacecraft had also appeared. The villagers of Pirate Star were unaware of any connection between these two occurrences, but Jufeng sensed something unusual. 0

It seemed that the four partners from Earth, who were also agents for Huankezhao, were up to no good. Jufeng couldn't tell if it was one or several of them involved, but he figured that regardless of how it played out, their strength far surpassed that of Zongheng Express. 0

Thinking this way made Jufeng secretly grateful for having brought Jinhai Industries into the fold; they were like grasshoppers tied to the same rope, partners on the same boat who could at least manage to deal with the situation together. Jufeng even reminded himself to strengthen ties with Jinhai Industries once back on Earth, but now even figuring out how to return was a challenge. 0

The village where Jufeng was located was not far from Azure Dragon Monk's armory. After about an hour of hurried travel, darkness gave way to bright lights ahead. Chuyang lay on Jufeng's back without much movement, while Bill beside him was slightly out of breath, his face reddened under the night’s cover. 0

“Stay close to me.” 0

Jufeng waited for a scanning light to sweep elsewhere before leaping out of the forest like a leopard. Carrying a girl on his back felt effortless; his agile form left Bill in awe as he struggled to keep up. If only Bill knew that Jufeng was still holding back his speed for his sake, he might have worshipped him as a deity. 0

The armory consisted of several spacious warehouses where most mechs were stored and maintained. Historically, defense forces here were not strong; firstly because there were no enemies nearby—any foes would have to come from outer space—and secondly because mechs were rare commodities. There were fewer people capable of piloting mechs than those who could pilot ships since operating a ship required multiple crew members with each responsible for specific tasks and ensuring stability. 0

Thus, for Jufeng, sneaking past the defenses into the warehouses posed no difficulty. However, while mechs did not require keys for entry, they did need temporary passwords to access them. Azure Dragon Monk would have cracked previous passwords and replaced them with new ones; thus even if Jufeng found a mech, entering it would be impossible without specific equipment to crack the codes—something that clearly neither he nor Bill possessed. 0

But when Jufeng saw Chuyang, a weight lifted from his heart. He knew that as long as Chuyang touched a mech with her palm, she could control it effortlessly through her thoughts—opening doors or firing weapons at will. This unique ability had seemed strange before but now appeared crucial for their survival. 0

Easily evading the weak defenses, Jufeng successfully entered the warehouse. It was vast and filled with mechs; determining which one they needed would take time as they had to search through them one by one. 0

The night was tranquil and breezy like countless nights before; some guards dozed off while others played cards—everything seemed normal. 0

Finally, Jufeng and Bill found their mech. Since it had just been moved there today, it was positioned closer to the entrance and didn’t take much effort to reach. 0

Bill finally breathed a sigh of relief at this point; once they quietly opened the mech and swiftly flew away from Pirate Star, even if they disturbed the pirates, there would be no worries left behind. As long as they exited the planet's surface and entered the vast universe beyond, no one could touch them. 0

However, their joy lasted only a moment. Before they could even begin cracking the password, suddenly the darkness brightened dramatically as large overhead lights illuminated everything around them so brightly that Jufeng and his companions squinted against the glare. 0

Suddenly, countless figures in black emerged from nowhere, their hands not wielding Steel Blades, but rather dark and cold gun barrels. The leader among them had a fierce expression, completely bald, shining brighter than the giant lamps around. A glimpse of a tattoo was faintly visible on his neck. 0

"Staying up at night and still having the mood to bring a child to browse my armory—what a rare guest, indeed!" 0

Jufeng was taken aback, while Bill trembled on his legs, and even Chuyang's delicate features turned icy. 0

Indeed, just when they had found a mech that did not belong to Pirate Star, how could they have imagined that someone had already infiltrated Pirate Star? It seemed that the news of discovering the mech was intentionally leaked by this monk. What was the purpose? This must be the purpose. 0

In that brief moment, Jufeng thought of the matters concerning A Company, but it was clear that realizing this now was far too late. 0

They were in grave danger. 0
