Without those two mechs, Jufeng naturally leaned against Vera's shoulder, the kind of intimacy that suggested a close relationship. 0

Vera did not respond, only thinking to herself that Jufeng still had the audacity to take advantage of the situation, which indicated he must not have sustained serious injuries. 0

Vera ignored Jufeng's "unserious" behavior; such antics had played out countless times over the long course of their past, and she had come to understand Jufeng's mindset. She knew that adapting to circumstances was the best choice. 0

However, as Vera gazed at the large number of mechs gradually emerging from the mountains, she couldn't help but feel puzzled and said to Jufeng, "Isn't Liu Gulang supposed to arrive in half a moment? Where are these people coming from?" 0

The roar of the mechs echoed between the mountains, continuously layering over the plains, causing a buzzing in people's ears. 0

Liu Gulang and other survivors like Hua Cheng flew toward Jufeng, landing behind him and Vera, subtly indicating they were looking up to them. 0

On the opposite side, over a hundred mechs had already appeared before them. 0

They were not camouflaged but military green. Although the colors were not vastly different, their meanings were worlds apart. 0

From the ocean of military green emerged five mechs, and at that moment, Jufeng suddenly heard Hua Cheng's voice in his ear. 0

"They are from the United Peace Army; they have always been at odds with our military." 0

After Hua Cheng finished speaking, he was suddenly surprised himself. Jufeng was not aligned with them either; why had he inadvertently used "we"? 0

However, Jufeng did not dwell on it too much. After all, if it weren't for their sudden appearance, the outcome for him and his group against the Terrorists would still be uncertain. 0

As the newcomers approached, just as Jufeng was about to express his gratitude, unexpectedly, one of them spoke first, causing his appreciation to be swallowed back down. 0

With an exaggerated gesture, a mocking voice echoed from the external speaker of the mech across the plains. 0

"Oh! I thought it was someone who got beaten down by a few thieves; turns out it's the famous Ironclad Troops! Come on, brothers, give them a round of applause—impressive! Truly impressive!!!" 0

The leader clapped his hands first, and the metallic sound of palms meeting in mid-air produced an exceptionally sharp noise. 0

The surviving members of Ironclad Troops glared angrily at these five individuals. Hua Cheng nearly stood up in an attempt to retort. 0

Jufeng's brows furrowed tightly; a look of disgust surfaced on his pale face inside the mech. He knew that anyone with even a little discernment could see how devastatingly fierce this plain had just been ravaged. Yet as a soldier, instead of showing any sympathy, they mocked him coldly—it was truly repulsive. 0

Amidst the piercing applause, Jufeng took two slow but steady steps forward. The clapping quickly faded as he approached until he stood before that person's mech. 0

Facing each other, they were no more than a meter apart, separated only by the steel armor. 0

The mocking voice turned into a sinister threat: "Do you want to die?" 0

Jufeng silently laughed inside his mech. Earlier, when he faced eight Azure Level Mechas, no one dared to challenge him. Now, this insignificant figure dared to speak so boldly! 0

Jufeng said nothing, merely standing there calmly. His mech appeared battered, yet for some reason, in the eyes of Hua Cheng and his team, it seemed unusually tall and reassuring. 0

The member of the Peacekeeping Force, seeing his words ignored, couldn't help but feel enraged. Perhaps the phrase "actions speak louder than words" suddenly flashed in his mind, prompting him to strike. 0

At such a close distance, Jufeng should have been unable to evade; at least that was what the attacker believed. His four companions looked at Jufeng with disdain, as if they were watching a dead man, imagining the moment he would be sent flying. 0

However, just as they prepared to cheer, it was indeed a mech that flew backward—but not Jufeng as expected; instead, it was their own comrade. 0

The four companions were taken aback and quickly turned to look at Jufeng. Yet he remained steady, as if he had done nothing at all. How could their unexpectedly aggressive teammate be the one sent flying? 0

They immediately switched to their Thermal Swords, on high alert against Jufeng. 0

The man landed heavily not far behind them, shaking the ground and leaving him dazed. After struggling for a while on the ground, he finally managed to stand up. If this had been a physical fight, he would have wiped the blood from his mouth with his sleeve; fortunately, it was just a mech battle, which minimized bodily harm. 0

Fuming with rage and wanting to explode, he couldn't ignore Jufeng's capabilities. Although he had struck first, the opponent's fist had reached him first. This clearly indicated that Romain's level was above his own—a gap that was hard to bridge even in mech combat. 0

"You bastard! You've got guts! Let's see if I don't teach you a lesson about the might of our Peacekeeping Force." 0

He made as if to order an attack, but Jufeng's words doused him with cold water. 0

Jufeng also activated external communication and coldly stated, "I advise you not to push things too far. Our main force is on its way. Once fighting breaks out, regardless of any consequences for us, your fate today will be dire." 0

Jufeng's words were delivered calmly—so calm that it didn't sound like a threat but rather a statement of fact. Yet this only made the five members of the Peacekeeping Force believe him even more. 0

As soon as Romain finished speaking, from across the mountains came the faint sound of mechs rumbling through a dense forest. 0

Before long, the noise grew louder as one or two mechs began to appear. Hua Cheng and his team turned around and couldn't help but smile broadly upon seeing that those mechs were camouflaged. 0

The five members of the Peacekeeping Force looked into the distance and realized that reinforcements were indeed arriving. They knew they had no choice but to back down today. If soldiers engaged in internal conflict, they would face severe judgment from the Cosmos Court. Without reinforcements, in his fury, he might have considered extreme measures like erasing evidence; however, Jufeng's warning and the appearance of mechs completely cooled his anger. 0

"Consider yourself lucky today. If you have the guts, why not leave your name? We can settle this properly another time!" 0

“Captain of the Universal Landing Force, Squad 521, Vera,” Jufeng replied without a second thought. 0

Vera glanced at Jufeng from inside her mech, feeling quite helpless. 0

The man, however, was delighted. “Great, I’ve noted it down. The mountains remain unchanged, and the rivers flow long. Let’s go!” 0

With that command, over a hundred members of the United Peace Army took to the skies, not to chase after the terrorists but simply to choose a quick way to leave. 0

About an hour into their flight, one of the man's brothers reflected on Jufeng's words and suddenly realized something was off. He hurriedly said to the man, “Boss, we’ve been tricked! Vera is a woman’s name!” 0

Suddenly, a deafening roar of fury erupted from inside the mech! 0
