The corridor twisted and turned, a labyrinth of nine bends and ten loops. The figure of the Underworld Young Master darted through like the wind, evading the searchers while silently thanking whoever had designed this building. For Jufeng, trapped in a perilous situation, it felt as though divine assistance was at hand. 0

Jufeng did his best to avoid contact with the thugs. Whenever escape was impossible, he would swiftly and silently eliminate his opponents before continuing his flight and search. Although the rooms resembled a beehive, finding an exit hidden within was no easy task. After circling for a moment, Jufeng still could not discern the direction of any exit. 0

"These Island Nation people are truly bizarre. Don't they have emergency exits in their buildings? What would they do if there were a fire?" 0

Muttering to himself, Jufeng narrowly avoided a pair of menacing assassins. Once he confirmed they had moved away, he cautiously opened a door. He quickly glanced around and then, like a cat, left only two afterimages in the corridor before swiftly entering another room. 0

Inside the room, Jufeng searched carefully; it was yet another windowless chamber. This had been the case all along—dark and obscure rooms without a single window. Surely he couldn't break through the walls to escape. 0

As expected, disappointment faded from Jufeng's mind. Listening to the increasingly dense footsteps outside, he decided to sit down in the room. He filled a cup with cold water from the dispenser and savored it leisurely as if enjoying tea. 0

He felt no awareness of being in a tiger's den. 0

After some time, as he neared the bottom of his cup, the footsteps outside grew even more intense. Suddenly, a voice reached Jufeng's ears—a light and melodious sound that filled him with both affection and resentment. 0

"How are you doing, Feng Shao?" 0

Jufeng placed his cup heavily on the table but managed to keep it quiet enough not to attract attention from the thugs. With an unfriendly tone, he replied, "Thanks to Vera's good fortune, I'm still alive! But if you had contacted me just a few minutes later, I might have been crying my heart out." 0

His words were laced with sharpness; however, Vera on the other end seemed unfazed and unaware that she had put Jufeng in such a predicament. 0

With three parts amusement and seven parts indifference, Vera responded, "Oh, our Underworld Feng Shao is complaining now." 0

Jufeng released his grip on the cup and abruptly stood up. "Enough chatter; tell me how to get out of here." 0

Hearing Jufeng's words filled with genuine irritation made Vera realize she might have gone too far. After all, she had come all this way without giving him any warning before orchestrating this entire series of events that left him unprepared. If it had been someone else in his position, they might have faced life-threatening situations multiple times. Being manipulated like a puppet felt terrible. 0

Vera suppressed her teasing demeanor and said, "Feng Shao is indeed a hero who can be foolish at times. Have you forgotten how that woman escaped? Just do as she did." 0

Jufeng suddenly understood; he had been so focused on finding an exit that he overlooked the clues provided by that woman's escape! A confident smile returned to his lips as his tone softened considerably. 0

"Thank you for the reminder. Give me a minute to step outside." 0

With that, Jufeng began searching the room for seemingly ordinary yet cleverly concealed decorations. After a while, he finally spotted a desk lamp on the writing desk. Due to the lack of windows, every room was dimly lit, and naturally, there were desk lamps in each one. Initially, he thought nothing of it, but now he realized that some of the desk lamps were quite unique. 0

Like the one in front of him. 0

He gently rotated the base of the desk lamp, and suddenly, the bookshelf detached from the wall, revealing a special door wide enough for a person to pass through. Jufeng cautiously entered through the door, and in an instant, the bookshelf returned to its original position. From inside the room, there was no trace of any movement. 0

... 0

Behind the bookshelf—or rather, behind the special door—was a narrow and dark passageway. After walking for about a minute, a glimmer of light appeared at the end of the darkness. Naturally, as is human nature, there was an eager desire to reach for the light. It was another door; Jufeng gently pushed it open, revealing another world beyond. 0

Emerging from behind the bookshelf and stepping through the door, Jufeng found himself in an exquisitely decorated study. The walls were lined with bookshelves filled with an array of books. One side had a clear window, though outside was nothing but darkness; on the other side hung a mural beneath which sat a bright red sofa. 0

Similar to the decor style on the second floor of the gymnasium, Jufeng's initially relaxed mood quickly turned cautious—he clearly had not completely escaped from enemy territory. 0

"Hey, I'm out now. Where should I go to find you guys?" 0

Jufeng spoke softly while casually browsing through the books on the shelves. Since the lights in the room were on, he had to remain vigilant for anyone who might suddenly enter. 0

From his ear came a gentle voice: "Don't worry. Step out; your beauty and I are waiting just outside." 0

Jufeng paused at those words and then skeptically pushed open the door. Instantly, the world outside became expansive. Before him was a circular railing about twenty meters in diameter surrounding a luxurious crystal chandelier that radiated soft light, enveloping everything in its glow. 0

Jufeng took two steps forward and leaned against the railing. Below him in the vast space stood three people—people he recognized and found rather alluring. 0

Having been on his feet for so long, he was too lazy to walk down the stairs slowly. Instead, Romain leaped over the railing and enjoyed a rush of air as he descended about five meters before landing softly on the ground floor. 0

The walls were adorned with exquisite mosaics, interspersed with murals. Aside from two seemingly dull rooms, the entire first floor was completely open, featuring towering Roman pillars and a cozy bar kitchen setup. 0

Jufeng stood up and walked over to familiar faces before boldly sitting down on a genuine leather sofa with his legs crossed in a display of nonchalance befitting a wealthy heir. Then he uttered something utterly shocking. 0

"Hey, girls, do you know how much trouble you caused me tonight? Come on, whoever is on duty tonight, be a bit more proactive, or I might just have to make a decision." 0

The term "make a decision" is an ancient phrase, originating from the feudal era when emperors with thousands of concubines suffered from choice paralysis. They used this trick to help themselves decide. Vera understood the implication, and her expression stiffened; the woman now bound and restrained seemed not to grasp the meaning of the term but still wore an unfriendly expression. 0

A giant standing beside them waved his sleeves, and a cold wind swept through the room. 0

As a dedicated bodyguard, Lance had been by Vera's side for nearly ten years, watching this European Blue Cat grow step by step. Rather than just a bodyguard, he felt more like a guardian. His feelings for Vera were akin to familial love; he didn't want his "daughter" to suffer even a little. 0

However, ever since she got involved with Jufeng, this playful man always seemed to bring an inexplicable gloom to Vera's mood. Sometimes she would laugh joyfully, but more often than not, like now, she appeared helpless. Lance couldn't understand why Vera chose to collaborate with such an unreliable person but could only respect her decision. He simply wouldn't allow Jufeng to bully her, not even verbally. 0

Thus, Lance stepped forward with a flick of his sleeve, and a complex current of air surged in the spacious room. 0
