"Is he really coming over later? It's the middle of the night—what kind of surprise inspection is this?" 0

Qi Fa sat in a high-end dormitory at the Dragon Breaker Army base, his mouth agape, revealing the tomato and egg noodles on his tongue. 0

A man in his forties reached out and lifted his chin, saying, "Close your mouth; it's windy outside. Don't freeze your tongue." 0

The man did not deny it, merely accepting the situation. Qi Fa, just back from the demonstration area, felt a wave of frustration. As he chewed on the last bits of food, he complained, "This is ridiculous. I've seen these noodles twice already. Am I ever going to get a decent meal?" 0

The man ignored Qi Fa's complaints, clearly an old acquaintance who understood him well. He leaned back on the sofa, staring at the ceiling with a hint of doubt. "Did he really go toe-to-toe with the War God?" 0

Qi Fa nodded firmly. It seemed that after hearing about Jufeng's arrival, his appetite had diminished; he wolfed down a few bites before wiping his mouth and setting down his bowl and chopsticks. 0

"I just finished off that brat from the First Army. I was resting in the lounge and watched for a bit longer. You wouldn't believe it—his piloting skills are no joke. I thought with your ten-plus years of experience in Crimson-Class Mecha you could at least hold your own against someone who's just entered mid-tier. After watching him, I realized there was no hope at all." 0

The man's expression grew serious as he nodded. Initially, both he and Qi Fa had figured out that Jufeng had only just crossed into mid-tier. They planned to challenge him before he got settled in to give him a taste of reality. Now, after hearing Qi Fa's report, they knew that plan was dashed. 0

Seeing the man lost in thought, Qi Fa reminded him, "Changchang, I made a promise at the stadium. I can't cause him any trouble anymore; I have to listen to everything he says. If you want to make things difficult for him, it's up to you now." 0

The man called Changchang looked innocent as he replied, "How can you abandon your dear comrade?" 0

Qi Fa snorted coldly and said, "I hope you can be just as shameless in front of Jufeng." 0

The central city of Magellan Star had already entered late-night hours; however, Jufeng had no intention of resting. After finishing his match with Chen Ziping, he hurried over to the Dragon Breaker Army base. 0

He was ready to take command of his army. 0

Ganwen originally intended to come along, but was rejected by Jufeng for a simple reason. 0

"It’s best for soldiers to handle their own matters. A politician should not appear before the military except during inspections." 0

Jiang Xue and Wen Yun had already returned to rest under the company of civilization. Sisi was supposed to join them as well, but she felt a playful urge to see the army. After much persuasion from Jufeng, Vera couldn’t bear to refuse and decided to follow along. 0

"I wonder where a girl gets so much energy. Aren't you tired?" 0

Chen Tan Hua watched Sisi bounce off the vehicle, recalling her earlier vigorous waving of flags at the stadium, and couldn’t help but sigh inwardly at how energetic girls are these days. 0

Sisi smiled brightly, showing no signs of fatigue. "Brother Chen, I'm really not tired! It's so nice to be out with everyone; it's much better than being alone in a room." 0

"I feel like Brother Chen sounds a bit strange. Can we change how I address you?" Chen Tan Hua was defeated by Sisi's voice and suggested. 0

Sisi thought for a moment, then her face lit up with a smile as she exclaimed, "Then I'll call you Brother Flower!" 0

Chen Tan Hua nearly stumbled in his steps and quickly declined, "No, no, let's stick with Brother Chen; that’s perfectly fine." This drew laughter from Jufeng, Vera, and Tian Feng. 0

Just as the laughter began, it abruptly stopped. The group suddenly noticed several soldiers standing in neat rows against the backdrop of the inky night. 0

Uniform military attire rustled in the night breeze; at a glance, there were at least thirty men in each row, and the number of rows seemed endless. 0

In the moonlight, they stood tall like javelins. 0

The two leading figures were naturally Qi Fa and a man named Changchang. 0

"Bang! Bang!" The two leaders saluted sharply, then spoke loudly, "Dragon Breaker Army, Master Ouyang Chang, present to Commander!" 0

"Present to Commander!" 0

The voices surged like a tide, echoing through the quiet night as if a thunderclap had suddenly erupted in the air. Sisi couldn't help but shiver, goosebumps rising all over her skin. 0

It was enough to be shocking. 0

Jufeng withdrew his gaze from the vast crowd and focused on the nearby scene. Accompanied by his friends, he approached Qi Fa and the man beside him, observing them with a calm demeanor. 0

Qi Fa seemed unfazed, maintaining his salute while his gaze wandered elsewhere. 0

He would step back; as long as Jufeng won, he would no longer stir up trouble. Although Jufeng and Chen Ziping were currently at a stalemate, he could not shamelessly argue for himself. Such behavior was beneath a proud person. 0

However, not stirring up trouble did not mean he had to be amiable. This was an opportunity he intended to seize. Perhaps several years later, Qi Fa might genuinely acknowledge Jufeng from the heart. But for now, he found it impossible to accept him. 0

Yet Jufeng didn’t mind; if you wouldn’t engage with me, I could engage with you. 0

"You performed well today. Next time you see someone from the First Army, you can be even harsher." 0

Jufeng spoke like a commander giving feedback. However, upon hearing this, Qi Fa felt quite uncomfortable but couldn’t refute it, remaining silent. Deep down, he wondered if it really counted as being lenient when he had beaten the other so badly that even his father wouldn’t recognize him. 0

But the man beside him and some nearby officers felt ripples of thought at Jufeng's words; they found them quite reasonable and began to see him in a less unfavorable light. 0

Among the five Dragon Head Armies, cooperation had always been impossible, especially between the Dragon Breaker Army and the First Army, which were almost sworn enemies. Therefore, Jufeng's declaration of stance brought comfort to most people present. 0

Jufeng's commentary was not yet finished; his gaze shifted past Qi Fa and landed on the man. 0

“Ouyang Chang?” Jufeng asked tentatively. 0

“Present!” came a resonant and clear reply. 0

Jufeng raised his hand, and then, as if recounting treasured memories, he began to speak at length. 0

“Ouyang Chang entered the Crimson Rank at the age of twenty-eight and became a Master at thirty-two. He is, to date, the only person in the Dragon Breaker Army to hold the rank of Master while being a Crimson Rank member.” 0

“His military career has been marked by numerous achievements. Twenty years ago, during an anti-terror operation at Delta Star, he heroically rescued fourteen children, earning a first-class merit; sixteen years ago, he participated in interstellar patching work and single-handedly completed the most challenging asteroid demolition, also receiving a first-class merit; eight years ago, he took part in the Cosmos Terrorist crackdown operation, leading the army that captured the most terrorists; two years ago, when Huankezhao initiated war, Master Ouyang was among the first to respond and played a crucial role in ensuring that the Dragon Breaker Army suffered no damage.” 0
