Qi Fa chuckled quietly to himself, while Chen Tan Hua exchanged a glance with Qi Fa, both looking at Ouyang Chang with a hint of sympathy. Sisi and Vera glared at Ouyang Chang, their expressions fierce as if they were ready to devour him.
Ouyang Chang licked his dry tongue and quickly shook his hands in explanation. "Sister Vera, you misunderstood. It's not that at all; I was just worried the military environment might be too harsh for you."
Qi Fa laughed even harder at this, and Chen Tan Hua leaned over to Tian Feng and whispered, "Well, this is just making things worse."
Vera stood up and fixed her gaze on Ouyang Chang. She suddenly realized that this Master wasn't as appealing as he seemed. She slowly said, "I've heard a lot about Master Ouyang's impressive skills with the Crimson-Class Mecha, reputed to be unmatched in the military. How about we spar a little? The warriors train so hard; it would be a nice change of pace, don't you think?"
Upon hearing this, Ouyang Chang's expression froze in shock. He never imagined Vera would take the initiative to propose such a thing.
Qi Fa looked even more puzzled. What kind of capital did a seemingly delicate woman have to make such bold statements?
Ouyang Chang turned his gaze toward Jufeng, hoping he would step in to diffuse the situation and give Vera an out.
However, Jufeng's reaction disappointed him. He continued eating his meal, and after finishing a few bites, he stood up and nodded. "There's no time like the present; let's do it today. Changchang, finish your meal and get ready."
After hearing this, Ouyang Chang lost all appetite. He thought to himself that Jufeng was setting him up for a challenge. Vera was Jufeng's woman—was he trying to put him in a difficult position?
Then Jufeng said something that shattered Ouyang Chang's assumptions but also left him speechless.
"My wife is also a Red-Class Mecha Pilot; you don't need to hold back—just give it your all."
With that, Jufeng and Vera headed toward the simulation battlefield first. Chen Tan Hua and Tian Feng followed behind, discussing among themselves. "Looks like our Changchang isn't quite prepared; he didn't even know our Sister Feng is a Red-Class Mecha Pilot."
Tian Feng chuckled lightly. "Yeah, I wonder if he's done any research on us..."
“Changchang, I suddenly have a bad feeling.”
Qi Fa stood up and walked over to Ouyang Chang, his expression heavy.
Ouyang Chang shared the same sentiment; Jufeng would never joke with them like this, which meant that Vera must indeed be a Red-Class Mecha Pilot.
This time, they were truly caught in a dilemma.
“Whatever,” Qi Fa comforted Ouyang Chang. “Just go all out. Even if you lose in the end, I’ll take care of your remains.”
Qi Fa's tone was particularly serious, and Ouyang Chang was now in a daze, unsure how to respond.
The simulated battlefield of the Dragon Breaker Army was the most advanced training ground equipped by the United Nations, comparable in scale to Huankezhao.
When news spread through the Military that Ouyang Chang would be battling the new Commander’s girlfriend, it took less than an hour for the entire battlefield to be packed. There were no empty seats; even the aisles and stairways were filled with people. Some soldiers were perched on their friends' shoulders, while others daringly climbed up to the windows.
Jufeng looked at the sea of people before him and felt quite pleased. How could he not understand Vera's intentions? If three parts of this crowd were due to Ouyang Chang's misstep, the remaining seven parts were to help establish his own authority.
Military prestige could not be taken lightly; every detail mattered.
Slowly, two mechas appeared in everyone's view. The first was Ouyang Chang's vehicle—don’t laugh, because it was indeed called Changchang.
This name was widely accepted, born from elections. Now, Ouyang Chang and Changchang had become long-time partners, having fought side by side for many years with remarkable achievements.
Across from Changchang, a pristine white mech gracefully emerged, exuding a soft elegance. Knowing that a stunning beauty was seated within only added to the mech's gentle allure.
The crowd buzzed with chatter, opinions flying in all directions. Although there were few who supported Vera, for some reason, many still harbored a sense of anticipation.
Qi Fa sat in a high, secluded spot, quietly observing the battle unfolding below.
Before long, the match began, and thunderous applause erupted throughout the arena.
With thousands of Dragon Breaker Army warriors present, many were unable to enter the arena to watch the fight and could only gather information from outside.
One minute into the battle, an astonished cheer rang out from within. The shout reverberated, stirring impatience among those waiting outside.
"Hey, what's happening inside? Why is everyone so excited?"
"You won't believe it! It's absolutely thrilling! The Commander's girlfriend is actually a Red-Class Mecha Pilot!"
Five minutes into the match, another cheer erupted, and applause seemed unending. It was hard to fathom how these soldiers could clap so vigorously—had they worn off years of calluses?

This was likely the thought of most people. Just having a Red-Class Mecha Pilot was already shocking; no one dared to hope that Vera could gain any advantage over Ouyang Chang.
However, those observing the battle from within had a different story to tell.
"How can it end so quickly? The battle is still intense. Between you and me, our Master is truly formidable, but the Commander’s girlfriend is just as impressive. No matter how they fight, it's always a tie. A woman can train a mech to this level; if someone didn’t know better, they might think a Demoness had arrived!"
Upon hearing the mention of the Demoness, those outside were immediately struck with astonishment. They never expected that the Commander's girlfriend could reach such a level of strength.
After another two or three minutes, a wave of even more thunderous applause erupted from inside, and then there was silence.
"Brothers, why are you all out? Did the match finish? Who won?"
The soldier from the Dragon Breaker Army thought about the situation of both fighters at the end and replied uncertainly, "It should be a tie. The result doesn’t matter; it was just too exciting. Both the Commander and his girlfriend are so impressive; our Dragon Breaker Army truly has something to be proud of!"
Similar comments bubbled up at every exit of the simulation battle arena, seemingly in an instant elevating the reputations of Jufeng and Vera.
After the battle concluded, Jufeng and Vera returned to their rooms to rest. Being newcomers, the Commander had too many military duties to attend to, making it unlikely for Jufeng to relax.
Ouyang Chang and Qi Fa returned to their lounge, discussing today’s events.
"I really didn’t see it coming; that woman is actually Crimson Rank. But honestly, I believe you still have the ability to defeat her—was it just to save face?"
Qi Fa looked at Ouyang Chang sitting on the sofa with confusion.
Ouyang Chang stared at Qi Fa as if he were an idiot and said, "Are you mocking me? Winning would be glorious? Besides, if I want to defeat her in the arena, it will take a lot of time; we won't determine a winner anytime soon."
There was no exaggeration in his words; mechs are truly more useful on the battlefield than in mere competitions.
However, for such a young woman, her strength was enough to look down on the vast majority of men. After all, in the entire Cosmos, there were only a few who could reach the Crimson Rank.
Qi Fa was lost in thought and couldn't help but ask, "Is it really possible that a woman has done this to you?"
Ouyang Chang was reflecting on Jufeng's words from when he left. He relayed to Qi Fa, "It's not just one woman. But do you know? The two men following Jufeng, one is Crimson Rank and the other is Tenth Rank.
