Jufeng left the Near Earth Star at such a critical time as the elections, naturally because what he needed to accomplish was more important than the elections themselves.
Since joining the military, Jufeng had spent most of his time serving the country and its people, making him a true hero.
However, he could not neglect his family and had to balance his time with those close to him.
In a bar just two streets away from the Universal Building, Jufeng appeared like an ordinary person seeking entertainment. Occasionally, his gaze would wander over the provocatively dressed women passing by, and he would casually throw a flirtatious glance.
Beside Jufeng stood a young man who seemed somewhat out of place. With an extraordinary demeanor and imposing presence, he appeared as if he were a towering mountain, blocking Jufeng's chances with women.
Lu Hongyu, although looking out of place, felt no discomfort at all. He simply couldn't help but feel nostalgic upon seeing Jufeng after so many years.
“It’s been over two years since we last met. Not only have you become a general, but now you’ve also been promoted to commander. I truly envy you.”
Jufeng ’s promotion to commander was the first move made after Ganwen took power, naturally intended to show the world that he and the currently most sought-after figure in the military were allies on the same ship.
Jufeng chuckled self-deprecatingly and replied, “Brother Lu is no simple character either; you are now one of Commander Zhang’s most capable generals. It’s only a matter of time before you take over.”
Lu Hongyu had spent these past few years honing his skills on the border, and his abilities were already formidable. Whether it was vision, combat prowess, or military leadership, he ranked among the best in this cosmos.
Yet, few would have imagined that after years of experience, he had once been a wanderer residing on Pirate Planet.
Hearing Jufeng ’s praise, Lu Hongyu shook his head and said, “As long as the people can be spared from war and peace can be restored soon, it doesn’t matter whether one is a general or a commander.”
If these words had come from someone else, they might have been deemed hypocritical. But coming from Lu Hongyu, Jufeng believed them wholeheartedly.
Before long, someone walked in from outside, greeting the alluring women passing by and occasionally being flirted with.
He wasn’t handsome but possessed a unique charm; women who had seen countless men could tell at a glance that only such a man was worth their attention.
Wu walked over to Jufeng, nodding in greeting to Lu Hongyu, and then whispered, "Old Horse has sent word that everything is ready."
Jufeng downed his glass of lemon liquor in one gulp and stood up. "Let's go!"
The Universal Building had become the most bustling place in this Cosmos after the destruction of Magellan Star, without a doubt.
When people looked at this building again, their thoughts and emotions were no longer the same as before. Cao Ke had successively killed Chen Ziping and Pand Zhong in the Magellan Star System, and while this achievement was attributed to Cao Ke, those in the know admired the mastermind behind it all—Shangguan Wangyu.
Because he was someone who could make even Cao Ke willingly serve him.
Liu Xing had been mingling in Huankezhao for over a month now. With his deliberately suppressed but impressive skills, he had subdued a brawl among high-ranking officials' bodyguards in the hall not long ago. He had since been promoted and was now the supervisor on the second floor.
This meant he was in charge of that area.
Around him were several sycophants, eagerly offering cigarettes and flattering him. Once a person ascends to a high position, such things are inevitable. Liu Xing actually disliked it but had no choice but to endure.
Because he needed to save Chuyang.

Though he didn't recognize the people behind him, seeing Politeness made him feel particularly warm. A smile crept onto his lips; with so many familiar companions around, he felt confident about the rescue mission.
He retrieved his Snow Clear from the changing room at the stairwell corner, while the others armed themselves with Steel Blades or handguns. Under Liu Xing's lead, the group began their rescue operation.
At the entrance of Huankezhao, Jufeng and Wu appeared in the bodyguards' line of sight.
Upon seeing these four standing at the door, radiating an aura different from ordinary tourists or visitors, the leading security guard approached with a few subordinates to inquire.
"What are you doing here?"
The head of security was an old-timer at Huankezhao, having served there for over a decade. He stepped forward to question them while sizing them up, suddenly realizing that Civilization's face looked quite familiar.
He stared at Civilization, who calmly met his gaze.
The security captain was quick-witted; in just a moment, he recalled who this familiar person was. However, he found it hard to believe his own memory.

"Bang!" Wu suddenly kicked from the side, and at the same time, the two companions moved like lightning to take down their opponent.
Unfortunately, before the security captain could utter the word "Ming," he collapsed unconscious.
The commotion at the entrance drew the attention of security personnel inside the lobby, prompting several guards to rush toward the door.
The entrance was in complete disarray. The doorway of Huankezhao was usually bustling with traffic and filled with voices.
When the sudden attack occurred, many people hurriedly tried to escape, fearing they would become collateral damage.
After Jufeng and his companions dealt with the security guards at the entrance, Civilization and Wufei quickly drew their guns. In an instant, the original security outside had vanished, and they arrived at the entrance.
Civilization raised his hand and fired a shot, hitting an unknown mechanism. Then, at the location of Huankezhao's main gate, a heavy steel door began to descend slowly.
This was an emergency defense device; this door was extremely heavy and could withstand even ordinary explosives.
By doing this, Civilization had undoubtedly trapped the three of them in a dead end. Facing the chaotic situation inside the hall, with people rushing around in panic and loud shouts echoing, they found themselves with nowhere to retreat.
Of course, the reality was that they never intended to retreat in the first place.
