The Medium Carbon Steel Plate Armor enveloped the wearer like a metal barrel, appearing to be nothing more than a mass of iron at first glance. 0

In reality, it was indeed a hefty chunk of iron, polished to a mirror finish, with each component's curvature meticulously calculated to withstand kinetic energy of up to zero joules. 0

Each set of Plate Armor was donned on the wooden model, transforming the core members of the Firestorm Team into armored warriors, their formidable physiques further accentuated. 0

With this Plate Armor, they could at least withstand the Scorpion Tail of a Second-Level Zombie, which was the source of their greatest fear. 0

Now, with peace of mind, they could unleash their full potential. 0

“Is this... a crossbow?” Suddenly, Blue Lightning Pang Bin excitedly pulled out a crossbow from a box in the corner. The crossbow was small but had a resilient string; with his current strength, he couldn't draw it back and could only rely on its mechanism. The bolts were specially made Armor-Piercing Arrows, with over a dozen boxes available. 0

These items might not be effective against Zombies, but they would become powerful weapons against the people from Howling Wind Gathering Place. 0

In ancient times, crossbows were banned by the authorities, highlighting their significant impact on Cold Weapons combat. 0

After selecting their gear, nearly everyone was clad in Plate Armor and wielding spears. 0

It wasn't that they didn't want to use their familiar weapons; it was simply that spears were the best choice against Zombies. Other weapons might work well in one-on-one combat, but in battle formations, no matter how skilled one was, being pierced by a flurry of spears would end it all. 0

“I really can’t get used to this Plate Armor.” Blue Lightning Pang Bin struggled for half a moment without managing to don the heavy Plate Armor. Despite having slimmed down multiple times, the weight of the armor alone exceeded 40 pounds. Coupled with the spear, it demanded an extraordinary level of physical fitness! 0

Pang Bin was an oddity among Butchers; he was fast and lethal with his strikes and had decent physical attributes. However, he was not suited for direct confrontations as that would severely limit his agility. 0

In the end, Pang Bin opted for a set of Leather Armor along with a Stabbing Sword. He maintained his flamboyant style and even found a cloak in the warehouse to drape over himself. 0

But when he looked back, he was left speechless. Everyone else had donned similar cloaks—identical in style and loose-fitting. The cloaks featured layers of visible steel wire frameworks that could shield against wind and frost while also resisting Zombie blood corrosion. The most eye-catching aspect was the bold characters "War Fire" emblazoned across them in pure gold lettering that shone like the blazing sun. 0

"This must be our Firestorm Team's Emblem," he said, shaking the cloak behind him, feeling its quality far superior to the tablecloth he had once worn. 0

Before, it was merely a fear of the Zombie's corrosive blood; now, it was both practical and decorative. 0

"I wonder where the captain got all these amazing things. It's just outrageous; this is like something out of a medieval army." Pu Qiang grinned widely, feeling that the armor he wore was tailor-made for him. Even the thickness was different; the entire set weighed about seventy to eighty pounds. His left arm bore a piece of shield armor, and the spear prepared beside his armor was oversized. In his hands, it could even be mistaken for a meteor hammer. 0

The weight of his entire gear and weapons exceeded a hundred pounds, and he was the only one among them capable of wearing it. Naturally, no one contested him for it. 0

Left Guard maintained his calm demeanor, suppressing any excitement within because he knew that the real battle was about to begin. 0

"I found it! I found it! We found a Survivor!" The loud shout echoed throughout the temporary Gathering Place, and everyone leaned out to see the person running frantically down the street. 0

It was a man in his fifties or sixties, his face filled with excitement while others looked on with extreme envy. 0

It was impossible not to feel jealous; Chief Zheng Yifan had promised that the first team to find a Survivor within Ruiguan would each receive a hundred pounds of rice. 0

Of course, there were only five people in the team. At most, Zheng Yifan would give them zero pounds of food; how they divided it would be their own business. He wasn't everyone's babysitter and couldn't guarantee fairness for all. He could only ensure that under his leadership, this faction would strive to maintain fairness as much as possible within limited circumstances, giving people hope for survival. 0

Only by doing so could he secure his wealth in the real world. 0

Now, the gold in his hands exceeded a hundred pounds, and diamonds and jade ornaments were countless. He had about twenty luxury cars; although they couldn't be driven away, they were still dragged into the temporary Gathering Place to be exchanged for food. 0

Everyone grinned slyly, realizing that these items were utterly useless when simply discarded on the highway. 0

The news spread like wildfire throughout the temporary Gathering Place, with everyone envying that lucky soul who had stumbled upon this information. 0

"What’s going on? Where's the Survivor?" At the entrance of the General's Office, Zheng Yifan approached the team delivering the news. The five members looked disheveled but wore smiles on their faces. 0

"Ha... ha, Chief, we found those damn Survivors. They're hiding in the mountains to the northwest, near Cat Ear Mountain and Cat Ear Cliff. We've made initial contact with them; they are in desperate need of food and are willing to trade beast meat and rare metals, like emeralds, for it," the Beaked and Scruffy Explorer Team Leader exclaimed, his face filled with excitement. 0

Beast meat? That was a trap. After circling around in fear, if those lunatics hadn’t been counting on bringing food up to exchange for Gold and Silver Jewelry and emeralds, they would have already butchered each other. 0

Behind him, another short team member listened to his captain's words and stomped hard on his foot. The captain yelped in pain, glaring fiercely at him. 0

Seeing the expression on his teammate's face, he could only hang his head in defeat and tell the truth. 0

"Chief, those people are no good. The so-called beast meat we tasted was actually human flesh—young women's flesh. The method of preservation was quite skilled; they must have done this many times before. They also have simple weapons; although they can't compare to our Firestorm Team, they're much stronger than the Howling Wind Gathering Place. The iron tools they possess are meticulously crafted by blacksmiths. They even wear thick cloth armor, similar to ancient Cotton Armor." The captain rattled on like a bamboo tube spilling beans, and Zheng Yifan gradually understood the basic situation of that group. As for how he knew it was young women's flesh, that was open to interpretation; Zheng Yifan felt there was no need to dig into all those past details. As long as they didn’t do it again in the future, that would be enough. 0

Those Survivors were definitely not good people; they had reached the point of cannibalism. Moreover, they possessed considerable armed strength. Even more terrifying was that they had planted some strange man-eating flowers at the base of Cat Ear Cliff. Those flowers were particularly noteworthy; they usually didn’t attack but would bite off the heads of any Zombies that got too close, swallowing the Zombie Crystal s and then spitting out the heads. 0

Even Second-Level Zombies found it hard to defend against such ambushes. Thus, Cat Ear Cliff had become an excellent stronghold that was easy to defend but hard to attack, allowing them to survive until now. 0

Now that Zheng Yifan had arrived, he would not bring them any kindness. 0

Because they were no longer considered human; they were true beasts! 0
