The enormous shield resembled a continuous barrier, wielded with immense power as it swung outward. The strong recoil caused his body to tremble, yet the Left Guard remained undeterred. 0

He knew that if he didn’t charge forward now, he might never have another chance to do so again. A sense of vitality surged within him, as if powerful energy was being infused into his body. 0

Perhaps it was a moment of inexplicable enlightenment, like a drop of clear spring water flowing down his throat—refreshing and comforting. 0

The massive shield felt lighter as it pushed forward with great force. Around him, the barrier formed by Superpower expanded, and each Superpowered Individual could feel a connection to their own bodies, calling forth their inner Superpower. 0

In response, the Superpowered Individuals willingly offered their own Superpower as energy. They recognized this as the call of the Legion Commander and the Left Guard; that familiar essence of soul was unmistakable. The connection among the Superpowered Individuals prompted them to act without hesitation. 0

Threads of power converged together, accumulating like rivers merging into seas—an ancient truth that held true even now. Each person contributing a bit of their Superpower resulted in a vast reservoir of strength. 0

Countless Palm-Sized Shields gathered in the air, standing before the Gliding Zombies. 0

“Bang! Bang! Bang!” The sounds echoed continuously as the Gliding Zombies contorted their bodies to minimize their size, possessing formidable penetrating abilities. 0

What was most terrifying was the tremendous vibrating force they generated while flying, relentlessly penetrating through all defenses. 0

The Palm-Sized Shields were miniature versions of the Left Guard's shield, each imbued with immense strength and an unyielding force that held firm in the air. 0

For a moment, neither side could gain an advantage. Below, the Superpowered Individuals seized the opportunity to unleash their Super Ability Attacks on the airborne Gliding Zombies. As long as they could disrupt their momentum, these creatures would become mere fodder—less threatening than even Ordinary Zombies. 0

Unfortunately, while their intentions were noble, reality proved harsh. By the time they launched their attacks, the Zombies had already vanished from sight. 0

They would not sit idly by; they forced the Left Guard to continuously defend against their assaults. 0

A web of shields appeared in the sky. Although it couldn’t bind or attack, it restricted their paths of advance, forcing them to circle endlessly. 0

However, the Left Guard could not hold out much longer. He had never anticipated that this tactic would be so exhausting; all his mental energy was being drawn into it. Each shield required meticulous placement from him to form this grand array. If his focus wavered for even a moment, cracks would appear in his defenses, causing the entire barrier to collapse under its own weight. 0

The battle raged on outside; there were more than just these Gliding Zombies. The outermost Zombies in the Inferno had gradually evolved into a horde of bloated creatures that relentlessly consumed everything in their path. Nearby warriors employed various tactics to trample these Zombies. With supplies dwindling, their numbers continued to decline. Even those Zombies beneath the city walls seemed to be slowly peeled away layer by layer. Once defeated, they would naturally transform into Zombie Fluid. 0

The lower the Zombie, the more fragile they became. Having carried their companions for so long, their bodies had grown weak and soft. The lowest Zombie could barely move, reduced to acting as a mere step. 0

However, as long as they were not dead, even if they could not move, they continued to roar incessantly. Fluids dripped from their mouths, ready to attack any enemy that presented themselves. 0

Provided someone exposed their vulnerable parts in front of them. 0

In the distance, the massive Zombie launched another attack. The nutrients it had brought back from the previous assault had already restored much of its strength, and its body was gradually returning to a dark green hue. A thick layer of black powder covered the ground, remnants of its shed skin. 0

With immense power at its disposal, it could unleash devastating attacks, yet it refrained from recklessly charging in and instead allowed the ordinary Gliding Zombies to continue their Siege. 0

At the same time, Third-Stage Zombies began to appear, slowly advancing toward Ruiguan. The sight of thirty or forty Third-Stage Zombies was terrifying; their lethal potential sent shivers down the spines of every defending warrior. The maces at the ends of their tails were particularly intimidating. 0

The Left Guard desperately tried to fend off aerial assaults while the Firearm Espers dealt with the incoming Ordinary Zombies. The Third-Stage Zombies emerged among the ranks of Ordinary Zombies, not fighting alone. The Ordinary Zombies served as shields against the attacks from the Firearm Espers. Their maces swung continuously, building up power, filling the air with the sound of "whoosh" as they struck. 0

"First, take care of those things above!" The massive Zombie launched another wave of Gliding Zombies, this time nearly a hundred strong. Their numbers had actually increased slightly, indicating that the nutrients provided earlier had allowed it to replenish its forces. 0

How many of these Zombies were transformed from fallen comrades? 0

They did not know; all they understood was that they had to eliminate them now or face annihilation themselves. 0

The Firearm Espers fired almost without pause, while the Superpowered Individuals unleashed their own Superpowers. 0

Gradually, individuals with similar powers gathered together. It was almost instinctive; each team was assigned distances that were not too far apart. Most were grouped based on similar Superpower attributes. 0

Close to a thousand fire-wielding Superpowered Individuals crowded together. Fire was one of the most commonly used abilities among them, making it highly likely that many possessed the power to manipulate flames. 0

But now it was entirely different; it was as if thousands of sparks had converged into one place, gathering vast amounts of fiery Vital Energy. 0

Separated they were flames; united they became fire. A massive amount of flames slowly coalesced in the center of the crowd where a dozen or so Second-Stage Espers, also wielding fire-based Superpowers, stood ready. 0

At this moment, the omnipresent flames were felt more intensely than ever, as if the God of Flames had been resurrected. The flames around them were no longer silent; they erupted with a madness akin to a frenzied lunatic, carrying a force of destruction—only destruction, and the rebirth that follows it. 0

A powerful energy gathered around them, while other Superpowered Individuals became amplifiers for the release of Superpower. 0

Suddenly, a massive flame appeared above one person's head, slowly coalescing into a White Flame. 0

His Superpower was known as Eastern Luminous Pure Fire, a renowned Buddha Fire from the post-apocalyptic Buddhist teachings. However, during his training, he always felt that his Superpower was incredibly weak. If it weren't for this singular opportunity to become strong in a world turned upside down, he would never have pushed himself to train this seemingly ineffective Superpower—the tiny flicker of flame. 0

But today he saw hope. Although the flame in his hand was only the size of a palm, it remained stable and vibrant, pulsating with immense power. 0

As the Zombies approached from the air, the flames grew wilder and more ferocious, imbued with a sweeping force capable of annihilating everything. 0

In a daze, he recalled a line from post-apocalyptic poetry: "Suddenly startled by red glass, blooming in myriad colors. Buddha Fire does not burn objects; it wanders through fragrant emptiness." Eastern Luminous Pure Fire was indeed the legendary Buddha Fire. 0

Buddha Fire is compassionate; it does not consume all things. Yet within Buddhism exists the wrathful Vajra, and in the world of Eastern Glaze lies the divine fire that purifies the realm of Medicine Buddha. It possesses supreme divine power. 0

This unassuming Superpowered Individual was destined to soar today because he sensed an endless surge of great power descending upon this world, infused with five thousand years of incense and aspirations. 0

With the strength of thousands, he communicated a thread of pure fire from the Eastern Glaze world, fulfilling the grand vow to alleviate all beings' suffering and bring peace and joy to body and mind. 0

Before this flame, Zombies represented illness and torment—the root of all evil in the world and the source of suffering. 0

The immense flames danced in the air as if they had a spirit of their own. Suddenly, countless white flames erupted from within; each flame was faint yet brought joy to those who beheld it. 0

However, for Zombies, it was like the most potent poison. The flames slowly infiltrated their bodies, gradually consuming them from within. 0

Suddenly, on a Gliding Zombie in the sky appeared speckles of white power. This white energy seemed calm and peaceful at first but gradually made it seem as if the Zombie was being erased without a sound. Its form charged toward the shield below before slowly dissipating into nothingness as if it had never existed in this world. 0

The process was slow and gentle, resembling the softest force in existence. Yet for Zombies, it was lethal. More Zombies began to manifest White Flames on their bodies; gradually, as one Zombie was extinguished by the flames, the fire spread to others nearby. 0

One by one, they kept taking down the Zombies. The Superpowered Individual was gritting his teeth, drenched in sweat. The other Superpowered Individuals nearby had initially been able to use their Superpowers. 0

However, gradually, the power of the flames had surpassed everyone's ability to control their Superpowers. 0

The flames slowly began to dissipate. 0

The man in the crowd gradually collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath. 0

Meanwhile, the Eastern Luminous Pure Fire in the sky continued to burn. He was not the Lamp Buddha, lacking that indomitable spirit of swearing not to become a Buddha until hell was empty. Yet, the boundless Superpower, infused with millennia of willpower, continued to spread. Although its strength was waning, it still had an effect. 0

Perhaps it would take several hours before this fire truly vanished. 0

But he could no longer concern himself with that; having exhausted all his strength, he lay helplessly on the ground, striving to recover his Superpower as quickly as possible. 0

His name was Leihong. He lived for the lives and honor of his five brothers and carried everything that belonged to his brother who had died saving him. 0

The heavy burden on his shoulders constantly reminded him to survive, to grow stronger, and to carry on for his five brothers. (To be continued) 0
