Zheng Yifan left only a few words before departing, leaving behind a group of helpless individuals. They understood the urgency of the situation, but they never expected Zheng Yifan to leave so abruptly, without even a moment for small talk. 0

Among everyone, only Ladidia was aware of the danger they faced. Their numbers were merely in the thousands, while they were up against millions of Zombies. Even with weapons, they had little hope; moreover, they didn't even have enough. They had only managed to gather a few million bullets after scouring nearly all of Paris for supplies. This number was achieved only after clearing out various gangs, and they had already emptied nearby gas stations of gasoline and other essentials. Now, when it came to dealing with the Zombies, their options were severely limited. 0

However, seeing Zheng Yifan's demeanor clearly indicated that he had a plan. Ladidia immediately instructed her trusted aide to go down to the Cellar to retrieve weapons. This was crucial for their survival because she believed that Zheng Yifan would not lead them into a hopeless situation. The front lines had been completely reinforced; all the breached areas were blocked with large vehicles, and once those were filled, they used tables and chairs—everything that could obstruct the Zombies' advance had been employed. 0

At several lookout points near the courtyard wall, Ladidia anxiously observed the unfolding situation. 0

"Lady, the Mercenaries have finished collecting their weapons. Should we organize a unified deployment? In the underground Cellar, we discovered a large quantity of Ammunition and one hundred Machine Guns. These guns are unmarked and we've never seen them before, but they appear to be quite powerful. The bullet count is in the tens of millions. You know our Cellar; it's nearly the largest in all of France—more like a warehouse now—but it's almost filled to capacity with Ammunition," the Butler reported first. He explained Zheng Yifan's support to Ladidia. 0

Zheng Yifan would certainly not let them engage in a fight they couldn't win. He had begun supplying them with resources entirely; all they needed to do was achieve victory. 0

Tears welled up in Ladidia's eyes as she realized how much Ammunition was hidden in the Cellar. She had no idea it contained so much; however, she knew it had been sealed for months. During this time, she had been too busy for anyone at home to pay attention. 0

She feared that Zheng Yifan might have secretly sent someone to stash it away without her knowledge. 0

A woman's imagination could be astonishing; if Zheng Yifan knew about this, he would surely be surprised since he had just placed it there. 0

Regardless, on the walls, a large number of Mercenaries suddenly began to move. They transported Machine Guns to their firing positions, replacing their old Submachine Guns. Only through comparison could one appreciate the difference; the range and lethality of Machine Guns were incomparable to ordinary firearms. More importantly, the Machine Guns they now held were clearly modified; they bore markings indicating sustained fire times and were equipped with belt-fed ammunition systems that made reloading simple—any ordinary person could assist without issue. 0

Moreover, the optical sights on these guns appeared reliable. 0

The experience of using Machine Guns felt akin to wielding Sniper Rifles for them now. The optical sights weren't just for aiming; they came with clear usage guidelines. Bullets needed to sweep across the average height line of Zombies, targeting their heads as much as possible. The heads of the first row of Zombies aligned with the necks of those in the second row and the chests of those in the third row. Most importantly, the resulting crossfire created overlapping fields of fire that left almost no blind spots for anyone shooting. 0

In the distance, the idea of launching an attack was nothing more than a daydream, unless they resorted to aerial bombardment. Unfortunately, who would dare to use the missiles stored in the military base if they managed to capture it? 0

So, the threat overhead was merely a handful of people ready to strike at any moment. 0

The estate was situated on a hillside, surrounded by slopes on all sides. Zombies could attack from every direction, but in reality, being elevated gave the machine guns a far more terrifying killing power and a wide field of vision. The distant forest was inconsequential; it was merely fuel. The tanks were already filled with gasoline, ready to be ignited at any moment. As long as the zombies dared to approach, they would be burned alive. 0

When disaster struck, no one cared about environmental laws or protecting trees. The most important thing was to save their own lives; everything else was irrelevant. 0

As they stood ready for battle, those outside began preparing to retreat. They had never intended to lead the charge and sacrifice themselves; only those dozens of buses would be the ones to meet their end! Each bus was rigged with explosives, set to detonate once they reached the bottom of the estate. 0

The drivers of these buses were unaware of this fact, but with promises of substantial rewards, there were always some crazies willing to take on such tasks. 0

The sight of dozens of buses charging forward was truly spectacular, reminiscent of a public transport company. However, looking at the zombies trailing behind them, no one felt particularly cheerful. 0

At that moment, Zheng Yifan stood atop the highest point of the estate—a tall tower that seemed destined to be struck by lightning. Inside was a massive bell that rang at fixed intervals. 0

Zheng Yifan knew that this was part of the tradition of the Ladidia family; every member had to rise at specific times to carry out their plans without delay. Procrastination was not allowed. 0

This was also one reason why the Latidia Family thrived so successfully. They never wasted time; whatever they did, they committed fully. 0

Zheng Yifan had no interest in pondering over the Latidia Family's affairs; he only wanted to see if his subordinates truly possessed combat capabilities or if they had been deceiving him all along. 0

The battle erupted in an instant. Zheng Yifan watched as dozens of machine guns fired simultaneously; the familiar sound of bullets spraying filled him with exhilaration. 0

This is the weaponry obtained from the Weapon Cache at the Hope Gathering Place, all of which are unmodified and unusable in the Apocalyptic World; they can only be utilized in the real world. 0

The effects were quite impressive. The powerful Thermal Power created a Fire Net on the battlefield, forming an intersecting Thermal Power that resembled a massacre. Seventeen Millimeter Bullets pierced through their bodies, penetrated the bus, and even breached the Fuel Tank and explosives. 0

The intense explosions were a chain reaction; when one bus detonated, it was destined to take down others with it. Even from a thousand meters away, they had not anticipated that there would be a Machine Gun in the estate. The distant sounds of explosions reverberated, but they no longer had time to worry about that. They could only flee quickly, realizing that they were also caught in someone else's Fire Net. 0

Next, they experienced what it meant to be engulfed in rage. (To be continued) 0
