The figure vanished from the surface, leaving behind a black hole that was both wide and deep, obscuring any view of what lay within. Zheng Yifan seemed to have disappeared entirely. He was already prepared; the Hope Gathering Place was near the river, and all the Primordial Pearls were not buried in one location. The place he currently occupied was merely one of the core areas.
Underground, Zheng Yifan held his Silver Spear at the forefront. In Calamity, the Silver Spear had been buried deep beneath the earth, enduring thousands of years of solitude. His power underground was significantly enhanced, resonating more with the surface, making it incredibly swift to carve out space below.
Zheng Yifan could feel his body plummeting rapidly, soon descending dozens of meters below.
However, his target lay even deeper. He needed a safe location to securely hide the Primordial Pearls.
Gradually, Zheng Yifan sensed some peculiar plants emerging from the depths. These were plants that thrived underground, appearing as bizarre new life forms resembling tangled vines struggling to survive in the darkness. Their roots extended deeply into the earth, almost maddeningly so, continuing downward.
Zheng Yifan felt an increasing warmth; he was undoubtedly approaching the area of Magma. There, the heat from the Earth's core could protect the Primordial Pearls hidden below.
That was the strongest protective force. As Zheng Yifan continued his descent, he noticed that those plants were becoming more numerous.
He realized that these were not mere creatures but rather the rulers of the underworld—plants that thrived underground and fiercely eliminated all threats. Beside one such plant, Zheng Yifan saw a multitude of others, some clearly similar species whose roots had been severed by the dominant plant before him. Above them lay numerous corpses of various creatures.
Zheng Yifan understood that the war among these plants was far more terrifying than he had imagined. They fought for every available resource, claiming everything for themselves. If they thought they could let someone go without a fight, they were mistaken; they would eliminate anything they deemed a threat.
Yet Zheng Yifan's presence did not provoke their attacks because to them, he was merely an animal—a creature of the underground. Many animals coexisted with these plants; they did not seek to eliminate too many foes but would attack only those plants or animals that posed a threat.
Zheng Yifan marveled at these formidable fellows hidden beneath the surface; they were truly powerful beyond measure.
He gradually descended into some underground faults—fractures in the earth—encountering a subterranean cave that was so cramped it felt more like a dark trench than a cavern.
Without pausing for even a moment, Zheng Yifan continued his descent.
As his speed began to slow, he felt an increasing rise in temperature. The once solid ground and rocks transformed into a glowing red hue as he gradually caught sight of the Magma layer below. The surroundings began to open up like a vast Magma cavern with distinct layers. Slowly but surely, Zheng Yifan confirmed that he had reached the place he needed to be.
Here, it was certain that no one else could find this place, and it wasn't truly within Magma.
Only in this way could Primordial Pearl be ensured not to be taken away.
Before placing the Primordial Pearl, Zheng Yifan cleared a significant amount of space around him, truly creating a solid area.
He had walls obtained from several banks and many metal pieces piled up nearby. He also added a layer of plastic on the outermost part.
The plastic was nearly melting at this temperature, yet it wasn't actually melting.
In this makeshift storage space, he gradually piled up the surrounding area until there was only a downward exit left, at which point Zheng Yifan placed the Primordial Pearl inside.
That was the heaviest one in Zheng Yifan's hands, the Primordial Pearl obtained from the center of Deep City.
Its immense power and sufficient strength made the Hope Gathering Place the first to become a protected area. The resistance against the rules was strongest here, meaning all powers had already been rejected outside.
Firearms could be used, giving people a desperate hope and a chance to fight against Zombie. In the end, they would surely achieve victory.
Since the use of Superpower was limited, they had to apply their formidable Superpower strength in battles against strong Zombie. Only through combined attacks could they truly win.
They needed Firearms to clear out weaker Zombie, but more importantly, they needed Firearms to take down the larger Zombie, as they possessed many Missile, capable of eliminating numerous Zombie. The powerful attack strength was simply overwhelming. Any Zombie below the Fourth Stage could be taken down with direct hits.
After securely hiding the Primordial Pearl, Zheng Yifan knew he had to eliminate all forces that could enter the Vitality Tower.
There was a weak force on top of the Primordial Pearl, as if it were stored there.
With a gentle touch of Vital Energy, all information vanished.
In an instant, a powerful Vital Energy Fluctuation occurred; it was neither aggressive nor dispersive, and it lacked offensive power. It merely stabilized all rules and rejected those new local rules outside.
It felt as if the entire world began to shift.
Zheng Yifan's powers had begun to change, requiring a long period of time to fully transform.
He understood that he needed to completely erase the power he would use to enter the Vitality Tower. Only then could the power of the Primordial Pearl become complete, and it required coordination with other Primordial Pearls.
After sealing the entire metallic box, Zheng Yifan filled it with various materials, mostly plastic and other sealing substances.
He completely stored the Primordial Pearl away.
The interior was made of solid steel, ensuring that many situations would not damage the Primordial Pearl.
His next target was the underground plant from the former Wilderness Gathering Place, far away in Ancheng.
The entire process consumed a significant amount of time. Zheng Yifan had nearly exhausted all his strength, pushing his wings to their limits. He encountered numerous difficulties along the way, battling zombies in the air and those troublesome raptors that treated him like a monster, attacking fiercely. If it weren't for Zheng Yifan's significantly improved flying speed, he would have been unable to reach his destination.
After hiding the last Primordial Pearl deep underground in Ancheng, close to the Earth's core, Zheng Yifan finally felt the emergence of the powers from these Primordial Pearls.
Among them, the one in Ancheng was the farthest. Zheng Yifan needed this extension of power and didn't even glance at the influence he had left behind here.
