"I can agree to your request, but you must provide me with enough talent. At the very least, I need a team of financial experts consisting of at least one hundred people, along with a complete political system to serve as a concrete framework, and countless various data," Su Hao stated directly to Zheng Yifan without any hint of hesitation as he entered his area of expertise.
Zheng Yifan felt overwhelmed. He could handle frontline combat without any issues, but engaging in academic discussions with these experts was an entirely different matter that felt like a death sentence.
Without hesitation, Zheng Yifan chose to delegate all the data-related tasks to Eve.
He began to form a clear conclusion in his mind.
The people under his command were lacking in talent for their current endeavors. Su Hao had discovered this talent in Tokyo, where they were preparing for a major ceramics enterprise.
Halfway through the sniping mission, it was astonishing that those around him had turned into zombies. It was only thanks to the rescue from Hope Group that he managed to survive.
He clearly understood the way to preserve his life in this apocalyptic world, which allowed him to showcase his abilities.
The outcome was tragic. He had been assigned nearly impossible tasks by Zheng Yifan.
Completing an economic system for an entire country was an incredibly challenging task.
They all knew this deep down; they just didn’t dare to admit it. Zheng Yifan's authority loomed too large here.
They could only grit their teeth and desperately seek ways to invite more economic experts to refine this system.
At this moment, Zheng Yifan also had some thoughts; coming here like this was not feasible. He wanted more experts and scholars—more importantly, those capable individuals.
Hope Group had too few talents. Despite their wealth, true talent could not be easily hired. It wasn't a matter of price; it was a matter of time.
They simply did not have the time to invite so many people. Financial resources were just one aspect of the problem.
Now, as long as they save those people, they will gain their loyalty.
Of course, they could choose not to be loyal, but did they really have a choice?
Zheng Yifan called Berry's private phone.
"Hello, Boss!" It was evident that Berry was completely exhausted, both physically and mentally. He didn't have the capacity to manage so many things and was on the verge of breaking down. Zheng Yifan wasn't the only one with a Think Tank team.
Berry's own Think Tank team had grown to nearly several hundred members.
There was no choice. Berry had too much on his plate and needed more brains to truly realize his ideas.
"I've noticed that our group lacks talent. There are so many skilled individuals around the world. I'll send you a list and try to arrange for people to execute it. Protect them and make them useful for us," Zheng Yifan stated simply.
Berry understood what that meant.
To be useful for them meant that if these individuals dared to rebel, well, they would be shot without hesitation.
A chill ran through Berry's heart. Talent was crucial. Zheng Yifan had made it clear; he himself was also talented. It seemed that only by demonstrating loyalty and capability could one survive. At least he was doing well for now.
"Don't worry, the real talents in our group enjoy good benefits, as you know. The whole world is about to unify, and even those who want to resist don't have the strength," Zheng Yifan replied calmly.
Once everything was arranged, it would be up to Eve to compile data on the true talents around the world.
The number of people was absolutely enormous. Zheng Yifan couldn't handle it alone. Eve would gather information on their addresses and current locations.
Then they would use satellites to see if they could locate them.
They had phones, and even if the phones were turned off, they could still be located, as long as there was at least a little bit of power left.
Sure enough, Eve provided a massive list of names, which was then divided into groups of one hundred and passed on to Berry.
This number was already considered small. It consisted entirely of top talents or rare individuals that Zheng Yifan could utilize at this stage.
As for the others, such as writers, they were not included in the list. Their research was merely a facade; the future still required re-examination.
With the orders given, Zheng Yifan had to take action himself. The number of Zombie Crystal s had already exceeded one hundred million, allowing for considerable exchanges. More importantly, he needed more for development in this apocalyptic world and wanted to estimate how much time was left.
Even more crucially, Europe had descended into chaos; several countries were already at war—zombies, humans, and various nations were all entangled in conflict.
The situation was nearly chaotic. The entire world was engulfed in war.
Europe had a dense population, but it couldn't compare to Huaxia. Their density was relative; in Zheng Yifan's view, it still felt quite dispersed.
This led to the current situation.
Moreover, there were simply too many countries. The categorization of nations ultimately necessitated unification.
What Qin Shi Huang had done in the past was now unfolding in Europe.
However, Zheng Yifan needed to put a stop to them.
For now, he still had some tasks to complete—namely, truly entering Shengjing to see if there were any overlooked areas.
Upon stepping into Shengjing, he discovered that the streets were severely damaged and in disrepair.
Of course, this was Zheng Yifan's assessment in his heart. The damage was actually within a controllable range; as for the post-disaster reconstruction, that could be managed. The glass of the buildings on both sides of the street was truly gone, with almost every shop smashed open.
Food and supplies had long since disappeared. Even the stores had been completely looted.
Those crazed people were the most terrifying.
Zombies would not attack shops unless they discovered food, but humans were different; they craved wealth.
The banks had been thoroughly bloodied and emptied. They did not know that Zheng Yifan would change the currency, so they rushed into the banks thinking they had struck it rich.
Even gold would be worthless in the future; precious metals would turn into mere minerals. Diamonds would lose much of their added significance, as that was merely a result of commercial hype and habit. Their true practical value was minimal.
However, Zheng Yifan could still see the city engulfed in flames, witnessing the horror of fire. The inferno had already destroyed many areas of the city. Fortunately, the buildings had been constructed in zones, meaning that even if a fire broke out, it remained localized and did not spread.
Even so, post-disaster reconstruction was nearly impossible now.
Zheng Yifan didn’t care about all that; he had no intention of keeping Shengjing. Humanity's cities would need to be rebuilt from scratch in the future, but for now, everyone should move to Tourist City. All current cities would have to be transformed into farmland and pastures.
Food was far too scarce. (To be continued...)
