The Gathering Place seemed to have been reactivated, and the hope in people's hearts was growing stronger. They yearned to become Superpowered Individuals, eager to truly make a difference. 0

There were too many things they needed that they could no longer afford. Those who had once possessed some assets were now the most ambitious. They had some land outside the city, which they had now rented out at low prices to the poorest individuals. After their deaths, these lands would be sold cheaply anyway, so the prices were not very high, yet they still sold them, along with all the property in the Gathering Place. They needed to exchange for the New Hope Currency issued in the Gathering Place, of course, their exchanges were meant to purchase other goods. 0

All goods only accepted this fixed Currency. Clearly, those in Hope Gathering Place wanted their Currency to circulate, which was understandable; no one wished to use someone else's Currency at home. That would simply provide resources to others. 0

However, the items available for purchase were incredibly tempting. Aside from Essence, everything else could be bought. The most profitable items were Meat Products; while these were not considered anything special in a Post-Apocalypse world, they became high-end luxury goods in such dire times. There were also tobacco and alcohol, which could be sold to others in different Gathering Places. 0

To engage in business, they needed sufficient strength to ensure their wealth wouldn't be threatened. Thus, their thoughts turned towards the Gathering Place. 0

The warriors of the Explorer Alliance had begun arriving in large numbers. They were going out to trade and had opened the Northern Exit specifically to sell goods from Hope Gathering Place. They would never sell strategic materials; however, food was essential for sale, primarily to ensure that Common Survivors could survive—regardless of whether they might become enemies later on—at least ensuring a stable population. 0

Every individual who had struggled for three years in the apocalypse represented a resource; their survival was an achievement in itself. Those who were mediocre lacked the ability to navigate through such harsh conditions for so long. 0

Now, their lives held added value. In the Gathering Place, they could not only earn wealth through trade but also gain points from the Explorer Alliance. These points could lead to different identities and statuses within the Explorer Alliance and allow them to undertake high-profit missions distributed within the Gathering Place. 0

This was what they pursued; moreover, selling food was not a loss. In the apocalypse, food was the most valuable commodity—without exception. 0

They were not like the Lone Wanderers; those individuals hesitated to carry large amounts of supplies mainly because they feared being unable to transport them. Only high-value luxury items could fit all their wealth into a single backpack. 0

Members of the Explorer Alliance rented large trucks from the Gathering Place. They transported food in quantities of dozens of tons using modified vehicles equipped for combat and even armed with usable Firearms. They faced no issues regarding combat or rapid retreats. 0

The members of the Explorer Alliance, numbering four to five thousand, formed a large caravan, and those struggling in hardship naturally wanted to join them. 0

"Excuse me, brother, how can I travel with your caravan?" The one at the front was Old Liang, the boss of the Grain Store. He had sold all his family's grain early on and exchanged it for Low-Level Essence Fruit, which he then sold to the Gathering Place, making a substantial profit. It was only then that others realized that the most profitable items being purchased at the Hope Gathering Place were Essence Fruits. Ordinary people couldn't afford them, but their price wasn't actually very high. When he exchanged his goods, the price had dropped significantly, and at that time, the Gathering Place hadn't opened its exchange window yet. 0

Old Liang had indeed struck it lucky to sell at such a good price. 0

Now, he was even happier because he had exchanged for a case of liquor and many cans of meat, filling an entire large backpack along with two large travel cases—definitely a considerable weight. 0

Yet he still wore a smile on his face. 0

He had put all his possessions here to take a gamble. The canned food wasn't very expensive, but the liquor was quite pricey. 0

However, it didn't matter; he belonged to the well-informed group. He knew well how concentrated power was in other Gathering Places; those in high positions were wealthy individuals or possessed Essence Fruits. They had plenty of fruits in their hands, and they could certainly afford liquor. In fact, they had once offered 100 pounds of grain for a bottle of liquor. 0

Now that grain prices had dropped so much in Totenburg, exchanging for Essence Fruits would take up less space. 0

"You want to travel with our caravan? The escort fee is 0% of the total value of the goods traded. If you agree, head to the front to apply for membership in the Explorer Alliance's Totenburg branch. We are the Wolf Explorers Team!" One of the explorers spoke with a cigarette dangling from his mouth, showing signs of fatigue on his face. 0

They had been working hard for quite some time now; they had explored most of the Hope Gathering Place area already. The profits were minimal while the workload increased. Now that there was a new profit point, they could finally make some money. More importantly, they could buy a house in Hope Gathering Place. Houses there were incredibly expensive; aside from the initial Survivors, those who joined later had little chance to purchase one. Although prices were already high, they still hoped to buy because future prices would be even higher. That place was truly safe and served as the Heart of the entire Gathering Place, filled with factories where many goods could be purchased. 0

Seeing that this mercenary-like superpowered individual was lost in thought and didn’t dare to interrupt him, Old Liang simply nodded his head in gratitude before quickly heading to apply for membership in the Wolf Explorers Team at the Explorer Alliance branch. 0

This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. 0

The total value of the goods was at 0%! It sounded expensive, but in reality, it was all a lie; the prices were so low that he could hardly believe it. If the charges were at a reasonable percentage, it would still leave them with plenty of profit. 0

However, when he checked the information on the Explorer teams, he immediately felt a surge of joy that nearly shattered all his preconceived notions. 0

What kind of information was this? It was data on the Wolf Explorers Team guard members. While there were no detailed profiles, it still displayed the level of the opposing Explorer team and the combat power of its members. 0

Five members were classified as Superpowered Individuals at Level 5, 97 at Level 4, and 401 at Level 3. 0

A total of five hundred members in the guard team—this was simply unbelievable! Their combat power was more than enough to take down those Gathering Places! 0

What he didn't know was that this group of five hundred had combat power that was merely average among Explorer teams in the Hope Gathering Place, as they were not guarding against Survivors, but rather against Zombies and wild beasts. 0

Encountering high-level beasts without such combat power would be tantamount to seeking death. (To be continued.) 0
