In an instant, Buzzcut, who had just been flaunting his bravado, suddenly felt his body lose control, and the knife in his hand flew out, clattering to the ground.
Seizing the moment while the two bumbling kidnappers were stunned, Gu Fangchi grabbed a mop and jabbed it into Buzzcut's stomach. In pain and caught off guard, he barely had time to react before Wanwan's innocent voice chimed in with "I hit!" Buzzcut felt as if his shinbone was about to snap, howling as he was mercilessly beaten by the two little ones.
Meanwhile, Long Hair was seething with rage, gritting his teeth as he pulled out a handgun and began to load it. He aimed the gun at Wanwan, shouting, "Why aren't you hitting anymore? Keep making noise!"
Wanwan glanced at the ominous black object in Long Hair's hand. Although she didn't know what it was, her instincts told her it was dangerous. With one hand discreetly forming seals behind her back, she prepared to cast a spell.
Seeing the opportunity ripe for provocation, she taunted the smug Long Hair, saying, "Even if I don't move, you still can't hit me."
This infuriated Long Hair to the point of trembling; for the first time in thirty years, he felt belittled by a three-year-old child.
Frustrated, he pulled the trigger. The gunshot echoed loudly, startling the nearby police officers who had just walked a short distance away. They exclaimed in shock, "Oh no! That family really is in trouble!"
They berated themselves for not being more vigilant—what if someone got hurt because of this?
The sound of hurried footsteps grew louder as they rushed back, but upon reaching the entrance, they were horrified by the scene before them. Just a minute ago, the arrogant kidnappers were now kneeling on the ground, crying out for their mothers in front of two chubby little ones. Wanwan impatiently scolded them, "Why are you crying? Two grown men can't even compare to a little kid."
Officer He Qiong watched Wanwan's back and found her somewhat familiar. Tentatively, he called out, "Qin Wanwan?"
Upon seeing that it was He Qiong—the officer who had helped her find her father—Wanwan happily waved hello. Meanwhile, the two kidnappers just wanted to be taken away as quickly as possible.
This little brat was simply too uncanny; not only could bullets not hit her, but she also spun them around until they felt nauseous.
Eager to escape from this "monster," they confessed without hesitation about their kidnapping of the child.
He Qiong patted Wanwan's soft head in disbelief at witnessing such a bizarre situation after years on the job.
At that moment, Gu Fangchi stepped forward to testify that he was the target of the kidnappers and that Wanwan was merely caught up in it.
He Qiong turned to Wanwan and asked, "Is that true?" But Wanwan ignored him completely.
He Qiong approached and took Gu Fangchi's small hand in his own, declaring loudly, "He's not just caught up in this; he volunteered! And he's very happy to have protected Gu Fangchi today."
Hearing this warmed Gu Fangchi's heart as he gazed at the adorable and cuddly Wanwan, momentarily lost in thought.
Once everything was resolved, He Qiong took the little ones back to the police station and notified their families to come pick them up. However, it seemed that using her powers had exhausted Wanwan; she kept yawning repeatedly.
Sitting beside him, Gu Fangchi was still feeling guilty. The image of Wanwan being threatened with a gun made his heart race as if it might stop altogether.
Blushing, he wanted to thank Wanwan, but when he turned around, he found that she had already fallen asleep against his shoulder, drooling all over him.
At that moment, Officer He Qiong approached them. Gu Fangchi quickly asked if they could leave, but the response was that they would have to wait a little longer.
Their conversation woke Wanwan from her slumber. She hurriedly asked, "Did they catch the bad guys?"
He Qiong smiled and explained, "It will take a little more time. During the interrogation of the kidnappers, we learned that a woman offered five million as a deposit for them to go to the capital and kidnap a child."
He Qiong believed there were still many unanswered questions in this case and wanted to ask them about certain details, such as how a knife ended up embedded in the wall. Wanwan raised her hand and proudly demonstrated, "It just went whoosh and flew right in!"
This revelation shocked both men beside her.
He Qiong discreetly asked Gu Fangchi if what Wanwan said was true. Gu Fangchi helplessly nodded. He Qiong took a deep breath; it seemed this girl was indeed extraordinary.
Then he asked Wanwan, "What happened to the talisman paper you gave me? How did it suddenly disappear?"
Wanwan looked surprised as she took a look and realized it had burned away. Pouting, she pointed at He Qiong and scolded him for not listening to her; the talisman had helped him avoid a deadly fate.
He Qiong suddenly recalled something. During their last pursuit of a criminal, they had been shot at, but the bullet had inexplicably changed direction, allowing him to escape unharmed.
Connecting this with what he had heard about Wanwan's master being from a special department helped him understand her unique abilities better.
At that moment, He Qiong received news that Wanwan's parents were arriving soon.
Upon hearing this, Wanwan grabbed Gu Fangchi's hand and ran outside. However, Gu Fangchi stumbled and nearly fell. Wanwan hurriedly asked with concern if he was okay, but her worried expression was misinterpreted by Gu Fangchi as mockery.
He had become disabled due to an accident when he was one year old and had faced ridicule from others since childhood. As a result, he always walked slowly to hide his physical shortcomings.
Gu Fangchi knelt on the ground and shouted loudly, "It's none of your business!"
This startled Wanwan. Being clever, she quickly realized that Gu Fangchi had misunderstood her intentions. She stepped forward and took his hand, explaining, "I didn't mean to look down on you; I was just thinking about how I could help heal your leg."
With sparkling eyes, Wanwan confidently assured him, "I have great abilities! I really can heal your leg!"
Just then, Qin's Dad and Gu's Dad rushed into the police station after receiving news. Wanwan immediately cried out and flew into her father's arms. Qin's Dad looked at her with concern and asked, "Precious Daughter, are you hurt?"
Wanwan gently wiped the tears from her father's eyes, comforting him, "I'm fine, really."
Suddenly, Qin's Dad turned his head and saw Gu Fangchi. The unspoken understanding between father and son sent a chill down his spine; they were indeed very polite with each other.
In the next moment, his thoughts were interrupted by a police officer who came to inform them about the kidnapping situation, assuring them that the investigation would continue.
However, Wanwan was staring intently at Gu's Dad.
"Uncle Gu doesn't look too well."
Gu's Dad was curious as to why Wanwan was watching him so closely.
Wanwan pointed at him and explained, "Uncle Gu, I can see that your aura is dark and you're surrounded by negative energy. You might be in danger!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Qin's Dad affectionately began to introduce his Precious Daughter.
Before he could finish, Wanwan dashed outside, saying, "Uncle Gu, don't worry! Wanwan will make sure you live a long life!"
Watching his Precious Daughter go out to spread warmth to others, Qin's Dad felt a wave of sadness wash over him, tears streaming down his face as he suddenly felt a draft coming through his little cotton jacket.
Wanwan had no time to comfort her sad father; instead, she sweetly approached Gu's Dad to discuss her terms.
