I looked down at my school uniform, a shy smile creeping onto my face as I touched my ear. "Sister Zhang Yang, what a coincidence! By the way, I have to go back to school for evening study, so I'll be leaving now!" 0

As I finished speaking, I turned to leave. At that moment, Zhang Yang placed a hand on my shoulder and said seriously, "Jiang Ling, you can go! But when you head back to school, be careful. Never walk alone in deserted places!" 0

Zhang Yang wasn't specifically here to check for minors in the internet café; she had received a report about a fugitive murder suspect spotted nearby. That's why she was here. 0

Hearing that Zhang Yang was willing to let me go, I nodded eagerly. "Don't worry, I'll head back to school right away and definitely won't wander around outside!" 0

As I left, I noticed that the eerie aura surrounding Zhang Yang was much stronger than yesterday. I wanted to warn her about it, but considering she wouldn't believe me, I decided against it. I thought that if something strange happened to her, she might remember what I said. 0

After watching me leave, Zhang Yang patrolled a few more nearby internet cafés but still couldn't find the murder suspect. Just as she was about to head to the next café, her walkie-talkie crackled to life. 0

"Captain Zhang! This is Team Three. We’ve spotted the suspect at Bobcat Internet Café on North Street! Requesting instructions!" 0

Excitedly, Zhang Yang grabbed her walkie-talkie and replied, "Team Three, stay put. The rest of the teams head straight to Bobcat Internet Café!" 0

Ten minutes earlier, Lan Yue had fled from Galaxy Internet Café. Instead of returning to school, he continued on to Bobcat Internet Café. 0

Bobcat Internet Café was located at the end of a narrow alley on North Street, where very few people went online. The police rarely patrolled that area. 0

As Lan Yue stepped into Bobcat Internet Café, he noticed that the temperature inside was seven or eight degrees cooler than outside—a refreshing chill that felt somewhat uncomfortable. 0

He rubbed his arms and muttered, "Whatever, let's just play a game first!" 0

Seeing that there were hardly any people in the café, he casually chose a computer and walked up to the front desk. "Boss, I’d like to rent Computer 15 for the night!" 0

The network administrator of the café was a chubby man in his thirties who lay motionless on the desk, ignoring Lan Yue. 0

"Hey, boss! I'm talking to you!" When Lan Yue saw that the network administrator wasn't responding, he angrily slapped the man's arm. 0

Lan Yue's hand brushed against the arm of the Network Administrator, and he realized that the Network Administrator's body was completely cold, as lifeless as a corpse. 0

"What the hell is going on?!" Lan Yue exclaimed, startled. He took a closer look at the Network Administrator slumped over the desk and noticed a pool of liquid beneath his head. The dim lighting had obscured his view earlier, and he had thought it was just drool. 0

As he stared at the unresponsive Network Administrator, a sinking feeling began to settle in his chest. Lan Yue's heart raced; he was on edge, swallowing hard before taking a deep breath. 0

At that moment, he caught a faint whiff of blood in the air, which only confirmed his fears. Trembling, Lan Yue pulled out his phone from his pocket and turned on the flashlight to illuminate the scene. 0

"Oh my God!" Lan Yue gasped as he saw a gaping hole the size of three fingers in the left cheek of the Network Administrator. His left eye hung out of its socket, while the right side of his face was soaked in blood pooling on the desk. The expression on his face was one of agony, his eyes filled with terror. 0

Cold sweat broke out on Lan Yue's back as he bolted toward the exit of the internet café. He spotted someone still playing games at the entrance and rushed over, grabbing that person and urgently shouting, "Hey! Someone's dead here! We need to get out!" 0

The person was yanked from their chair and fell to the ground. It was then that Lan Yue noticed this individual was covered in blood; there was a hole in their chest where their heart had been ripped out, and intestines hung out in segments. This person was also dead. 0

Suppressing the urge to vomit, Lan Yue turned and ran outside. Just then, he saw two police officers approaching him with guns drawn. 0

"Officer! Help!" Lan Yue cried out, feeling a glimmer of safety as he called to the officers outside. 0

These two officers were under Zhang Yang's command, part of the third team. Earlier, they had seen a suspect enter Bobcat Internet Café and decided to wait outside after notifying Zhang Yang to avoid alarming anyone inside. 0

A minute ago, their view had been blocked by a passing truck, preventing them from seeing Lan Yue sneak into Bobcat Internet Café. By the time they realized what had happened, they heard Lan Yue's scream echoing from within. 0

To ascertain what was happening, they cautiously entered Bobcat Internet Café with their guns drawn. 0

"Come over here!" Upon hearing Lan Yue's cries for help, they quickly made their way toward him. 0

"Above you!" Lan Yue shouted as he noticed a shadow falling from the ceiling right above the two officers' heads. 0

Lan Yue's reminder came just in time, as the two police officers swiftly dodged the falling debris. One of them shone his flashlight towards the ceiling, while the other directed his beam at the shadow on the ground. Both only found some bloodstains and nothing else. 0

At this moment, Lan Yue had already run to the side of the two officers. Although he felt immense fear inside, seeing the two police officers nearby provided him with a slight sense of reassurance. 0

Lan Yue briefly recounted the situation inside the internet café. After listening, the two officers frowned and quickly used their walkie-talkies to call for Zhang Yang and urged him to come over quickly. 0

Once they finished these tasks, the two officers began to lead Lan Yue outside while shining their flashlights around. At that moment, they noticed a black feather on the ground that hadn’t been there before. One officer reached down to pick it up and remarked curiously, "How did a feather end up here?!" 0

"Look over there!" Lan Yue pointed out something that had landed above the entrance of the café. The two officers shone their flashlights in that direction and saw a crow perched there. 0

Lan Yue noticed that this crow had three eyes and was observing them with an unnervingly human-like gaze, showing no signs of fear. 0

Feeling uncomfortable under the stare of the Three-Eyed Crow, Lan Yue exclaimed, "What a strange crow!" 0

"Let's get out of here!" The two officers dismissed the Three-Eyed Crow and continued leading Lan Yue outside. 0

Suddenly, the Three-Eyed Crow let out a caw. Initially, Lan Yue and the officers didn’t think much of it, but soon after, they heard a commotion coming from inside the café. 0

Turning back to look, they were horrified to see that the deceased Fat Network Administrator, along with the boy whose intestines were hanging out, and others from the café were all standing up and walking toward them. 0
