I stared blankly at the coffin, knowing that whatever was inside was about to emerge. My heart raced, almost leaping into my throat; the anticipation was the most terrifying part. 0

A sense of unease gnawed at me, an ominous premonition... 0

Could this be the Uncorrupted Bones? The Broken Surface Pattern I detected outside the tomb led to this creature? 0

Clang! 0

Zhengyang drew his Pure Jun Sword, fixating on the coffin as he shouted at me, "That thing is about to come out! Get ready!" 0

As soon as he finished speaking, the nails on the Coffin of Yanzi began to pop out one by one. Finally, with a loud crash, the coffin lid flew off, releasing a thick white mist that obscured my vision. Within the White Mist stood a slender black shadow, motionless and eerie. 0

The moment the mist began to dissipate marked one of the most nerve-wracking times of my life. My heart raced faster and faster, cold sweat pouring from me as I prayed not to see what I dreaded. When I finally discerned what it was, my body went weak, and I found myself frozen in place. 0

"Quick! Use the copper seal on it!" Zhengyang shouted urgently. But before he could finish, he yelled in frustration, "No! The copper seal won't work on this thing!" 0

It was a massive centipede-like creature, long and enormous—its length combined with that of the coffin made it at least three or four meters long. It raised half its body like a snake, its eyes glowing red and hollow. Its large venomous fangs and long antennae were enough to send chills down anyone's spine. With countless long legs, the giant insect remained still, as if sniffing for something. 0

As the saying goes, "Where there are poisonous creatures, there is an antidote." For instance, in battles between sperm whales and giant squids. The centipede's natural enemies included roosters above ground and venomous snakes below. Suddenly, I heard loud thuds from beneath the coffin—bang! bang! bang! The sound resembled a bellowing cow but carried an eerie undertone that hinted at some ferocious beast. 0

From beneath the coffin emerged a small toad, no more than two inches long, its body a deep crimson like blood, its eyes gleaming with golden light. It emitted a sound akin to a bull's roar. It turned out to be Manggu Zhuha Wang. The centipede leaped up and spewed red mist as it lunged at the toad, biting down on its back. The toad flipped over and kicked its legs a few times before managing to latch onto the centipede and began to suck fiercely. The giant centipede curled up tightly around the toad but surprisingly did not attempt to escape; instead, it charged forward with its body and bit down hard on the centipede's head, tearing off a large chunk. The centipede struggled desperately and moved swiftly to escape. The toad chased after it several times but failed to catch it as the centipede slipped back into the coffin. The toad followed suit. 0

Crack! Two sharp sounds echoed... 0

The centipede had been bitten in half; the toad was tightly grasped by a skeletal hand that held it immobile. A frail old man crawled out of the coffin—he looked almost like a living person but was incredibly emaciated. He easily captured the head of the centipede and without any struggle choked it to death. 0

He climbed onto the coffin and sat cross-legged. He stuffed the centipede into his mouth and chewed slowly before taking another bite of the toad. Calm and composed, he exuded an overwhelming aura as if he were oblivious to our presence. Once he finished eating, he let out a loud belch and leisurely crawled down from the coffin, swaying as he approached me. 0

What kind of monster is this? So fierce... That centipede had lived for hundreds of years and could easily take down an elephant. The toxic toad was a king in nature itself. Yet this Old Man consumed them silently as if they were mere roadside snacks. 0

"Whoever you are, Poor Daoist will not let you leave today!" 0

Zhengyang roared fiercely as he swung his sword at the creature. It did not evade; instead, its hands clamped down on the blade like pincers with immense strength. Zhengyang pulled with all his might but couldn't budge it; beads of sweat rolled down his forehead as his face turned pale. 0

"I can't believe it, this thing is terrifying, like a divine being!" 0

"Don't be afraid, don't be afraid!" The entity gently snatched the Pure Jun Sword and casually tossed it to the ground, waving at me and Zhengyang with a particularly friendly demeanor. 0

"What the hell! Zongzi can be friendly too? What on earth is this?" I thought to myself, as that fellow actually spoke, "In your words, I am called Uncorrupted Bones. In my words, it's Immortal Body!" 0

According to the Mausoleum Secrets, "Uncorrupted Bones do not enter Reincarnation; they linger between life and death as the Yellow Springs' guide. Their corpses do not decay for a hundred years and transform into Zombies, exuding a thick aura of death and an unsolvable Corpse Poison, eerie and terrifying!" It was accompanied by an illustration reminiscent of ancient texts, utterly horrifying and chilling! 0

However, this entity before me was not much different from Old Wang next door who played chess. 0

You might even mistake him for an elderly man dancing in the square. 0

Clang! 0

Suddenly, the coffin beside us exploded. A pale arm shot out from inside and slapped Zhengyang hard on the chest, sending him flying against the wall. I quickly reached out to grab him, but an overwhelming force surged towards me that I couldn't resist. I was pulled back several dozen steps by Zhengyang, who then coughed up a mouthful of blood. 0

What the hell! The creature in that coffin was so powerful that even someone as formidable as Zhengyang was injured! What on earth was in that coffin? Confused, I stared intently at Uncorrupted Bones. The old man hurriedly waved his hands, "I don't know this person!" I thought to myself, "With two coffins side by side, you've been neighbors for at least a thousand years and you don't recognize him?" 0

"Who would believe that?" 0

"The creature in that coffin is at least a Flying Corpse!" 0

Flying Corpse? 0

The Mausoleum Secrets recorded: After a person dies and is buried in Corpse Raising Ground, if white hair sprouts all over their body, they will suck the blood of livestock; that's called White Zombie. After hundreds of years of consuming animal blood, the white hair will recede and black hair will grow; that's called Black Zombie. After Black Zombie consumes the blood of cattle and sheep for hundreds of years, the black hair will fade away, restoring human appearance. When they move, they bounce around; that's called Jumping Corpse. After consuming human blood for hundreds of years, they can transform into Flying Corpse. Flying Corpse can absorb sunlight and moonlight without fear of daylight; they become almost like Monsters capable of mass murder and destruction! 0

Above Flying Corpse is the nearly demonic Drought Demon!! 0

"What the hell! Is there something wrong? Such a powerful being doesn't need a Bronze Coffin to contain it? Just that rotten wooden coffin? Is this sorcerer out of his mind?" 0

Uncorrupted Bones seemed to understand my thoughts and smiled, "No, no water in my brain! I chose to hide inside the Bronze Coffin; it's quiet in there! I have no idea when that fellow will come!" 0

"Seriously! Who would believe such nonsense?" I thought. "If you need to be contained by a Bronze Coffin, what good could you possibly be?" This tomb chamber was sealed quite well; even the rotten wooden coffin hadn't moved. Had he already cultivated into a Flying Corpse? Could it be due to the Killing Intent cultivated within these Nine Deadly Tombs? 0

The figure in the coffin suddenly sat up, its face as pale as death, yet it bore no difference from a living person. Those ghastly green eyes fixed on me, as if I were surrounded by a hundred beasts in a dark jungle. 0

“Roar!!” 0

The Flying Corpse flew out, letting out a roar that pierced the air like nails scraping against glass—sharp and terrifying. 0

In a fit of rage, the Flying Corpse clawed at the coffin, splintering the wood into dust; the entire coffin was reduced to ruins, leaving only a pile of sawdust on the ground. I thought to myself, “Brother, they say one should establish a home before starting a career. You’ve destroyed your home right at the start—what determination you must have!” 0

Zhengyang shouted loudly and pushed me aside, brandishing the Pure Jun Sword as he charged forward. 0

I watched as Zhengyang engaged in fierce combat with the Flying Corpse. They exchanged hundreds of blows, neither side gaining the upper hand. After a hundred exchanges, Zhengyang’s Daoist Robe was torn into shreds, and he gradually fell into a disadvantage. I drew my Azure Dark Sword and rushed to support him. The clash of our white and blue sword lights was intense; that white hand managed to grip both our swords as if they were embedded in stone, rendering me completely immobile. Zhengyang seemed to fare slightly better, still able to hold his ground. 0

The Flying Corpse roared in fury and gripped the tip of my sword, lifting me off the ground effortlessly. We all knew that even lifting a bamboo pole with outstretched arms wouldn’t last long under such force. The strength of the Flying Corpse was astonishing; it held me up with one hand while Zhengyang’s sword struck its body without inflicting any harm. 0

With a violent toss, the Flying Corpse threw me to the ground, leaving me momentarily paralyzed while it turned to fight Zhengyang alone. Zhengyang’s movements became erratic; he was clearly losing ground and had backed up against the wall. The Flying Corpse leaped into the air, its claws extending ominously as it aimed to grab Zhengyang’s Spirit Cap, intending to sink its five fingers into it. Ignoring my pain, I jumped up and wrapped my arms around the waist of the Flying Corpse. It felt like embracing a block of ice—cold to the bone. I gritted my teeth and refused to let go. The Flying Corpse swung its elbow back violently against my back. I opened my mouth and spat out a mouthful of black blood, giving Zhengyang a brief chance to catch his breath. 0

Caught between two threats, both Zhengyang and I focused intently on the Flying Corpse. Suddenly, a shadow flashed past us and appeared before us—it was the Uncorrupted Bones. It raised its hands, eyes gleaming with malice as it lunged toward us. 0

With our attention consumed by the Flying Corpse, we had no way to deal with this new threat from the Uncorrupted Bones. It seemed our time was running out. Well then, after eighteen years, I would still be a good man! 0
