Evil Spirits, I have seen plenty of them and am not particularly affected by such things. Demons, most of the time, it’s best not to provoke them; otherwise, we can coexist peacefully. However, I had no idea what might emerge from this Bush. Just now, that big guy hadn’t completely died yet, and another enemy popped up; it was simply life-threatening. 0

Finally, that thing came out. It was a grayish-black mass, not much bigger than a palm, looking around in confusion. In the next moment, it caught a whiff of something, perked up its nose, and its gaze quickly fixed on the severed arm lying on the ground. Its eyes immediately sparkled with excitement. 0

The creature let out a bark and drooled profusely as it rushed over… 0

It dashed like lightning, leaping onto the severed arm of the Ape Monster and began to feast. 0

Its tiny mouth suddenly expanded wider and wider until it stretched to four or five meters long, exaggerated like a large trumpet. Its pink tongue transformed into a barbed blood-red appendage, while its cute baby teeth turned into sharp steel blades. Then, from the throat of this terrifying maw, a massive white bone that had been licked clean was expelled… 0

In an instant, it joyfully hopped around. 0

Before long, its eyes were darting around again, fixated on the Ape Monster. 0

Suddenly sensing something was off, I felt a jolt of alarm and quickly turned my head to look. To my surprise, just a few meters away, the one-armed Ape Monster had stopped roaring and was cowering behind a rock like a frightened child, trembling and making whimpering sounds… 0

In the blink of an eye, that creature spun around the Ape Monster like a flash of lightning. 0

About fifteen or sixteen minutes later, the Ape Monster vanished without a trace. In its place stood a complete skeleton frame; the white bones were devoid of any flesh, resembling the fossilized remains of some large animal that had weathered for millions of years… 0

That creature stood atop the skeleton, licking its tongue in satisfaction. 0

“Damn…” 0

I was stunned at that moment; even looking at this left me somewhat speechless. 0

“Bro! It’s me!” 0

That grayish mass actually spoke! I recognized it? But with that reminder, I recalled completely. “Isn’t this Furball?” 0

“Furball, how did you end up here? I thought you were dead!” 0

"Brother! You're just cursing me; the calamity that follows will surely be bad luck. I, Furball, am a divine beast—how could I possibly drown in the sea? I was riding a dolphin around the nearby islands, searching for you! Look at me, my pure white fur is all dirty now!" 0

Furball recounted some of its experiences, and I felt a wave of emotions wash over me. At that moment, I truly thought it had perished. In the vast ocean, where could I possibly find it? 0

I picked up Furball and found a stream to wash it thoroughly. The entire pool turned dark with dirt; it was as if I could write calligraphy with the water. 0

We crossed a ridge and discovered four corpses on the ground. They were dressed strangely, their meridians severed, and blood pooled around them. It was clear they had been manipulated by the Ape Monster's Shaman. 0

After walking for half an hour, we finally arrived at the Eye of the Earth, the place where Nikola's body was sealed. 0

It was a simple cave, completely unguarded. However, I could feel an intense Eerie Energy emanating from within, almost penetrating my Skeleton and sending chills through my body. 0

Upon entering the tomb chamber, the bowl let out a startled cry; its volume was astonishing! 0

The tomb passage was quite ordinary. As we traversed a narrow passageway that required us to crawl through, we suddenly emerged into a spacious area resembling a burial chamber, faintly glowing with an eerie light. 0

In one corner of the chamber stood an Incense Table, upon which lay a newborn baby. The baby was biting onto its umbilical cord and stretched its arms toward us as if asking for a hug—how bizarre! 0

At the sight of this baby, goosebumps erupted all over me. However, I calmed myself and observed closely for a while, realizing that the baby did not move at all; it didn't seem like a ghost! 0

The chamber was somewhat dim, making it hard to see Taiqing clearly. Yet this dim light did not hinder my observation of the tomb; I held Furball tightly in my arms. Suddenly, a yellowish metallic sheen reflected from the corner, allowing me to see that it was actually a golden-plated baby statue. Perhaps buried underground for too long, its forehead and belly were covered in oxidized impurities from the gold, resembling moldy green spots. Nevertheless, it was crafted so realistically that I lit a torch to examine it closely—it truly looked like a living baby squatting on that Incense Table! 0

"This thing is called the Gilded Ghost True Body!" 0

Furball couldn't help but exclaim, "This seems to be a method used during the Tang Dynasty in Vajrayana Buddhism to deal with infants who died prematurely. The souls of these infants have endured countless trials in the Underworld and finally cleared their past debts to earn a chance at reincarnation. However, if they unexpectedly die shortly after being reborn into an infant's body, their resentment will be immense—perhaps even greater than that of those who died tragically! During the Tang Dynasty, when Vajrayana Buddhism spread to China and became popular among members of the royal family due to their chaotic private lives leading to many premature deaths of infants, Tangmi monks had to resolve these karmic issues by gilding dead infants' bodies. This way, they could seal the infant's ghost within its corpse to prevent it from causing harm as a Ghost Infant. These gilded infant corpses are called Gilded Ghost True Bodies. The Tangmi monks would place these Gilded Ghost True Bodies before Buddha statues for day and night offerings and recite scriptures to pacify them. Once the resentment dissipated, they would burn the Gilded Ghost True Body!" 0

"This method later spread to Siam—now known as Thailand—and then through the Strait of Malacca to the South Pacific Islands." 0

"How do you know all this?" 0

"Brother! If you don't know about The Record of Bai Ze's Spirits, I have some knowledge about these supernatural matters!" Furball said proudly. 0

I had indeed heard of this; it seems there are many methods of Refining. Some involve digging up graves to use Corpse Oil for Refining, while others soak materials in water for Boxwood Refining. The most ruthless method reportedly involves opening the coffin of a woman who died during childbirth to extract the Child Corpse for cultivation. The ghosts produced by such methods are particularly domineering, but these practices come with risks. Refining such ghosts can severely deplete one's vitality, potentially shortening a Necromancer's lifespan significantly. Therefore, unless one is an exceptionally extreme Necromancer, most people would avoid such practices. 0

This tomb chamber was incredibly eerie; there were no coffins, only an Incense Table with a Golden Corpse enshrined upon it. It seemed that this chamber was specifically prepared as a resting place for the dead infant. I speculated whether this golden-bodied ghost was meant to seal away Nikola's American Ginseng, preventing it from causing harm to others. 0

I couldn't quite understand whether this thing was evil or not. Since it hadn't attacked us, I had no intention of disturbing it. 0

As I pondered these thoughts, a loud rumble echoed through the empty tomb chamber as a stone door on the southern side unexpectedly opened! 0

So that was where the Tomb Gate lay! 0

"Let's go!" 0

I waved at the bowl and stepped into the next chamber first. 0

This chamber appeared to have been deliberately filled with seawater. Moreover, the way the seawater was infused made it nearly impossible to discern its significance unless one were inside. There was definitely a formation laid out within the seawater, and it was of a particularly vicious kind, using the water to conceal its presence. If normally one would lose fifty points of energy over a year, now they could only lose one or two points. It was not only evil but also exceedingly cruel. 0

The arrangement of the tomb chamber was quite simple; however, there were large murals on the walls that resembled those seen in Desert Eye. What truly piqued my interest was the stone tablet in the center of this Preparation Room and the murals surrounding it! 0

Only by deciphering the content on it could I begin to grasp the essence of this so-called Nikola's sealing tomb. 0
