In the desolate urban area, Chu Donglin rode calmly on the back of White Wolf. 0

White Wolf's speed was not particularly fast, but in the current apocalyptic cityscape, it was a speed that most people could only dream of. 0

As he left Liushan Shu's Resort, the sun had already set. 0

When he rode White Wolf onto the Li River Bridge, night had just begun to fall. 0

Under the night sky, the Li River Bridge had an eerily calm atmosphere. 0

The five-kilometer-long Li River Bridge appeared as a long black serpent stretching across the wide surface of the Li River. 0

There were not many Zombies on the bridge; most were abandoned cars sprawled across the pavement, resembling a horrific disaster scene. 0

A few Zombies wandered aimlessly on the bridge but could not navigate through the tangled wreckage of cars, mostly wandering in confusion within a limited space. 0

On either side of the bridge, the streetlights that would usually illuminate the night were now dark, with only the cold silver light of the moon casting its glow here. 0

Basking in this faint silver moonlight, White Wolf beneath Chu Donglin began to stir slightly, its fur rippling like waves in a breeze. The snow-white coat shimmered with specks of brilliant silver, looking exceptionally beautiful. 0

"Wow! Big Brother, your Big Dog is so cool! Can I pet it?" 0

A familiar voice called from above. Chu Donglin looked up sharply to see two girls standing on a tall streetlight, grinning down at him. 0

Snow White's long dress danced gently in the night wind, and as the hem lifted slightly, Chu Donglin could vaguely see her legs clad in white cotton socks. The graceful curve of her thighs and... 0

"Yes, Big Brother! The Big Dog is really beautiful. Can Keara pet it just once? Just once is enough." 0

With an expression full of anticipation that clearly suggested more than just once, Chu Donglin couldn't help but smile. 0

"You two girls really are persistent... What's this? Do you enjoy sticking around me so much? Are you interested in this talking zombie?" 0

The two girls exchanged glances and giggled. Then, they vanished from the streetlamp and appeared right in front of Chu Donglin in an instant. 0

With the sudden addition of two passengers on its back, White Wolf felt a bit restless. 0

However, Chu Donglin calmed its anxious emotions through their mental link, allowing it to pause by the roadside for the time being. 0

Standing on White Wolf's back in the middle of the bridge, feeling the cool river breeze, Chu Donglin looked at the two girls before him and shook his head with a smile. 0

"The sun has set; it's the time when Second-Stage Zombies are active. Aren't you afraid of running around outside and getting caught and eaten by a Zombie?" 0

The two girls grinned at him, each wrapping an arm around his. "But we have Big Brother to protect us, right? You're so amazing, Big Brother; with you around, who could possibly hurt us?" 0

"I'm just a weakling too. If a Second-Stage Zombie shows up, I’d only be able to run away. How could I take care of both of you? It seems like I should rely on you two to protect me instead." 0

Chu Donglin shook his head and smiled lightly. "Aren't you both quite powerful? One controls electromagnetic lightning, and the other can teleport. Together, you're practically unbeatable! I've been running for so long, yet you two managed to catch up to me. Ordinary Zombies probably haven't even noticed you before you've taken them down." 0

Flattered by his praise, the two girls seemed a bit shy as they scratched their heads. 0

"Well... we're not that amazing. Big Brother, you still need to be a bit stronger." 0

"Exactly! Even that powerful Zombie, Big Dog, couldn't defeat you. Plus, Big Brother is a Sword Immortal; you can fly with your sword! With just one spell, you could easily eliminate those evil Zombies." 0

At this point, the two girls began to argue. 0

"Keara is such an idiot! What Sword Immortal? A Sword Immortal flies with a sword; before, Big Brother flew with a knife, so he should be called Sword Immortal!" 0

"Pfft! Ling'er is the real idiot! There’s only ever been Sword Immortals; I've never heard of anyone called Sword Immortal... Have you ever heard of that title, Ling'er?" 0

"Of course I've heard of it!" 0

"Where?" 0

"In... in... anyway, I've heard of it." 0

"Hmph... clearly you're just trying to avoid answering. You haven't really heard of Sword Immortal, have you?" 0

"I have heard of it!" 0

"Really?" 0

"Really!" 0

"Then where did you hear about it? Come on, let me hear it." 0

"I... I... I'm not telling you! That idiot Keara, I don't want to tell you anything." 0

"You're just avoiding the question because you're making things up... Ling'er is a big liar, Big Brother, you shouldn't listen to her. She's the worst." 0

"Woo... you! Keara, you're the liar! Big Brother, you should ignore her." 0

Watching the two girls bicker and drag him into their argument, Chu Donglin shrugged, as if he had expected this all along. 0

"Then let me help you settle this and see who the real liar is." 0

The two arguing girls paused and turned their heads simultaneously. 0

"How will you decide?" 0

"I'll ask you a question. If any of you answer correctly, I'll know she's not a liar... Conversely, if someone lies, then she is a fraud, alright?" 0

"Sure, sure! Big Brother, go ahead and ask. I want to expose the fraud named Ling!" 0

"Hmph! Big Brother, hurry up and ask. This fraud Keara can't hide for long." 0

Under the eager gazes of the two girls, Chu Donglin chuckled, "Did you know me before? When did you meet me?" 0

The two girls exchanged glances, but before they could speak, a sudden loud splash echoed from beneath the bridge, as if some enormous creature was thrashing about on the surface of the Li River. 0

Chu Donglin was taken aback and instinctively leaned his head over the edge of the bridge. 0

However, the river was empty; not even a floating boat was in sight. The cold moonlight reflected off the water's surface, which shimmered gently, making it seem like nothing had happened at all. 0

"Big Brother, what happened?" 0

"Yeah, Big Brother, why did you suddenly lean out? Is there something on the river?" 0

Looking at the empty river surface, Chu Donglin pondered for a few seconds before finally turning his head back. 0

"Nothing. I just..." 0

He didn't finish his sentence. 0

A chilling tremor and fear surged from deep within his soul. As that overwhelming mental storm swept across the entire Li River Bridge, all the Zombies let out piercing wails. 0

At the forefront, both the White Wolf on the bridge and Chu Donglin froze in place, their minds blank for an instant as they stood there dumbfounded. 0

That sensation of losing all conscious resistance in an instant felt less like deception and more like encountering a higher-level monster's intimidation, leaving their brains momentarily blank. 0

On the Li River bridge, the only two intact Girls exchanged a glance. Looking at Chu Donglin, who had suddenly lost all consciousness, they silently drew out sharp knives and each plunged one into his body. 0

Thud—thud— 0

The sound of blood splattering echoed almost simultaneously as Chu Donglin was stabbed in the heart and left side. 0

Even though the Zombie's vital point had shifted to the brain, and a stab to the heart wouldn't necessarily kill him, the sudden damage to the central supply of blood caused Chu Donglin's body to stiffen entirely. 0

He jolted awake from the shock of Mental Power, staring in disbelief at the two innocent-looking girls before him, clutching his chest with a look of astonishment. 0

"You... you two..." 0

The two Girls gazed at his horrified expression and smiled sweetly. 0

"Big Brother, goodbye." 0

With that, both girls extended their fair hands and pushed hard against Chu Donglin's chest. 0

As a result, the stiffened Chu Donglin was pushed backward and fell over the railing of the Li River bridge. 0

A few seconds later, a loud splash echoed from below the bridge, strikingly noticeable in the desolate night. 0

Watching Chu Donglin fall into the water, the two girls giggled sweetly. 0

"Big Brother, don’t blame us, okay? After all, you kicked us away last time. We liked you so much, but you treated us like that. It really hurt Ling'er’s feelings." 0

"Exactly! Keara trusted you so much, yet you took the chance to kick her out. If it weren't for Keara's quick reaction, both my sister and I could have been killed... Consider these two stabs as what you owe us." 0

With that, the two girls clapped their hands, seemingly pleased with their collaboration. 0

"Sister." 0

"Big Sister." 0

"You are just amazing!" 0

As the two girls cheerfully praised each other, the White Wolf beneath them suddenly let out an angry roar. 0

The unexpected attack on Chu Donglin caught it off guard, causing it to struggle and thrash about, trying to shake the two girls off its back. 0

However, there was no need for it to try. The moment the White Wolf roared, the two girls had already vanished from its back, returning to the lamppost where they had first appeared. 0

Standing atop the tall lamppost and looking down at the White Wolf on the bridge, Ling Er pointed at the river below and called out, "Big Dog, aren't you going to save your master? If you don't hurry, he'll be swept away by the river!" 0

Keara chimed in with a grin, "Yeah, even though Zombie won't die from just having his heart pierced, he can't move at all right now. What kind of monster just swam by him? Aren't you afraid your master will get eaten?" 0

The White Wolf shot a reluctant and furious glance at the two gleeful girls before turning around without hesitation and leaping off the dozens of meters high bridge, splashing into the rushing river below. (To be continued...) 0
