Throwing the fat Pan Dayou aside, Chu Donglin took a deep breath and lifted the unconscious Xing'er into his arms, casting a glance at the Enchanting woman across from him.
A faint smile graced Acha's face.
“Mr. Chu, are you leaving? Why not stay a bit longer? I truly admire you and would love to chat more. After all, someone like you, who can resist the mental corrosion of the virus solely through willpower, is quite rare... Oh no, perhaps it's not just rare; it might be completely impossible. I doubt anyone else in the world can maintain their memory and personality under the influence of the Zombie Virus. Truly impressive.”
Amidst Acha's playful flattery, Chu Donglin looked at her coldly, furrowing his brow.
“You know a lot about the Zombie virus?”
Seeing Chu Donglin's serious demeanor, Acha suddenly burst into laughter.
She laughed so hard that she had to clutch her stomach, seemingly struggling to catch her breath.
“Pfft... Haha... Mr. Chu... Hahaha... You are just too amusing! Hahaha... Honestly, looking at your serious face, I sometimes can't help but think how funny it would be if someone could take off that stern expression and replace it with that of a comedian. It would be hilarious... Hahaha... I'm just joking; you don't really believe me, do you? You trust me this much? Not even a hint of doubt? Hehe... If that's the case, then I'm truly flattered~~”
Even with her unrestrained laughter, this woman exuded an enchanting charm that seemed deeply ingrained in her very being. Every smile and frown appeared captivating and alluring, making it hard to look away.
Chu Donglin snorted coldly but chose not to engage with this strange woman any further.
Cradling the unconscious Liu Xiner, he expanded his Mental Power outward, causing the air to vibrate with a piercing sound.
The sharp sound waves rippled across the water surface in the Lotus Garden, and as the sound quickly spread, it soon reached outside the villa where White Wolf was waiting.
In an instant, a loud wolf howl echoed from afar outside the villa.
“Awooo!”
In response to the roar, White Wolf leaped over the tall walls of the Resort, charging into the eerie, deserted villa.
Moments later, the swift White Wolf roared as it entered the Lotus Garden, arriving at Chu Donglin's side.
With its blood-red eyes filled with vigilance, White Wolf surveyed the surrounding monsters.
However, Chu Donglin stood calmly among the group of monsters, not immediately attacking the creatures that were enveloped in an aura of evil darkness. Instead, he quietly walked up to Chu Donglin.
The massive figure approached, and on the somewhat narrow path of Lotus Garden, White Wolf appeared as large as a skyscraper, casting a shadow that made the Deep Divers restless.
"Chirp chirp... chirp... chirp chirp chirp..."
The strange, hoarse screams were unpleasant and noisy. The group of Deep Divers near Chu Donglin retreated in fear as White Wolf drew closer, unable to withstand its terrifying presence.
After all, White Wolf's enormous body resembled that of a fantastical monster, and its dark red eyes brimmed with murderous intent. No matter how one looked at it, it did not seem like a friendly creature; rather, it resembled a ferocious wolf god from mythology, instilling fear in all intelligent beings.
It walked up to Chu Donglin, lowering its head gently to gaze at Liu Xiner, who was unconscious in his arms. It glanced around the surroundings with a look of confusion, unsure of what had transpired.
Chu Donglin clearly had no intention of explaining anything to White Wolf. He casually tossed the unconscious Pan Dayou onto White Wolf's back and then jumped onto White Wolf himself while holding the unconscious Liu Xiner, leaving without looking back.
In the distance, Acha's playful farewell echoed, but Chu Donglin paid no attention.
Furrowing his brow, he looked down at the girl in his arms and gently smoothed her furrowed brow.
Although it had only been a brief encounter, Chu Donglin was already filled with wariness and vigilance towards the woman who called herself Aicha.
He had no intention of getting too close to such an enigmatic stranger who wielded powers beyond those of ordinary people. In this perilous and uncertain apocalypse, it was best to keep a safe distance from someone who seemed eccentric and whose mental state was clearly unstable while possessing formidable strength.
Such individuals with unusual thought processes were like ticking time bombs; one could never know when they might go off and endanger their companions.
Carrying the unconscious Xing'er along with the hefty Pan Dayou, Chu Donglin rode on White Wolf's back away from what was once a bustling resort now desolate as a graveyard.
Standing atop White Wolf's back, the cool evening breeze tousled Chu Donglin's white hair.
Recently, Wocheng's temperatures had been dropping steadily. However, due to the lack of weather forecasts and mobile networks for other predictions, people were unaware of just how low the temperature had fallen.
They silently changed the thin clothing and short sleeves that Xia was wearing, replacing them with thicker winter garments and wrapping a scarf around her.
Honestly, the temperature in Wocheng was much warmer compared to Chu Donglin's hometown, Wangcheng. At least the air here was quite dry, so even if the temperature dropped, it didn't feel too cold; it was only uncomfortable when the cold wind blew.
The wind in Wocheng was the kind that pierced to the bone, making one shiver.
In contrast, there was rarely any wind in Chu Donglin's hometown. The chilling cold that came from the damp air alone was enough to make it unbearable for humans.
Looking at Liu Xiner's beautiful face, unconscious in his arms, Chu Donglin silently made a decision in his heart.
He was waiting.
Once Snow and Shishi evolved to Third-Stage, he would take his Zombies and set off for Wangcheng.
He had visited the library in Wocheng several times and had prepared enough maps to ensure he wouldn't get lost.
Originally, his plan was to evolve Snow, Shishi, and the other Zombie subordinates into Third-Stage before returning to Wangcheng with an army of Third-Stage Zombies.
However, with the increasingly cold temperatures, Chu Donglin could no longer wait. Although he understood that his parents' safety was now assured, every moment he lingered in Wocheng meant more suffering for them. He had to quickly wrap up matters in Wocheng and return to his parents. (To be continued...)
