This was the first time Wei Ning had ever seen black Yama Paper in his life. What were these Wax Figures that required the highest quality Yama Paper to contain them? 0

Zhang Ye, on the other hand, was not focused on the strange wax figures. He had been staring at the male corpse on the Cold Jade Bed for quite some time. 0

The corpse was dressed in clothing from the Republic Era, appearing to be in his thirties. Strangely enough, he bore a resemblance to Wei Ning. However, there was not a trace of decay on the body, likely due to the Cold Jade Bed's properties. The face looked peaceful, as if he were merely asleep. 0

Thirteen Wax Corpses, along with this male corpse from the Republic Era, created a bizarre scene. 0

"Damn it, this is exactly what I wanted!" Zhang Ye exclaimed joyfully, reaching under the corpse's waist with his right hand. Suddenly, he shouted in surprise, "Damn it! I've been tricked; it's a eunuch!" 0

At that moment, the male corpse suddenly clamped its legs together, and with a crack, Zhang Ye's right hand was severed. 0

"Get out of here!" Wei Ning said in a low voice, quickly casting a talisman and sticking it onto the corpse's forehead. At the same time, Zhang Ye showed remarkable resilience; ignoring his severed hand and without a sound of pain, he pulled out a thick-backed machete from behind and swung it at the corpse. 0

The male corpse dodged Zhang Ye's machete by sidestepping and leaped up. However, it couldn't stop its momentum and collided directly with Wei Ning. Seizing the opportunity, Wei Ning pressed the talisman onto the corpse's forehead. 0

"Why is its chest so soft?" Wei Ning thought as he brushed past the corpse. "Like that of a woman." 0

After passing by Wei Ning, the male corpse had already created several meters of distance between itself and both Zhang Ye and Wei Ning. At that moment, Wu Haozi had already loaded his hunting rifle and was about to fire at the male corpse. 0

"Better not move," the male corpse surprisingly spoke—its voice was distinctly feminine. It pulled out a silver handgun and aimed it darkly at Wu Haozi, forcing Wu Haozi to lower his finger from the trigger. 0

"Who are you?" Zhang Ye spat angrily while taking out gauze from his military pack to bandage his severed hand. 0

The figure replied nonchalantly, "I can't be bothered to chat with you. Hand over the Soul-Eating Doll, and I'll spare all three of your lives." 0

Wei Ning felt that this person seemed familiar in both shape and voice but couldn't recall where he had seen her before. 0

"What Soul-Eating Doll? I’ve never heard of it. I'm here specifically for that thing." 0

Suddenly, Wei Ning coldly said, "Brother Zhang, what do you mean? What exactly are you here for? Give me an explanation." 0

The person suddenly laughed coldly. "How ridiculous! Wei Ning, since you were young, aside from being someone else's pawn, what else have you done? In the end, you've been tricked into digging up your own ancestor's grave. Ridiculous." 0

Zhang Ye realized he had misspoken and hurriedly said, "Wei, I'll explain everything later. Right now, our priority is to deal with this ambiguous creature." 0

The man tightened his grip on the gun and coldly said, "Those who aren't afraid of death can come at me. Let's see whose weapon is faster, yours or mine." 0

Zhang Ye and Wu Haozi felt a sense of dread and dared not act recklessly. The man continued, "In this place, besides the three of you, I'm the only one here. The Soul-Eating Doll is only with you; who else could have it?" 0

Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck Wei Ning, and he exclaimed, "You are Lin." 0

The man slightly swayed and replied, "I don't know you." 0

"Then how do you know my name is Wei Ning?" 0

"I guessed. Is that not allowed?" 0

Suddenly, a chilling voice echoed, "Indeed, his surname is Lin. Unfortunately, he is Lin Lingsu, a renowned beauty from the Dragon-Tiger Lineage's younger generation. Don't you think your old-fashioned approach to flirting is a bit outdated? Right, Sister Lin?" 0

At that moment, an enormous head of a Golden Python emerged from the Suspended Mirror. Its movements were grand yet did not splash a single drop of water. Wei Ning had only seen Golden Pythons on television before, but this was the first time he encountered one so large; its head alone was over a meter tall, with eyes glowing like two lanterns. If an ordinary person saw it, they would likely be terrified to death. 0

The Golden Python continued, "This Soul-Eating Doll is indeed not with those three. I have been following them; they are truly entering for the first time." 0

From the Golden Python's words, Wei Ning confirmed Lin Lingsu's true identity but wondered why she refused to acknowledge him. Had she forgotten him? Remembering their past encounters in Phoenix made his heart ache slightly. 0

Lin Lingsu frowned and said, "Are you a dog? How can your nose be so sensitive? Why do you always seem to sniff out good things?" 0

The Golden Python replied, "I wouldn't dare! I've merely been trailing behind your Dragon-Tiger lineage for scraps." 0

Slowly, the Golden Python opened its mouth and used its forked tongue to pull out a young man who appeared to be around twenty years old. He wore a pure white suit; strangely enough, despite emerging from the snake's mouth, he was completely free of any slime. He was indeed quite handsome but had thin lips that gave off a chilling vibe. "I am Yang Na, the Laoshan Snake Charmer," he greeted everyone. 0

"So, Sister Lin," Yang Na said as he approached the Suspended Mirror and pulled out a black bottle from his pocket. He poured its contents onto the mirror, which instantly turned murky. "It would be best for you to hand over the Soul-Eating Doll for everyone's sake. Otherwise..." 0

Lin Lingsu coldly interrupted him, "Yang Na, what are you trying to do?" 0

"Nothing much," Yang Na shrugged. "I just want to see who can survive here the longest. The timer starts now; it would be wise for everyone to remain still and conserve energy so that if the first person starves to death, we still have something to eat." 0

Zhang Ye suddenly said, "So you're the one who tipped me off?" 0

Yang Na nodded in affirmation. "That's right." 0

Zhang Ye coldly said, "So, that thing of yours is also fake?" 0

Yang Na replied, "Wei Qiuxi did come here; my people have already confirmed it. This is real." 0

It turned out that one day, while Zhang Ye was wandering the streets, a wandering Taoist called out to him, pointed out Zhang Ye's hidden ailment, and told him that in a tomb near Changde, the tomb owner had been a notorious figure known as the Night of the Hundred Women. If he could cut off a piece of the owner's words and soak it in wine, it would have the effect of bringing someone back to life. Zhang Ye, who originally believed in the principle of consuming something to restore oneself, had also heard rumors that Wei Qiuxi had appeared in the Changde area (which Yang Na had deliberately leaked to Zhang Ye). This prompted Zhang Ye to invite Wei Ning to join him in this endeavor. 0

Suddenly, Wu Haozi interjected, "Everyone, hold on a moment. Does anyone have paper? Nature calls..." 0

At that moment, tensions were high, and it seemed like a showdown between experts was about to unfold, but Wu Haozi's comment made the atmosphere awkward. The others ignored him, and Wu Haozi felt embarrassed as he muttered, "I get it, I get it." 0

Wei Ning also confirmed from Yang Na that his grandfather was still alive. Although he couldn't determine if Yang Na was lying, he felt a sense of relief. Lin Lingsu said, "Since you are sure Wei Qiuxi has already come, why isn't he the one who took the Soul-Eating Doll?" 0

Yang Na replied calmly, "Wei Qiuxi is currently preoccupied with his own matters. Besides, the Soul-Eating Doll originally belongs to the Wei Family; he has no need for it." 0

Hearing that his grandfather might be in danger again made Wei Ning's heart race. He gradually began to feel that many people seemed to know things about his family that he did not. 0

"Alright, Sister Lin," Yang Na said suddenly with a changed expression and a stern voice. "Don't move!" 0

Wu Haozi had already torn off the Black Hell King Paper from the forehead of a Wax Corpse! 0
