Is it her? How could she be here? 0

Wei Ning and Lin Lingsu stood silently like two stone statues, not knowing how much time had passed until Lin Lingsu finally spoke. 0

"Long time no see." 0

Long time no see, indeed. Wei Ning unconsciously touched her injured eye. Yes, it had been a long time. 0

Lin Lingsu looked at Wei Ning and suddenly said, "You hate me, I know. If you want to take action, then go ahead." Wei Ning remained silent. Lin Lingsu sighed and continued, "Regardless, I did take your eye; it's only natural for you to hate me." 0

Wei Ning replied coldly, "I only hate myself for being blind and allowing someone to take one of my eyes. That's only natural." 0

Lin Lingsu smiled sadly and said, "Yes, I am a bad woman; you deserve better." Suddenly, Lin Lingsu conjured a Seven Star Sword from her hand, pointing it at Wei Ning with a fierce voice. "If you want revenge, now is the time." 0

Wei Ning stared blankly at Lin Lingsu, secretly sighing, "Must we always face each other with swords drawn, fighting to the death?" 0

"Indeed," Lin Lingsu replied. "Because you are the disciple of that great demon Wang Chuyi, and I am of the Lin family; this has destined our fates to be intertwined." 0

Wei Ning shook her head and said, "Is hatred really that important to you? Important enough to give up everything?" 0

"Yes," Lin Lingsu said coldly. "From the moment I was born, my mission has been revenge. For revenge, I can give up anything." 0

Wei Ning asked hoarsely, "Including friends?" 0

Lin Lingsu suddenly fell silent, her eyes revealing an incredibly complex expression as she looked at Wei Ning for a long while before softly saying, "Wei Ning, leave Wang Chuyi. He will only lead you deeper into despair..." 0

Wei Ning interjected, "Must we all be like you? Is it only considered righteous to achieve our goals by any means necessary?" 0

Lin Lingsu paused for a moment before saying in a hoarse voice, "A master's orders are hard to defy." 0

Wei Ning smiled slightly and replied, "A master's orders are hard to defy, indeed. I feel the same way. I lost my father at a young age, and my master took pity on me, cared for me, and taught me the ways of our craft. If you oppose him, you oppose me, Wei Ning. I will not allow you to harm my master. You want my Undying Bone; now is the perfect time for you to make your move." With that, Wei Ning removed her Red Umbrella from her back and pointed it at Lin Lingsu with a stern expression. 0

Lin Lingsu remained silent, merely gazing at Wei Ning with deep eyes that seemed like dark pools. Wei Ning felt her heart twist; her once imposing figure suddenly faltered inexplicably. 0

This woman before her had deceived her time and again, treating her like a joke, playing with her emotions at will. In the end, she had even cruelly taken one of Wei Ning's eyes. Yet why was it that no matter how much she hated her, every time she met Lin Lingsu's calm and profound gaze, all her hatred and resentment vanished? 0

With a long sigh, Wei Ning let her hands drop and said, "Forget it. Just go." After saying that, she turned away without looking back at Lin Lingsu. 0

"Wait." Lin Lingsu suddenly called out to Wei Ning. Wei Ning turned around instantly, gripping her Red Umbrella tightly and demanding sharply, "What more do you want?" 0

Lin Lingsu focused on the tightly held Red Umbrella in Wei Ning's hands, a complex expression flashing in her eyes as she asked, "Where are you going?" 0

Wei Ning replied coldly, "That’s none of your business." 0

Lin Lingsu sighed softly and said, "Do you know where this place is? Do you know where you came from and where you're going?" 0

At those words, Wei Ning was momentarily taken aback. Yes, where exactly was this place? 0

Lin Lingsu then withdrew the Seven Star Sword she had conjured and brushed aside her hair that had been tousled by the night wind. "This is the Cloud Dream Mirror, a spiritual world conjured by the Three-Legged Crow. Right now, neither of us is human; we are merely spirits." 0

Wei Ning was puzzled. Lin Lingsu continued, "Honestly, I don't know how you managed to break through your mental barriers to enter here. Wait a moment; let me show you something." With that, Lin Lingsu conjured the Seven Star Sword again. Thinking Lin Lingsu was about to attack once more, Wei Ning quickly raised her Red Umbrella defensively. Seeing this instinctive act of self-defense from Wei Ning made Lin Lingsu sigh inwardly. She stepped onto the Seven Star Step and began to chant: 0

"Ding Chou extends my life, 0
Ding Hai binds my soul. 0
Ding You controls my spirit, 0
Ding Wei averts my disaster. 0
Ding Si navigates my peril, 0
Ding Yin guides me through misfortune. 0
Jiazi protects my body, 0
Jia Xu preserves my form. 0
Jia Shen secures my life, 0
Jiawu guards my soul. 0
Jia Chen calms my spirit, 0
Jia Yin nurtures my truth." 0

Suddenly, a crack opened in the air, and Wei Ning felt a jolt in his heart. He instinctively looked up to see a massive Golden Armored Deity appearing in the sky. 0

Thinking that Lin Lingsu was about to make a move, Wei Ning quickly took three steps back, drawing the Peach Wood Sword from the Red Umbrella, leaning slightly forward and preparing to defend himself. 0

Seeing Wei Ning's tense expression of vigilance, Lin Lingsu sighed and said to the Golden Armored Deity, "Mengmeng, show him himself." 0

The Golden Armored Deity nodded at Lin Lingsu and waved its hands in the air. A mirror appeared, revealing two stone statues within it. As Wei Ning observed closely, he noticed that the features of these two statues bore a striking resemblance to him and Qiqi. 0

Lin Lingsu explained, "That is your true self and... that woman’s true form. The 'you' now is merely your 'spirit.'" 0

Confused, Wei Ning listened as Lin Lingsu continued, "You and that woman rashly triggered the barrier set by the Three-Legged Crow, entering into the spiritual world it created. Normally, people like you, without any magical artifacts or Divine Generals to protect you, should be forever lost in illusions and unable to awaken. Your true form would turn to stone... But for some reason, you managed to wake up and successfully enter the Three-Legged Crow's Yunmeng illusion." 0

Recalling the scenes he had just witnessed, Wei Ning felt a wave of fear wash over him. If Liu Linglang hadn't timely awakened him from his trance, he might have truly been trapped forever. 0

Suddenly, a realization struck Wei Ning. He thought anxiously, "Oh no, Qiqi doesn’t have Liu Linglang or any Divine General with her; she definitely can’t escape from the illusion. What should I do?" 0

Lin Lingsu's expression darkened as she asked softly, "Is that woman important to you?" 0

Wei Ning did not answer her question but instead asked back, "How can I save her?" 0

Lin Lingsu smiled faintly and replied, "It seems you really care about her. There is only one way: unless you find the Three-Legged Crow and have it lift her illusion." 0

"Then what are we waiting for? Let’s hurry and find it!" Wei Ning exclaimed as he prepared to leave. Suddenly he paused; a thought struck him: he had come here to find one of the Three-Legged Crow's eyes. But what was Lin Lingsu doing here? 0

Could it be that she was also here to find the Three-Legged Crow? 0

What does she want with the Three-Legged Crow? 0

Wei Ning seemed to have thought of a possibility, then chuckled in disbelief, "How could that be?" 0

Lin Lingsu fell silent for a moment and said, "I'll go with you." 0

"Aren't you just going to cause me trouble again?" 0

Lin Lingsu's expression changed, and she replied coldly, "That's right, I am here to cause you trouble." 0

A moment of silence ensued. 0

Suddenly, Lin Lingsu looked up, lightly biting her lip, and whispered, "Wei Ning, can't you trust me just this once? I really... really... am not here to harm you." 0

In the distance, a layer of mist shrouded the ground, hiding unknown things within it. Just like how Wei Ning viewed Lin Lingsu at that moment, she seemed to be wrapped in countless layers of mystery, making it impossible for Wei Ning to uncover the truth. 0

After a long silence, Wei Ning finally said, "Let's go." The two walked one after the other into the depths of the mist. The fog was thick, soaking Lin Lingsu's clothes. Wei Ning remained silent as he held up the Red Umbrella, sheltering Lin Lingsu beneath it. The space under the umbrella was small; Wei Ning barely fit half of his body under it. Although Lin Lingsu was not as tall as Qiqi, she was only three inches shorter than Wei Ning. Standing together, they truly resembled a pair of beautiful people. 0

Yet who could know that this seemingly perfect couple each harbored their own feelings deep within their hearts? 0
